If this utterly stupid totalitarian stuff had come from anyone else I would be petrified. Coming from Trump it is easy to dismiss it as just another silly act in his ongoing clown show a breath a complacent sigh of relief by the GOP's dismissal. What is scary, really scary, is this guy is a front runner. Millions of Republicans love him. This is to say he is the leader of a totalitarian mob.
SuperLib
Well the GOP has their war on women, war on gays, war on minorities, and now a war on Muslims. Meanwhile, Fox News is airing interviews asking, "Does Obama hate America because he's black?"
zurcronium
But Trump will promise to make the trains run on time.
Wow, the republicans are turning fascist. Trump may have gone one step to far but clearly he is their leader and they are following down the path of Germany prior to WW2. Hitler was democratically elected as Trump is attempting to do. And Carson comparing people to rapid dogs? It all started with the republican psychopathic hatred of Obama because he is black, then it was Mexicans and now it is Muslims. Republicans are hate based, they change the target of their hate as circumstances change over time. Pretty sad way to see the world.
Jimizo
"Trump is the American equivalent of the Imams who preach hate."
"If it's OK for Iran, it's ok for the USA."
I've been convinced for a long time that if Iran was a Christian rather than Islamic theocracy, many on the the US right would be looking at it in envy rather than hatred.
CrazyJoe
Seems pretty clear to me: TeaRump is clearly a fascist, racist demagogue who doesn't share basic American values like right to practice religion without governmental oppression or protections against unwarranted searches and seizures. He and his Tea Bag supporters are anti-American and they need to be resoundingly defeated -- any fair minded American with even a stint of human decency and ethics should be able to see a megalomaniac scumbag like TeaRump from miles away.
nath
Those who set the bar at the lowest common denominator end up being the lowest common people.
What has made the USA great in the past it that it set the bar higher than everyone else. Not at the bottom of the pile.
kcjapan
That just isn't true. GOP Shia Tea candidates have only called for death camps (homosexuals), concentration camps (Muslims) and re-education camps (college educated). It is insulting to all fascists everywhere to suggest the GOP Shia Tea is dictatorial in their intent. Obviously, in their comment stream here, they are just trying to save Americans from ideas they don't agree with.
It is so sickening to read comments that suggest death to homosexuals, ID chips for Muslims and college graduates are somehow un-American or un-Democratic.
Shame on you sir commenter. These are just good and faithful GOP Shia Teas trying to take their country back. It is surprising any American would question their necessary and unexamined tactics.
Rump the Great has made it clear racism is a standard of judgement. Cruz, Jindal and Huckabee have tacitly endorsed death camps for homosexuals as Pastor Swanson demands. Why is fascism getting dragged through the mud?
And college? Well, American colleges are obviously the seed bed of rational analysis that might question the tactics required to take the country back from socialism and a Kenyan President. Who, by the way, happens to be, you know, (whisper) black.
Please read posts from the few enlightened oppressed here who attack the defilers of AWOL Bush's credo: "You're either with us or against us."
Poor AWOL Bush, he always gets the blame for starting a war based on lies and the next fifty years of fallout from the GOP Shia Tea. It is all so unfair.
kcjapan
Rump the Great has again confirmed his prejudice.
Another GOP Shia Tea bigot shoots for a fan base of maggot ignorance.
Rump makes one thing clear, rich doesn't equal smart.
Rump may be rich but he must be the richest bigot ever to run for the highest office in the land of the free and home of the brave.
Hey! Rump! Why don't you call Senator McCain a loser again? Or the Mexican workers murderers and rapists? Or Americans losers? Oh, wait, now it's concentration camps for Muslims?
Sure thing, Rump has one of the most offensive GOP Shia Tea campaigns since that dope from Alaska. Why does the GOP Shia Tea hate Americans so much? What's behind all that?
In Rump's case it's clear, he's a racist, money grubbing dictator wanna-be. Just read his announcement for candidacy, and every statement since. Talk about throwing his future away. What a loser.
kcjapan
Completely false! Rump's god is the dollar. Wait a tick, you might be right.
Laguna
The elephant in the room is Trump's constituency. Who here can say how they will react to a further ratcheting-up of the fascism? - They've lapped it up before. If his ratings don't plunge after this, America's got bigger problems than Jihadists.
TheRat
Oh, by the way, lose the junior high school antics of name-calling. Obama a tyrant? HOW? And what is some wrong with the low unemployment rate, stock market that is three times higher than under george psycho-monkey Bush, (I do stocks, see,)' and more people who are insured? I can go on with 50 more achievements, if you wish.
PTownsend
That pretty much nutshells my feelings about Trump and the gun packing water cooler warriors who support him.
kcjapan
Rump's prejudice is better seen in light of the nature and composition of the GOP Shia Tea.
source: http://www.patheos.com/blogs/dispatches/2015/11/20/huckabee-cruz-jindal-refuse-to-repudiate-swanson/#sthash.WYn1IPJR.dpuf
While Rump looks to create concentration camps for Muslims, three others of the GOP Shia Tea look to create death camps for the homosexual required by Kevin Swanson's camp of religious nutballs.
While the GOP Shia Tea claims Rump's concentration camps are too much to pray for, death camps for gays aren't too much for Cruz, Jindal or Huckabee's tacit endorsement.
As Rump would say: "it's just good management". Americans must wonder how far the GOP Shia Tea will go to attract fewer and fewer of the mentally disturbed who want both religious and sexual bigotry to define the government of a GOP Shia Tea administration.
Maybe the disgusting ignorance of these candidates truly represents the GOP Shia Tea. Still, it's early in the campaign. When the GOP Shia Tea gets the KKK endorsement the case should pretty well be closed on the identity and intentions of the Republican Party.
There's still time to get off the bus, but will they? Doubtful. The cliff of ignorance and hate seems an irresistible draw for the bigots and homophobes of the GOP Shia Tea. Maybe ISIS could use a few more like them in their campaign for hearts and minds slaughtered on the foundations of civilization. After all, what is the difference in their goals?

"But the Democrat racists are smart when they say, "Climate change is the reason for radical Islam???" Could the past severe droughts in Syria have anything to do with this? The Pentagon does consider climate change a big threat, especially in Africa.
Simon Foston
I'm sure it would be the USA's all time, number one best buddy. The Israelis and Saudis wouldn't even get a look-in.
nishikat
"liberals hating Whites or Christians and capitalism?" Bill Gates is Liberal and famous capitlst. Evangelicals are annoying - yes they are hated and less people are going to church. The problem is too many Republicans literally believe in the book of Bible fair tales and think the earth will end soon when Jesus floats back to earth. Many Republicans in power literally believe in that.
"Worse than we already have had for the last 7 years???" How? Stock market up. Deportations up. Crime down. Unemployment down. Dollar up. Gas prices down. Number of millionaires up. Taxes down. Obama is a winner.
"forcing refugees on the country where the majority of Americans feel unsafe and uneasy" But you said you want them to come to the USA, Washington DC, specifically.
"so why are so many people still reluctant to invest in the US" How is the stock price at your Global Fortune 500 corporation where you were Chairman and CEO? By the way, which company is that? You never mentioned. Also, is their Paris office OK? Did you retire? Who is the CEO now?
"Carter had a failed rescue attempt, hostages" So as you confirm it's a minor failure. Thousands of US troops didn't die and many many killed displaced in which president? Then in 2008 what crashed under what president? It was detrimental to your corporation.
PTownsend
Sadly I think it might be so for the hard of thinking, those who want to paint 20% of the world's population with one broad brush.
Here's an article about who should take action to defend your people.

Triumvere
I love that the thumbnail for this in the article list is just Trump's ridiculous hair.
Serrano
Trump is distancing himself from this, saying a reporter first brought it up. He still should not have said what he said.
But he's still leading the Republican field.
elephant200
Do you believe there isnt exist a muslim database since or before 9/11/2001? Did you guys remember that "Census 2000" ? Mr Trump is updating what has already existed, he just spoken something that shouldnt say in the public.
Simon Foston
Might also have helped if a Republican US administration hadn't collaborated with a Conservative UK government to get rid of Iran's democratically elected PM in 1953 and hand power to a compliant but brutal despot that the Iranians loathed. Everything that's happened in the Middle East has come down to western governments of every political stripe reaping what they've sown. But nice try blaming it all on a single weak Democrat presidency.
Simon Foston
I did say a "weak Democratic presidency", didn't I?
Um, I really don't think they do. They preach all kinds of mad, bad stuff just like Trump, and then psychos who listen to them go off and do all that stuff.
Check out SAVAK. Helpfully set up for the Shah by his obliging friends at the CIA.
bass4funk
Carter had a failed rescue attempt, hostages that were held for 444 days, out of control gas prices, yeah, I remember very well. One of the worst!
TheRat
Hey! Rump! Why don't you call Senator McCain a loser again? Or the Mexican workers murderers and rapists? Or Americans losers? Oh, wait, now it's concentration camps for Muslims? You didn't hear or paid attention to what happened in France last week, huh?
So, a little terrorism and you cave into complete fear. Which is what the ISIS want. So you want concentration camps for muslims? Wild, and that would be the best recruiting too for ISIS, so many Americans who were leading normal lives, deprived because their delusional god did not match the Christian delusional murderous god. You make a nice fascist, Bass.
bass4funk
Sorry, conservative Whites and Christians, there I fixed it.
I dare to say that in the South.
Who cares what they privately believe, it's none of our business what anyone thinks, as long as they are not hurting people, who cares what they believe or think.
Investments are down. Deportations are up. Oh, yeah and now we have ISIS members trying to sneak in through Honduras. Borders are open. Crime is off the charts, police chastised to the point where they are afraid to do anything for the fear of being sued, LA, Chicago, Philly, DC, NY crime is off the charts. Chicago by far the worst! Unemployment is up, Black unemployment the highest. wages are down, Household median income is almost $2000 less since Obama took office and thank God, as the sun rises and the tide rolls in and out, this president is on his final stretch to leaving the White House. I'll be so happy, I might get a heart attack for glee.
Yes, on the White House Lawn, keep them there so that Obama can shower them with his love and grace.
Ahh, that's why he was a one-term president, ok. A minor failure. ROFL
In some ways it was a blessing in disguise, because had he served a 2nd term, the Soviet Union would still be around.
And who were the 2 leading Democrats that were in charge and oversaw the fallout of that and did nothing about it?
You call what has happened in Europe and Africa "a little terrorism??" This is exactly why liberals scare me to death. So then that means, you probably think the space shuttle Challenger disaster was small, minor crash. Wow, dude, just.....smh....
Sure, but being vigilant and being complacent isn't something to laugh at.
I want a halt to bringing in all muslim refugees until they are properly vetted, however long it takes, and if you want to conflate being cautious with racism, then that is something I would expect liberals to think.
So when was the last time Christians were on a warpath causing mayhem and destruction and beheading people on TV, blowing themselves up and using children and women to murder people?
No, I just refuse to live in the progressive liberal unicorn paisley fantasy hypocritical bubble that libs are so used to residing in.
nishikat
"Investments are down. Deportations are up" Yes
"I dare to say that in the South." You dare to say that? What do you mean? You dare to say something to yourself?
"Who cares what they privately believe" Well, Muslim extremists think killing people allows them to go to heaven so the connection if obvious.
OK, so you welcome Syrian refugees to the USA. And you want them to meet the president. You are kind.
"And who were the 2 leading Democrats" I didn't know Bush and Cheney were Democrats. Because you always connect the president directly to the economy. As you said you think the Challenger disaster was caused by the President.
By the way, have you met Bill Gates?
What corporation were you CEO of? You never answer. Why?
The Soviets bankrupted themselves. Reagan was just president at that time. BTW, Reagan granted 3M green card amnesty.
"this president is on his final stretch to leaving the White House" Then Trump who is going to raise taxes. How can you like a socialist. Obama is not since taxes have been down.
"Crime is off the charts" Going down since the 90s.
bass4funk
Not from Honduras, Guatemala and El Salvador. Absolutely not.
About that comment about Evangelicals.
But as long as we are in the US or Europe, we're allowed to think and feel as we please and they don't like it, they can stay where they are, but leave us alone.
No, I just want the president to leave in 14 months and Michael and the president should house these people.
Bush spent money as bad as any Democrat. I never said, he was a conservative.
I said that verbatim? hmmm don't see that.
No, but I did interview Jobs in 1996.
By building up our Nuclear arsenal and the Soviets doing the same, which financially drained their economy. Carter didn't have that kind of vision or the smarts.
Under the condition that the Democrats would close and seal off the border, well, we all know now that was just a pack of lies.
I never was a Trump supporter. I would never support a Democrat.
Is that why people are leaving California, New York and most of the liberal big cities because taxes are down? Exodus! Must be also the reason why corporate taxes are out of control in the States. 40%, but you guys think that's low. I keep forgetting how bad liberals are at math.
http://www.usatoday.com/story/news/2015/07/09/us-cities-homicide-surge-2015/29879091/

Off the charts and this from two of the biggest liberal print outlets.
nishikat
"I dare to say that in the South." "About that comment about Evangelicals." You think Evangelicals are brainwashed too? OK
OK, you stated you want Syrian refugees to come to the USA.
"I never was a Trump supporter. I would never support a Democrat." Trump is a Democrat?
"Under the condition that the Democrats would close and seal off the border" Impossible. But they generally come through airports.
"No, but I did interview Jobs in 1996." So did you hire Steve Jobs too? Did he accept the job? Did he work for your Global fortune 500 corporation where you were CEO?
" I just want the president to leave in 14 months" Who do you want for President next?
"By building up our Nuclear arsenal and the Soviets doing the same, which financially drained their economy. Carter didn't have that kind of vision or the smarts." This was happening way before Reagan (who greencarded 3M illegals) too.
"Bush spent money as bad as any Democrat. I never said, he was a conservative." But you said Bush was 1000x better than Obama.
Sorry the greencard fiasco is on Reagan's watch.
You said that under Bush Blacks had more equal pay compared to Obama.
You also said that many many more cops are being murdered on the job compared to before.
"Carter didn't have that kind of vision or the smarts." What kind of engineer was he? Where did he go to school?
"Off the charts and this from two of the biggest liberal print outlets." Overall in the United States compared to decades ago.
bass4funk
Some, sure.
No, I just want the president to leave in 14 months and Michael and the president should house these people in their homes.
But we don't know since the borders are open.
About his company and about Macintosh as they were called back then.
"By building up our Nuclear arsenal and the Soviets doing the same, which financially drained their economy. Carter didn't have that kind of vision or the smarts."
Besides the spending, of course.
As well as the open border being on the Dems.
They weren't suffering as they are now under Obama. Ask "Maxine Waters."
This year especially.
"Carter didn't have that kind of vision or the smarts." What kind of engineer was he? Where did he go to school?
He didn't show it during his presidency and especially during the hostage crisis.
No, the media has always been liberal bias.
turbotsat
What year was that?
Wc626
You don't become one of the youngest and newest nations rising to superpower status without raising the bar and being innovative. I ain't saying america is the "best."
Just that it is fair to say, it has achieved some sort of greatness. Why would u disagree turbostat?
nishikat
Glad to hear you are OK about refugees coming into the USA through Washington DC. Check the news that religious leaders want this too. Since Republicans are religious they will want to admit all these refugees. Look at Reagen.. He admitted 3M green card recipients. It's a Republican policy.
nishikat
Oh, so you were not CEO yet at your corporation when you interviewed Steve Jobs. What job was Steve Jobs interviewing for at your company? How come he didn't join?
bass4funk
Go back and read what I wrote.
nishikat
What position did you offer Steve Jobs?
turbotsat
What year did it achieve that perfection that it has purportedly fallen from? What was so great about what USA did in the past that is different from what it does now?
Without post-WWII USA involvement there wouldn't be a South Korea, a West or unified Germany, or a peaceful, undivided Japan.
nishikat
In case anyone wants the real facts it's very difficult to come to the USA as a refugee (always has been)
You apply through the United Nations High Commission of Refugees, which collects documents and performs interviews. Less than one percent of refugees worldwide end up being recommended for resettlement If you’re one of them, you may then be referred to the State Department to begin the vetting process At this point, more information is collected, and you’ll be put through security screenings by the National Counterterrorism Center, the FBI, and the Department of Homeland Security If you’re a Syrian refugee, you’ll get an additional layer of screening called the Syria Enhanced Review, which may include a further check by a special part of Homeland Security—the USCIS [United States Citizenship and Immigration Services] fraud detection and national security directorate. Then, you finally get an interview with USCIS officers and you’ll also be fingerprinted so your prints can be run through the biometric databases of the FBI, Department of Homeland Security, and the Department of Defense. If you make it through all that, you’ll also have health screenings which, If everything comes back clear, you’ll be enrolled in cultural orientation classes—all while your information continues to be checked recurrently against terrorist databases to make sure that no new information comes in that wasn’t caught before.” This process typically takes 18 to 24 months once you’ve been referred to the U.N. by the United States. This is the most rigorous vetting anyone has to face before entering this country.
So bass when they enter through DC as you suggest Bass they will be able to move about freely while the United States stays safe.

GOP candidates to Trump: "We're racists and moral cowards, too, but YOU, sir, take the cake!"

Trump is the American equivalent of the Imams who preach hate.
MichaelDD
Thi might have been a relevant article but for one thing. Mr. Trump never said it.
Zenpun
I feel security of community is more important than individual rights. France was the birthplace of Liberty, freedom and human rights. Pleasing many immigrants will not shower the France with Roses and Wines. Instead Paris has been rewarded with bullets and bombs.
Many Muslim youths of have been radicalized in both US and EU. Boston bombing brothers movement have been ignored by FBI despite the warning from Russia. If Trump will implement and monitor the database of particular group, USA will minimize the risks although it will not eliminate entirely.
Political correctness will not make US is safer. Trump is not a polished politician. He has gut to stand up for his belief without sugar coated words. Trumps looks sincere. He is not pretending and acting as movie actor.
Wc626
Okay, you kinda' got me. But you gotta admit, Carter was a clown. Clinton . . . well he was actually "impeached" by the senate. Obama? (Lets not go there.)
No. The imams burn pilots alive and chop of heads. They brainwash in the name of Allah. They kidnap women and little girls. There "is" no equivalent to those actions.
Wc626
@Simon. Yes, you did say. My bad.
(No pun intended) Again. My bad. The late Jihadi John and other ISIS henchmen are accountable to those atrocities.
nishikat
Well, Carter didn't really have any wars. Also, he had the wisdom (shared with Bush 1st) that invading Iraq would be a disaster in the trillions of dollars - and many many lives.
Wc626
Yeah, it's a shame Trump had to stoop that low. It's also a shame he' s more or less leading the (R) polls. Hey- I admit it. But there has to be some assurance to american population that IS will be limited on penetrating our security.
When NFL Superbowl Games and NBA Finals series are "cancelled" amid "security threats", will be unacceptable. The Germans just dealt with that blow. Blame Merkel-
Don't blame me, I didn't vote for, "CHANGE."
bass4funk
As long as they stay with Michael Moore and on the WH lawn or with ANY of the Democratic senators that can house them, sure.
I could care less, most people could care less. For cryin out, they gave shelter and protected child molesters, go figure.
But they don't.
And he was betrayed by a Democratic congress that never intended to keep that promise of closing the borders. It's a democratic scheme and lie.
nath
And some people have tried to claim trump isn't a racist.
dcog9065
It's amusing that we are still hearing quotes like this explicitly blaming the candidate for the toxic political climate, instead of the people who are loyally supporting them. There would be no news if a candidate had no support.
turbotsat
If it's OK for Iran, it's ok for the USA.
Wc626
And I've been convinced for a long time that if Jimmy Carter properly handled the iran-US hostage crisis, there would be no hard feelings on US-Iran relations today. Basically, those radical students made an example of a weak (D)US President for the whole world to see.
bass4funk
Surpassing the Democrats?! I don't believe that for a second!
Worse than we already have had for the last 7 years???
As Obama has been governing, please continue...
So, if the GOP hate Obama because he's Black, they love Carson because he's conservative? Dude, you are confusing me!
But how is that different from liberals hating Whites or Christians and capitalism? I don't get it.
Maybe that's why he's leading in the polls, because he's so out of touch. Good one.
Hmmm...forcing refugees on the country where the majority of Americans feel unsafe and uneasy, keeping our borders open to allow anyone to get in, passing a healthcare system that more than half of the country didn't want, especially an overhaul of the entire system, Democrats unwilling to listen to their constituents. Not only is that Anti-American, it's sealing the final nails on the coffins of the DNC. Personally, I hope they keep going the route they are and doing whatever they want and go against the public wishes on everything, makes it easier for the GOP to win. Knock yourselves out guys!
How about a megalomanic and overbearing, egotistical, narcissist scumbag like Obama, can you see....oh, yeah, you can.
Also, please remind your fellow libs about that too. Don't single me out and don't be a partisan. Just a reminder.
Gee, where do I start?
You mean, where so many baby boomers are retiring and many people took themselves out of the job market because they have simply given up on looking for employment. Because it's hard to get full time, because many companies can't pay and won't pay the high premiums on Obamacare. Yeah, that's a couple of reasons for the optics of the low rates.
Hmmm, so why are so many people still reluctant to invest in the US economy and we at a sluggish 1.2 GDP? Yeah, great economy.
You do that and I'll go on with 100 failures.
Wc626
Creating a muslim database is clearly wrong and totally un-american. For now, the gop needs to just focus on keeping away the young, islamic, healthy, bearded men (the ones shouting, "God id Great") from entering the US from eastern europe.
Douglas Macarthy

Rump the Great has again confirmed his prejudice.
Sad as it is, with what's going on over the last 14 years, it's hard not to be.
But the Democrat racists are smart when they say, "Climate change is the reason for radical Islam???"
So why is Hillary running then for the presidency?
No, that would be the current president.
You didn't hear or paid attention to what happened in France last week, huh?
No, it's the woman with the cackling laugh and the pants suits that changes like the wind and the crackpot guy that wants to give everything away for free, the unicorn, paisley loving crowd is so out of touch with reality, I feel deep pity and sadness and deep concern for their mental stability.
You just lumped Hillary and Obama all in one sentence. Kudos.
