It is unfortunate that Steele couldn't depend on the talents of such stellar fundraisers as Jack Abramoff and Tom DeLay.

Delay was just convicted by a Texas jury of money-laundering. Soon the stripes on his suit will be running horizontally.

Yabits: Agreed.

“We all recognize that there’s a steep hill here ahead of us, and the only way that we’ll be able to move forward is if we’re all together.”

Won't happen, unless the slightly more moderate GOP kow-tow to the tea-party morons, and then it's guaranteed victory for the Dems. So, internal war or ultra-right... either way, Obama wins in 2012

Priebus helped Wisconsin go from deep blue to a now fairly red state: Repub Governor, repub State Assembly, repub State Senate, new repub US Senator.

"The national Republican party, coming off huge election victories"

yabits and smith just can't seem to wrap their heads around that.

"yabits and smith just can't seem to wrap their heads around that."

Heh, I seem to remember a lot of you hardcore repubs bemoaning President Obamam as the worst presdient ever shortly after his inauguration. Heh, well except pasqui who was saying it before amazingly enough.

Cab you imagine how ridiculous that is to those of us nor radicalized by screaming US politics? At least no one on the left is, as yet at least, whining the at the Repubs for not fixing the economy yet.

If the Conservatives can't credibly stop the ship from sinking as it has been since the tail-end of the Bush years, 2012 is going to be armageddon for the party. We're talking "Lemming Day - the Apocalypse".

So Steele is to become the leader of the Tea Party now -unbelieveable, but he did help to get most of them in.

Where did you get that?

Yeah that's why you guys have no credibility. From day one you guys were openely actually hoping for Obama to fail. Pure partisan foolishness never really seen before.

Not since Nixon, anyway. Or Reagan. Or Bush 43. And unfortunately, Obama has succeeded in getting some of his policies passed, which has (as predicted by the right) only made things worse for the country.

Like it or not he was elected by a majority of Americans, and should be allowed to carry out at least the four year mandate he's already got with out the childish wailing from the disgruntled extreme right.

Mandate? How come every time a Democrat is elected, he has a "mandate"? Even Clinton, although he never got more than 46% of the vote, was considered to have a "mandate".

In any case, you do realize that we had elections in the house and senate this past November, right? You did see the American people reject Obama's "mandate" and over turn the house and remove the Democrats' super-majority in the senate in order to stop Obama's "mandate", right?

Why on earth does the term mandate freak you out? Heh, surely Obama has a mandate...Bush, Bill, old Bush..it's a non-partisan Reality given or Re-given 4 yearly by Americans that go out and cast a ballot.

I accept the results of the last elections, but it's fair to critisize the impatience of the voters, much like you full-on conservatives, along with the worsening hysteria of the Reality show known as an election in the States.

Black was fashionable but it didn't wash (white-wash, that is). The "conservative" white supremacists are "taking back" the country, or at least the "power". As usual, I think, the Dems are not as hungry as they need to be, and the cheating, sneaking, hate tactics are back at work making the Republicans "look good". Long live the legacy of Tricky Dicky and Ronald "the actor" Regan. Good luck folks!, as long as you let the foxes run the hen-house.

I didn't start saying it until the oil spill in the gulf, and the Presidents completely incompetent, and inept handling of that crisis. You remember, when he made Carter look Presidential again.

And they won't be until after 2012. You know, when Republicans control both the congress and the White House.

I see that racism is alive in well in Dem politics still.

If you say so, thought you imagine I have a hard time believing that after some of your outbursts. Though it was only mister "soldaritea" that was amazingly calling Obama the worst preseident ever before his innaguration! There, I have to tilt the brim in honour of novel stupidity.

I've kept your quote for 2012 on ice there. I think you're going to be in for a nasty surprise, and four more years of the dude that speaks well on TV.

We'll see, obviously I could be wrong, you could be right, and of course the horse could learn to sing...
