Let's see: Stock market booming, employment growth strongest since the early '90s, uninsured rates at historic lows, no ground troops anywhere, progress being made on the environment - yes, all of this is terrible! If only we had a Republican in office to reverse all of these!

27 ( +36 / -9 )

Jesus!! These republicans are absolute DOLTS!!! How can americans be so STUPID!!! Obama has done fantastic, especially with the repubs fighting on almost everything & showing almost no intelligence at all, just opposite of Obama.

America clearly still has serious issues with black people, what has been going on reminds of how white south Africans would be thinking back during apartheid!!!

The shear lunacy of a lot of republicans is awful to witness, some scary stuff here!!!

16 ( +23 / -8 )

It's because they're busy watching the fear-mongering on Faux News and eating it up as gospel so long as it takes away from their own treason and otherwise general lunacy and idiocy.

19 ( +27 / -8 )

The differences between Republican and Democrat numbers are not nearly far enough apart. It seems to me that there are more intelligent people in the Democrat party, but not nearly enough.

The number of Democrats who see Obama as a threat is not even accounted for. I would like to know what it was.

But I don't know why Putin would be the bigger threat. He is half a world away and focused on local events in Eurasia. Obama is actually in America and wields the power of president.

-3 ( +4 / -7 )

This kind of nonsense can be partly blamed on idiotic, polarizing TV watched and swallowed whole by balloon heads. Both sides are guilty of this to some degree. Fox usually and deservedly gets ridiculed but the likes of msnbc aren't much better.

4 ( +7 / -3 )

That's nice, but... what happened to the "story" about the popularity of TV drama politician characters?

-2 ( +0 / -2 )

A third of Republicans believe President Barack Obama poses an imminent threat to the United States, outranking concerns about Russian President Vladimir Putin and Syrian President Bashar al-Assad.

Nutters one and all. Absolutely bonkers.

6 ( +7 / -1 )

Let's see: Stock market booming,

Not for corporate investors.

employment growth strongest since the early '90s,

Food stamps are also up by 47% for the last 37 months as well as Jobless claims are also the highest over the last 9 months.

http://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2015-03-05/jobless-claims-in-u-s-increased-7-000-last-week-to-320-000

Which brings us back to those investors....

uninsured rates at historic lows,

Because NO one has the money to buy anything and NOT putting money means stagnation and virtually NO growth.

no ground troops anywhere,

We know, have you seen the ME? Oh and how about the Saudis now NOT trusting us to back them? Our biggest allies in the ME, The Saudis, the Egyptians and the Israelis are all giving us the finger, but we are trying to cozy up to a country with which we have had NO diplomatic relations with for the last 36 years and his majesty is doing everything to make a deal with the largest sponsor of terrorism and he puts more value on that than our allies??? This guy is sick.

progress being made on the environment

That's the MOST and ONLY important thing for liberals. I guess all is well here.

yes, all of this is terrible! If only we had a Republican in office to reverse all of these!

Be careful what you wish for, you guys don't have good luck in that department.

Jesus!! These republicans are absolute DOLTS!!! How can americans be so STUPID!!! Obama has done fantastic, especially with the repubs fighting on almost everything & showing almost no intelligence at all, just opposite of Obama.

If they are THAT stupid, the Dems would control congress-PERIOD! They don't. They had their chance and they blew it, the American people DID give them a chance, about 6 years and what? Nothing. As for the fighting, seems like the Dems are doing a fantastic bang up job on that as well. Hilary is NOT the greatest choice for the Anti-Wall St. Far-left Progressive crowd and now with her NOT wanting to hand over her servers and sticking to her (lies) stories. More pressure is coming down on Liz Warren to jump into the race, which I sincerely hope.

America clearly still has serious issues with black people, what has been going on reminds of how white south Africans would be thinking back during apartheid!!!

If the left wouldn't make it an issue and throw it around like confetti it wouldn't be, but Race, War and Bush are the ONLY things libs can gripe about and nothing else.

The shear lunacy of a lot of republicans is awful to witness, some scary stuff here!!!

I won't even go on a diatribe of the insanity acts Dems have wrought on the country over the last 6 years.

It's because they're busy watching the fear-mongering on Faux News and eating it up as gospel so long as it takes away from their own treason and otherwise general lunacy and idiocy.

94 million Americans watching FOX and another 22 million overseas. I guess a lot of people are eating up the gospel, but the few sane libs know better, right?

-17 ( +8 / -25 )

the insanity acts Dems have wrought on the country over the last 6 years.

Like expanding the number of people who have health insurance by at least 10 million. Insanity!

Like expanding health care coverage for 4 million more children by increasing taxes on tobacco products. Insanity!

Like rescuing the economy from meltdown and putting it on a firmer footing than when Obama took office. Insanity!

Like passing legislation to crack down on financial institutions that sell abusive lending products. Insanity!

To be quite honest, Obama has disappointed me in some ways. Among other things, I think he could have been clearer in articulating his foreign policies, he didn't close Guantanamo, and he should have been firmer about raising taxes on the top earners (most of whom are still paying record low rates).

That said, I think Obama has been an overall good president. That anyone, let alone a third of Republicans, see this man as a threat is absolutely ridiculous. What has happened to America?

4 ( +10 / -6 )

'94 million Americans watching FOX and another 22 million overseas. I guess a lot of people are eating up the gospel, but the few sane libs know better, right?'

There are people on both sides lapping up truly idiotic, polarizing ranting. There are clowns who go even lower than the bar set by Fox and others by claiming Obama is a Kenyan-born Communist Muslim or Bush had prior knowledge of 9/11. As somene who claims to be a journalist, you must agree that the standard of TV news in the States with brainless mud-slinging from both sides is sliding ever further down the crapper.

4 ( +5 / -1 )

Neither Putin nor Assad is a direct threat to the uS. So that part is right. I think that Obanma has dione whatever damage he is going to by now (if that is your view). soon he will be making obscene amounts of money on the rubber chicken circuit. and we will have another clown in the White House. If anyone thinks Hil;ary or a Shrub or any other of the currently namd contenders will be better, I am sceptical.

5 ( +6 / -1 )

Like expanding the number of people who have health insurance by at least 10 million. Insanity!

58% of Americans are dissatisfied with Obamacare.

Like expanding health care coverage for 4 million more children by increasing taxes on tobacco products. Insanity!

I'll throw you one on that one.

Like rescuing the economy from meltdown and putting it on a firmer footing than when Obama took office. Insanity!

Both parties were responsible for the meltdown.

he didn't close Guantanamo, and he should have been firmer about raising taxes on the top earners (most of whom are still paying record low rates).

Guantanamo would have never been closed under any president. As for taxes and record rates, doesn't matter either way. We can pay it. Problem is, how much more do we need to pay in taxes? How much is enoug for this president, how is it that 11million people are allowed to get a free ride?

That said, I think Obama has been an overall good president.

How so?

That anyone, let alone a third of Republicans, see this man as a threat is absolutely ridiculous. What has happened to America?

And that's why we are in this mess, great point because libs CAN'T see how this country is falling apart and then they were just shocked to the core that they lost the House and Senate. If they would come out of their tree hugging bubble, Libs would actually see how destructive this guys policies really are.

Actually, besides MSNBC, I think most European news is worse. But I do love BBC documentaries!

'Actually, besides MSNBC, I think most European news is worse. But I do love BBC documentaries!'

I didn't know you were fluent enough in so many European languages to make that kind of judgement. You do know that Europeans have languages other than English, French and German, right?

4 ( +6 / -2 )

I'm scared by almost every politician in the USA - democrat or republican. They have an equal share of idiots at 99%. In my industry, jobs are still an issue - most companies want to allow h1-b Visas to lower the pay when there are hundreds of thousands of qualified people unemployed still already here. I'm under a non-compete clause that shouldn't be allowed (but has been upheld by state courts here) - to get a job, I have to move to a different state.

ObamaCare - my monthly health insurance costs doubled in January. Of course, I think President Obama sucks. He's costing my family over $1500 more per year! That's real money, his mandatory healthcare act forces people like me to spend and my coverage is less than it was. Hardly "progress." He isn't just a threat, he is already attacking my monthly budget. Can't take another one of his taxes.

We can blame both parties for the rogue NSA, rogue FBI, rogue IRS, rogue EPA, rogue DoEd, rogue DoJ, and rogue FTC. There are examples of each of these departments doing crazy things to Americans in their own states and cities.

President Putin is half a world away and attacking my next door neighbors family in Ukraine. I'm not worried he will fire any nukes this way or invade the USA anytime soon.

I don't care that he's black or purple or red or yellow or white or ....

LOl -- exactly what the article is talking about -- simply ideological demonizing Obama with a bunch of second-grade insults (because that is generally the intellectual level of the folks watching and listening to this crap). Thank's bass, you simply could not help yourself.

And, by the way, you should learn the difference between ratings, and number of households it has coverage in. FOX has coverage in about 96 million households, but only attracts about 2.0 to 2.5 million viewers on an average night.

4 ( +5 / -1 )

I didn't know you were fluent enough in so many European languages to make that kind of judgement. You do know that Europeans have languages other than English, French and German, right?

You really don't know anything about me or even how many languages I speak or communicate in. Let's just say, I have to read a lot for my job and in multiple languages and I'm not at all impressed, but if you are, who am I to argue with?

Obamacare - my monthly health insurance costs doubled in January. Of course, I think President Obama sucks. He's costing my family over $1500 more per year! Just calling out the truth, but it's not just my opinion, a lot of DEMS feel the same, so my question to you is, since his majesty walks on water for you guys, what has Obama ever done wrong in the last 6 years?

And, by the way, you should learn the difference between ratings, and number of households it has coverage in. FOX has coverage in about 96 million households, but only attracts about 2.0 to 2.5 million viewers on an average night.

Oh, I know the difference, but if take into consideration that we are now a mobile society, sports bars, hotels etc. overseas households the numbers go up. Television is a numbers game.

'To be quite honest, Obama has disappointed me in some ways. Among other things, I think he could have been clearer in articulating his foreign policies, he didn't close Guantanamo, and he should have been firmer about raising taxes on the top earners (most of whom are still paying record low rates).'

The right don't like to talk about the rich paying historically low rates. They dislike historical facts or perspective and start showering us with red herrings about inflation and fuel costs and it doesn't fit with their narrative about Obama being a socialist. Overall, I honestly see Obama as pretty much a continuation of a trend of leaders who either encourage or do nothing about new wealth being siphoned off by the rich leaving the rest to stagnate. This again is something lost in the idiotic rightist tirades against the Kenyan socialist.

6 ( +6 / -0 )

It is not only Obama, it is any future US presidents who are just puppets to the CFR and the rulers behind the scenes who want to impose the NWO.

-2 ( +1 / -3 )

The right don't like to talk about the rich paying historically low rates.

That's not it and was never the issue for the affluent, the was how much is enough and how much more do the libs want the affluent to pay?

They dislike historical facts or perspective and start showering us with red herrings about inflation and fuel costs and it doesn't fit with their narrative about Obama being a socialist.

If you put it in those terms, then both sides are equal in distorting facts as if the economy and America is rolling on just fine. Both sides play this senseless game.

Overall, I honestly see Obama as pretty much a continuation of a trend of leaders who either encourage or do nothing about new wealth being siphoned off by the rich leaving the rest to stagnate. This again is something lost in the idiotic rightist tirades against the Kenyan socialist.

What is it with you guys when it comes to race and politics? Why we can't just disagree with his horrible policies, color has nothing to do with it. Didn't had anything to do with Carter or were people racist towards him because he was White?

-10 ( +2 / -12 )

Obama is a threat to only anti-gay, war mongering, anti-Muslim, religious zealots who want to oppress women and the minority.

4 ( +6 / -2 )

@Bass I notice you didn't even try to refute the idea of all new wealth being gobbled up by those at the top. You are constantly bemoaning the fact that those outside the top earners are being squeezed and still persist in calling Obama a socialist. It's a farcical argument. You and your fellow rightists refuse to engage with historical perspectives and start throwing nonsense like inflation or fuel prices around when confronted with the simple truth that under Obama, Bush, Clinton, Bush and the architect of rocketing inequality and stagnation for the majority, Reagan, have presided over true wealth redistribution - from the majority to the minority. The rich would have paid much more in tax under those well-known commies Nixon and Ford. Obama is truly majestic for the rich in comparison.

'If you put it in those terms, then both sides are equal in distorting facts as if the economy and America is rolling on just fine. Both sides play this senseless game.'

That's the point. The economy isn't rolling along just fine unless you happen to be a top earner. Again, drop the socialist president nonsense.

By the way, my 'Kenyan socialist' description was referring to the shockingly high number of people in the US who believe Obama is not a US citizen and/or a socialist. Idiotic beliefs with no grounding whatsoever in fact.

7 ( +9 / -2 )

At any rate, it's only 500 and something days until the next Democrat is inaugurated president.

1 ( +3 / -2 )

Wow. The divide is getting worse. Can a house divided against itself stand? Thank god a US President cannot stay more than 8. What do these other lesser of evils have in store for 2016?

0 ( +3 / -3 )

I notice you didn't even try to refute the idea of all new wealth being gobbled up by those at the top. You are constantly bemoaning the fact that those outside the top earners are being squeezed and still persist in calling Obama a socialist.

Which he is. I never wavered from that accusation.

So you are basically saying, you desire equality and through that, it means we should embrace income redistribution. Since Obama hasn't created high paying jobs, it would make sense to rob Paul to give to Peter, give them fishes and don't worry about teaching them how to fish. Gotcha!

The rich would have paid much more in tax under those well-known commies Nixon and Ford. Obama is truly majestic for the rich in comparison.

Then, but under today's inflation, obama is still the master of financial thievery.

Who cares, many believe that Cruz is a Canadian, all sides are idiots believing that junk!

At any rate, it's only 500 and something days until the next Democrat is inaugurated president.

Keep dreaming buddy, I remember when you ranted to the roof tops the end of the GOP a few years back and guess what? ROFL! At this point, Hilary is NOT a shoe in. Remember the old saying, keep playing with those matches and you'll get burned.

"A third of Republicans believe President Barack Obama poses an imminent threat to the United States" -article

More than a third of Republicans are wrong more than 60% of the time.

So if one in three is wrong six out of ten times, what difference would it make if these few rabid racists are mouthing the prejudice of their most extreme views?

Ignorance is not poorly represented among the GOP-Tea. In fact many in the GOP-Tea have demanded schools should be closed and colleges limited to teaching the religious view of evolution and stem cells. Those GOP-Tea folks, a glowing ignorance ignited by a short attention span and modest book learn'in.

5 ( +5 / -0 )

Republicans, also known as "DO-NOTHINGS"

6 ( +8 / -2 )

Yep. And a strong majority of Republicans want to establish Christianity as the national religion.

These are bad people, folks.

2 ( +3 / -1 )

The Republicans have scared the goobers with endless lies about Obama. It is starting to work, just like it did for the others, Hitler, the Czars, the War Lords, all the political extremists who gain power by violence and division.

3 ( +5 / -2 )

I prefer Chritianity over Islam any day Black Sabbath!

Both parties are full of greedy hypocrites though I will say the nation cannot afford another Democrat financially.

Those relying on Hillary need a plan "B". She certainly has a tainted past. A good debate with her will sink the parties efforts. Decades of scandal and continue to this day can't say much for a leader.

Jimizo: The right don't like to talk about the rich paying historically low rates.

bass: That's not it and was never the issue for the affluent, the was how much is enough and how much more do the libs want the affluent to pay?

OK, so the whole "I'm paying historically low taxes" doesn't seem to be working its way into bass' brain so this point might be a lost cause. Time to move on?

2 ( +4 / -2 )

The article is clearly one of the left wing propaganda pieces to make it seem as if not liking Obama is seen as ridiculous.

Consider the threats. Neither Putin nor Assad will be attacking the USA. Assad has No means and clearly a desire to rule Syria with an iron fist But otherwise stay out of the US. Putin technically has the means But he has proven Very adept at beating western politicians at their own ridiculous diplomatic and political games. Putin knows the USA would wipe him out if directly provoked, so he won't provoke the USA.

In other words Putin and Assad are not threats against the Well being of US citizens.

Obama on the other hand, was part of the Democrat controlled Congress in 2007 and 08, they killed a perfectly good economy and then he becomes president and created the great recession. He removed troops early allowing the rise of Isis and Iran, both direct threats and seems to back or stay out of the way of groups like Muslim brother hoods.

Obama imposed a totally failed healthcare system, Though a win for government as they can now scam even more from healthcare money than before.

And 6 years later the country has just barely gotten back to where it was when Obama started, despite Obama's clear attempts to wipe out the American economy.

So with a record of failure and the economic nightmare Obama caused as Well as facilitating threats like Iran, is anyone really surprised some think Obama is more of a threat to America, than Putin?

The Marxist left wing Democrats really need to wake up from their Utopian fantasy and look at the nightmare they caused everyone By putting an incompetent community organizer in office. Suggest next election, try backing someone who might actually be useful.

-8 ( +2 / -10 )

'Obama on the other hand, was part of the Democrat controlled Congress in 2007 and 08, they killed a perfectly good economy and then he becomes president and created the great recession.'

Even Bass couldn't back you up on that one. Delirium which even Fox couldn't rival.

bass -- you really are funny, just like the talking heads you take so seriously and eat up every word they utter as if it was gospel truth. But this comment certainly takes the cake. You are sputtering nonsense just to avoid admitting you either don't know what you are talking about, or just chose to try to deliberately deceive the folks here. Even if you take into account your so-called "mobile society" effect, the viewers for FOX news on an average night would not even reach 1/20th of your 96 million figure. But, please, as usual, prove me wrong with facts, not just your memorized opinions.

"A third of Republicans believe President Barack Obama poses an imminent threat to the United States" -article

He does, he has and guess what, he ain't done yet!

More than a third of Republicans are wrong more than 60% of the time.

So that's why the Congress is Republican, that's why 57% of people hate Obamacare, that's why Obama referred to ISIS a JV team, tried to legalize 5 million illegal aliens, only to courts intervene and stop his reigning madness?! Yeah, I think you meant that libs are about 80% wrong most of the time.

So if one in three is wrong six out of ten times, what difference would it make if these few rabid racists are mouthing the prejudice of their most extreme views?

Hmmm, I am trying to think when the last time race was mentioned by the GOP and darn, can't seem to recall, now on the other hand, the millions of times libs used the race card is just uncountable.

Ignorance is not poorly represented among the GOP-Tea. In fact many in the GOP-Tea have demanded schools should be closed and colleges limited to teaching the religious view of evolution and stem cells.

But it's ok to force feed and push liberal ideology on kids, even if they reject it. I thought we lived in a democracy or does that depend on how liberals define what liberalism is?

Those GOP-Tea folks, a glowing ignorance ignited by a short attention span and modest book learn'in.

Please tell that to Barack and Hilary.

Republicans, also known as "DO-NOTHINGS"

And Democrats are known "SCREW UP EVERYTHING."

110% correct.

In all reality, both US parties are terrible. The people really need to rise up and vote for people that are not in the back pocket of a lobbyist, or one of the many big corporations that get rich....

Oh, there isn't anyone. Pity. I think we as Americans have lost our way.

SuperLib: OK, so the whole "I'm paying historically low taxes" doesn't seem to be working its way into bass' brain so this point might be a lost cause. Time to move on?

bass: Sup, you try so very, very hard.

OK, so which part was wrong? You aren't making a killing? Is the historical tax data incorrect?

So what are you doing nowadays, anyway? Last I checked you were the owner of a media empire that put you in the top 1% despite having sub par grammar and a severe handicap with following topics. You were doing fine in the US, but then Obamacare came and shut down your operations and forced you to move overseas. I remember that because I kept asking you if you had over 50 employees and you didn't really get why I was asking that because obviously you didn't understand how the law works despite it putting you out of business.

One thing I've never doubted was your tenacity, tho. Despite running your media company (which may or may not have had 50 employees), you've found the time to spend an hour a day or so here.

Personally, I think you're a regular middle class guy who is getting squeezed like everyone else is. The GOP sells middle and lower class people on the promise of becoming rich, and some people take it. Obviously a vast majority never reach that level and instead work their lives giving back wealth via low wages, but the GOP is happy to create drones for that. People like you are left blaming Democrats for getting in the way of certain riches that you'd no doubt have.

4 ( +5 / -1 )

Where's the big surprise?

A party that romances the prejudiced racism of their cohort is willing to think the black president is evil?

Wow! Who could guess that core belief in racial inferiority would show up in a poll?

Maybe a third of the GOP-Tea hating their President is an undercount?

The majority of Republicans can't find Russia or Syria on a map.

How about trying to use a fair and center analysis of that supposed claim instead of using a FAR LEFT bias site. Come on, dude....Lol

In all reality, both US parties are terrible. The people really need to rise up and vote for people that are not in the back pocket of a lobbyist, or one of the many big corporations that get rich.... Oh, there isn't anyone. Pity. I think we as Americans have lost our way.

Yup, my thoughts exactly!

So what are you doing nowadays, anyway? Last I checked you were the owner of a media empire that put you in the top 1% despite having sub par grammar and a severe handicap with following topics.

Sup, how many times we have to go through this? I already told and I'm not going through that anymore, so moving on...

Personally, I think you're a regular middle class guy who is getting squeezed like everyone else is.

Buddy, you can think whatever you want about me, seriously. Whether you think I am poor or middle class or rich, you have a mind and you can imagine or paint whatever picture you like. You can be a creator or a destroyer, it is your mind and your thoughts and I have NO rights or control of your thought process. As for the reality, I am not a middle class guy and definitely not poor. Those are the facts, I have no reason to lie and if you don't believe me, I really could care less because you don't live with me or know me.

Lol, so what good have the Dems done for America the last 6 years? How come wages are declining, why are food stamps up with this president? Why is unemployment up? Why are Blacks and Hispanics suffering more under Obama? Why are jobless claims up the highest in the last 9 months, why 57% of people in the US are not happy with Obamacare? The party that claims they do good have wrought so much damage, it will be and take a miracle to get out of this abyss. Yes, the Democratic party, the party of government dependence and the party that will give you fishes to eat for the rest of your life.

A party that romances the prejudiced racism of their cohort is willing to think the black president is evil?

No one thinks that. but they do hate his radical policies. Question, can you not disagree with a president because of his policies or adding the color factor gives you guys a more legit leg to stand on?

Wow! Who could guess that core belief in racial inferiority would show up in a poll?

Did you feel that way when the Black Panthers were forcing and intimidating Whites to vote for Obama.

Maybe a third of the GOP-Tea hating their President is an undercount?

I think you keep confusing the Democratic party with racism, that is their mantel and narrative.

Check out the % of Repblican primary voters who are birthers or "not sure" if Obama is actually a citizen.

With Obama, how do you really know what is the truth, personally, I believe he's American, but that's where it ends for me.

As usual, facts take a back seat to your personal belief. How generous of you to 'believe' he's American while at the same time suggesting that he may be lying about that.

It doesn't matter that tax rates for "not a middle class guy and definitely not poor" guy like yourself (and practically everybody else in the nation) are at historic lows; Obama is a socialist. No way you're going to let facts stand in the way of that belief.

7 ( +7 / -0 )

As usual, facts take a back seat to your personal belief.

Sorry to disappoint you, but I've always been consistent when it comes to where Obama is born. I never doubted that where he was born and I always thought the Republicans were doing a disservice believing that crap listening to that idiot Donald Trump, but as for the rest of the allegations, I don't have the slightest clue. Those are the facts.

How generous of you to 'believe' he's American while at the same time suggesting that he may be lying about that.

Not about being American, please read carefully what I was saying.

Obama is a socialist. No way you're going to let facts stand in the way of that belief.

Yup. Definitely an income redistributionist.

And that's led to greater wealth inequality? How does that work?

It works because it blames Obama on all levels, thereby covering every base.

7 ( +7 / -0 )

Well if the GOP can convince their base that global warming is fake then it really should come as no surprise that they also make up stuff about wealth redistribution. i think they need that because they don't want to talk about how nothing is trickling down in line with their made up economic theories.

The only thing trickling down is their melted brains into the shower drains every morning. These people are absolutely loony tunes.

Its not that all Republicans are racist. Its just that if you are a racist, that's the party for you.

A third of Republicans believe President Barack Obama poses an imminent threat to the United States, outranking concerns about Russian President Vladimir Putin and Syrian President Bashar al-Assad. ... The poll showed 34 percent of Republicans ranked Obama as an imminent threat, ahead of Putin (25 percent), who has been accused of aggression in the Ukraine, and Assad (23 percent). Western governments have alleged that Assad used chlorine gas and barrel bombs on his own citizens.

So Republicans are being accused of the crime of 'geographical accuracy'?

What imminent danger do actions in Ukraine and Syria pose to the USA?

A party that romances the racism of their cohort is willing to reveal their racism in anonymous polls.

This was unclear.

The GOP-Tea survey group had every expectation of anonymity. The result is a near mirror like perfection of the image of a statistical third of the GOP-Tea. Probably an undercount. While many crow how right they are, seen from another perspective, this poll shows how racist they are.

Character is often revealed in the actions an individual takes believing themselves unobserved.

The political poll has a similar advantage for judging character. People answer what they truly feel because they fear no repercussions. A third of the GOP-Tea, then happily admits to racism. The GOP-Tea claims they are misunderstood but have created their own profile is this widely published data.

Americans hate each other more and more every year. That trend actually accelerated under Obama. In the opinion of millions of Americans Obama has damaged America. No one is allowed to disagree with him without being slandered as traitorous and racist. Dissent is only patriotic if you are a Liberal. There is a feeling that the government is seeking to regulate every facet of life. Obama is much more of a threat to the day to day lives of Americans than the distant leader of the former USSR. Given that Obama takes after Putin's lack of interest in democratic institutions it's not hard to confuse one for the other.

Kicked off with the birthers, right?

Well if the GOP can convince their base that global warming is fake then it really should come as no surprise that they also make up stuff about wealth redistribution.

It's not that many in the GOP don't believe in global warming, but we have been over this time and time again, for libs, global warming is the main and pretty much only thing in life that matters and that's ok, but for most Americans, there are also other pressing issues like jobs, putting food on the table etc. When everyone is working, when the economy is through the roof and when minorities are working and we have high paying jobs and that wheel is working smoothly, we can talk about global warming at that point.

i think they need that because they don't want to talk about how nothing is trickling down in line with their made up economic theories.

Well, since your president was derelict in creating high paying jobs, what do you expect? Come on now...

A party that romances the racism of their cohort is willing to reveal their racism in anonymous polls.

Libs practically invented the word racism.

The GOP-Tea survey group had every expectation of anonymity. The result is a near mirror like perfection of the image of a statistical third of the GOP-Tea. Probably an undercount. While many crow how right they are, seen from another perspective, this poll shows how racist they are.

If you go back over the last 6 years and checked which party used the word Racism and accused anyone of being RACIST, it's the party with a capital "D"

The political poll has a similar advantage for judging character. People answer what they truly feel because they fear no repercussions.

And that goes on both sides of the aisle. I have seen in my life more intolerant and racists libs than anything else and else makes it funnier is that, if you call these people out, they really get super nasty more belligerent. That's tolerance????

A third of the GOP-Tea, then happily admits to racism.

So where is your backed up proof of this accusation? prove it!

The GOP-Tea claims they are misunderstood but have created their own profile is this widely published data.

Not misunderstood, more like, certain people have a one-sided resistant intolerant myopic view and are unwilling to change altering that pigeonhole POV, that in itself is racism.

Black Sabbath - 01:01AM JST "'projection.' The truth is conservatives hate America more with every passing year."

This may account for the willingness to 'self report' their racist agenda. "A third of Republicans believe President Barack Obama poses an imminent threat to the United States" As the article suggests, the GOP-Tea is freely announcing a wide racial bias encompassing one in three of their cult.

As far as 'imminent threat to the United States' is concerned, what is the imminent? Integration of intelligence and public policy? Tolerance and 'judge not lest ye be judged'? What is the great future the GOP-Tea longs for? One less black guy in the White House? How bloody racist is that?

The imminent threat is a fixed stare and a finger on the trigger that destroys the Laws that Protect Freedom AND Tolerance in a Land of Liberty and Justice, for All.

The GOP-Tea sees the President of the United States as an imminent threat? That's the dialogue of the paranoid imbecile. The GOP-Tea has enough of those to make a third of their statistical profile. And their angry they look like racists? Please. Look in the mirror.

4 ( +4 / -0 )

A Reuters/Ipsos online poll this month asked 2,809 Americans to rate how much of a threat a list of countries, organizations and individuals posed to the United States on a scale of 1 to 5, with one being no threat and 5 being an imminent threat.

So 1 of out 3 Republicans gave Obama a full 5 threat rating...heh. Let's be honest, though, the pollsters probably knew what they were doing before conducting the poll.

I think the GOP has hung their hat on bombastic criticism of Obama as a way to mask the internal struggles in their party. Instead of proposing anything they can sit back and criticize what Obama has proposed. It's helped to buy the party time with mock leadership instead of a solid foundation in policy/proposals, and it's pushed so hard because it's usually the only thing the party can agree on.

Obama is also the lightening rod for right-wing angst about the changing demographics. I think any left-leaning moderate would have given them a shock, and being half-black with a foreign sounding name didn't help. And everything starts off with "The socialist Muslim who hates America has proposed __." Some members of the GOP are even killing legislation and nominations that have bipartisan support because the fight is about who the President is not and what he's proposing. That's irresponsible for people in leadership positions to do.

It's most likely going to get worse as long as Republicans keep going after a smaller and smaller percentage of the voting population, especially with Republican factions tearing into each other at the same time.

4 ( +4 / -0 )

But there are problems with this analysis, too. For one thing, Obama was comfortably re-elected on a liberal platform in 2012, and demographic trends do indicate that America is becoming a more progressive place, from abortion rights and gay marriage to immigration and a non-interventionist foreign policy. Moreover, some of the right-wing criticism of Obama is unfair, because it fails to put his presidency in the context of his predecessor, George W. Bush. Bush's reputation is tainted by two costly wars, big spending policies, and the housing and mortgage crisis, which led to soaring debt, budget deficit, and the financial crisis.

The backlash against both sides of politics has less to do with ideological overreach by either Obama or his conservative opponents and more to do with America’s spiritual doldrums, a cultural crisis that stems from expectations about America’s future that no president or congress can meet.

2 ( +2 / -0 )

He's your President if you're really a true American. This would only apply if the President was elected illegally.......and we found out about it.

Yes, I am a true American and No, he's not my president. He is the president of the US, but not mine. I never voted for him or supported ANY of his radical policies.

I think you've been drinking. THOSE EMOTIONAL ATTACKS WOULD BE BETTER UTILIZED IN A SONG, RATHER THAN A 2 AM POST.

Could be. Maybe it would catch on and we can create a movement for people to wake up and never vote for idiots like that again.

Pretty sure we can thank Fox and folks like you and liberal-this and liberal-that Bass for the polarization we have today. Bravo.

When people talk like that it reveals that 1) Fox is doing its job at not following the entire liberal media, Obama huggers off the cliff. 2) it annoys the heck out of liberals because they can't do anything about it, absolutely nothing. 3) Thank God for Fox for shining a light on the polarization of the liberal one-sided media. I know libs want to go back to the days of CNN crossfire where you had one conservative Bob Novak coming on once a week taking on a barrage of libs. Where the playing field was 100 to 1. Those days, thankfully are OVER!

Quite possibly, millions of Americans believe that Republicans have damaged America.

Actually, they don't believe that since for the last 6 years, Dems have been in the drivers seat and everything bad that's been happening is a result of Obama and his minions screwing everything up. That's why they lost the entire congress. 100% their fault.

Millions of Americans believe that Fox news caters to imbeciles.

But 93 million think otherwise, so it's not that important really. If that many though like that, Fox wouldn't be where it is now, it'd be more like my old network in a distant 3rd.

Most Americans believe the Iraq war was a failure. Millions of Americans feel that Obama is doing better job than Bush did.

To be honest, many Americans think Iraq was a mistake, but also many Americans disapprove of how Obama is handling the country, let alone the ME and what he is doing with Iran.

http://www.rasmussenreports.com/public_content/politics/obama_administration/daily_presidential_tracking_poll

That's just plain utter nonsense... and funny things, sounds just like the Bush era.

It's true and it's a fact. You disagree with Obama, point out any fallacies and you get marginalized, because Obama is perfect and far from being flawed.

Only for the tin foil hat brigade. There's no contest as to who actually poses any kind of threat, it ain't the guy our homegrown nitwits harbor a pathological hatred for, it's the current leader of revanchist nuclear power. You know the fellow whose soul Bush could devine...

That's the sad thing, libs are so blinded by their amazement and drooling over Obama they can't see the chaos that is engulfing the the country. Where we have a complete and broken government with libs thinking they can do virtually anything they want and break any law they want. From Obama to Hilary. But thank God we only have 585 days until the madness of this president comes to a gleeful end!

This may account for the willingness to 'self report' their racist agenda. "A third of Republicans believe President Barack Obama poses an imminent threat to the United States"

I believe so, yes.

As the article suggests, the GOP-Tea is freely announcing a wide racial bias encompassing one in three of their cult.

But they like "Dr. Ben Carson" who is a conservative and who is, guess what....Black. Maybe the GOP just hate Black liberals and Whites.

As far as 'imminent threat to the United States' is concerned, what is the imminent? Integration of intelligence and public policy? Tolerance and 'judge not lest ye be judged'? What is the great future the GOP-Tea longs for? One less black guy in the White House? How bloody racist is that?

We could exchange him for one conservative Black guy in the White House.

The imminent threat is a fixed stare and a finger on the trigger that destroys the Laws that Protect Freedom AND Tolerance in a Land of Liberty and Justice, for All.

You can thank the libs for completely shooting that in the foot.

The GOP-Tea sees the President of the United States as an imminent threat? That's the dialogue of the paranoid imbecile.

More like the reality that has been hitting us for the last 6 years.

The GOP-Tea has enough of those to make a third of their statistical profile. And their angry they look like racists? Please. Look in the mirror.

Well, if you want to define what true racism is. It is to keep minorities down and keep them dependent on the government and teaching them to rely on the system rather than to teach them to be independent and entrepreneurial. But Dems won't for some benign reason will not do that. They prefer to keep minorities down and sucking on the fat tit of the government. Now that is real and true RACISM!

-5 ( +2 / -7 )

Nah. That's what Freud called 'projection." The truth is conservatives hate America more with every passing year.

Please - leave the cheap psychobabel to yourself. I do not think conservatives or liberals hate America as they see it. They just have a completely separate idea of what America is. As a conservative, you can feel the seething anger that the far Left has over the fact that conservatives even exist. Heaven forbid that someone have a different opinion these days or you must lose your job and be shunned from society. Yes, American's do really hate each other. Seriously, I'm not projecting or any of that silly stuff that Liberals like to say because they think it makes them seem like they have read a book).

-8 ( +0 / -8 )

I do not think conservatives or liberals hate America as they see it. They just have a completely separate idea of what America is

That is true. And we liberals mostly got it right. Conservatives think America is exceptional because it is white and Christian, and an arsenal for democracy and free-market fundamentalism. Liberals understand America is great because it is a secular, diverse, bastion of liberal democracy (look it up) that properly balances the commercial and the communal sides of our republic.

4 ( +4 / -0 )

That is true. And we liberals mostly got it right.

Liberals got it wrong because America was never intended to be a place where the government has such a large say in ones destiny. Libertarianism is becoming more popular as a reaction to Obama's headlong rush into micromanaging the daily lives of Americans. I am not even religious but an America that placed religion in the First Amendment to it's Constitution should not be a place where it is so thoroughly driven out of the public square as it has today. Why the intolerance? Curiously it is Christians that are particularly despised. Secularism is the religion of the Left. Any dissent from it is not tolerated. And I will never understand why white Liberals have an odd self loathing and feeling of shame for their membership in in a race they feel are degenerate and unworthy of the same protections of the law as minorities.

Obama is the most divisive president in modern history (look it up). He has taken the idea of using government experts to solve all the nations ills to the extreme thereby fundamentally changing America into something it was never intended to be. Government control of private life and business always fails with terrible consequences. The greater the control the greater the consequences. $17 trillion in debt doesn't just disappear by government mandate.

Conservatives see America's greatness eroding away. The rights of individuals have been replaced by group rights. The actions and activities of individuals replaced by that of government. America is destroying itself from the inside out pitting demographic groups against one another and driving the growing hatred. The closer the country gets to the Liberal ideal, the more animosity and chaos it generates; even among even themselves. Obama isn't solely responsible for that of course. He is just the perfect poster child for American dysfunction.

-6 ( +1 / -7 )

America was never intended to be a place where the government has such a large say in ones destiny.

This is so general a statement to be meaningless. On the issue of slavery, you bet it did. So much so that it was written into the Constitution, since you forget. And don't give me any of that State's Rights crap: the State Rights loving South had no trouble at all using the power of the Federal Government to force the free soil northern states to comply with their idea of who is and who is not a free American.

That is the problem with you conservatives: you invent an America that never was, and inconsistently apply that invented America to the current affairs that you favor.

And so it goes with all your argument: no, "Secularism" is not a religion. Dissent is tolerated. All of your points are based in fantasy. Whereas mine, that the religious right really does want to make America a Christian country where I must bow to their god, is not.

The truth of the matter is that liberty and equality do conflict, despite what those who have faith in America believe, and there is no truly adequate answer to, say, one man's free expression of his religious bigotry, and our idea that people should not be discriminated against.

We on the left, and BTW the majority of self-identified conservative under the age of 30, believe that religious liberty does not extend to excluding gay people from our business. You, apparently, do.

6 ( +6 / -0 )

Base,

It's interesting that your premiums managed to double while my Platinum plan went from $1024 a month to $468, and before you talk yourself into typing up some idiot statement about subsidies, you can't get subsidies if you make over 6 figures which I do. But maybe, and I'm just throwing this out there, your plan doubled and mine didn't because you're a Republican and I'm an Independent and you just screwed yourself over, or you just didn't know what you was doing when you chose your plan. And if you think I still get a subsidy, then you clearly don't understand the ACA law.

In 2009, I made around 65K and now I make over 6 figures, along with buying a house, a Chevy Volt and Ford Focus electric and another house in the Philippines, so trying to get people to believe this President hampered people getting ahead or saying this President was bad for jobs, when Unemployment is below pre recessions level only works if you believe Fox, who's job appears to be to make stuff up and showing how ignorant they are. I more think of Fox as a comedy news station then anything else. But I'd say stop blaming Obama like some kind of taker and look inward. And I'm sure you will make an attempt at saying the job numbers are skewed and don't reflect the true unemployment, as if that wasn't the case before Obama came into office, further making your point mute. We could have done better on the job market if Republicans had passed Obama's jobs bill, clean energy bill, education bill, infrastructure bill or his bill to setup an infrastructure bank. But Republicans decided it was better to stick it to the President then help America... first making a pact on inauguration day to make him a one term President... then whining about him not working across the isle on the ACA... then the endless anonymous filibusters... then just not taking up any of his bills passed in the senate. But it's not completely their fault. I also blame Democrats and the Latino community for not showing up at the polls because they believed it was Obamas fault why things were not getting along, when if they had been paying attention would know where the true fault was.

It's refreshing that you don't consider Obama your President, because it would be a little annoying if you did. I would prefer to think of your President as being Ted Cruz or even John McCain... it suits you more. And Republicans may like "Dr. Ben Carson", but lets see just how much they like him if he announces he running for President... the finding might be surprising, but not really.

But I will agree with you that Republicans see Obama as an imminent threat, but not for the reasons you do. I believe it's because Obama is smarter and knows how to push Republican buttons so that he can work them into a frenzy causing them to make ignorant statements. And now that it's his last two years and Republicans control both chambers, it's almost child's play watching them do absolutely nothing, or backtracking on policies that totally piss off their base and just in general showing the American people why they shouldn't be in power. They have their chance now, and look what they are doing with it. I'm sure you're surprised, but I'm not. I'm just watching with popcorn in hand.

6 ( +7 / -1 )

On the issue of slavery, you bet it did. So much so that it was written into the Constitution, since you forget.

Oh no, I have not forgotten. The realization that the idea of individual liberty and small government being in conflict with the institution of slavery was well known and discussed at the time. It was a contradiction that wasn't resolved until Lincoln defeated the Democrat party led South. Thomas Jefferson owned slaves but believed, "that government is best which governs least." America's Founders created a Federal (states' rights) system of government to restrain a powerful centralized government. So I do not back down from the fact that despite the existence of the institution of slavery brought to the colonies by the British and sustained after the American Revolution by the Democrat party, America was never intended to be a place where the government has such a large say in ones destiny.

That is the problem with you conservatives: you invent an America that never was, and inconsistently apply that invented America to the current affairs that you favor.

Actually this is the problem with the political Left in America: they invent a simplified view of history contrary to the facts in order to justify their current desire to micromanage the lives of American's today. Even if you insist on clinging to this idea, which is untenable to say the least, would it not only apply to the descendants of slaves? But even that is just ridiculous and certainly illogical.

And so it goes with all your argument: no, "Secularism" is not a religion. Dissent is tolerated.

Since when? Do liberal universities tolerate dissenting speakers? Do Liberals believe that religious people have the right to free speech without being driven out of business or driven from their jobs. The Liberal orthodoxy brooks no dissent. People are no longer allowed to have opinions or even beliefs that are religiously inspired. Try to run a pizza business and simply express a politically incorrect viewpoint and the Left tries to destroy you. The odd thing is this seems to apply primarily to Christians.

All of your points are based in fantasy. Whereas mine, that the religious right really does want to make America a Christian country where I must bow to their god, is not.

No they don't. That ship has sailed. They only want to retain a place in American society free from harassment and coercion. This assertion contains no supporting arguments. That is Obama's view of America and why millions see him as a threat to their future.

The truth of the matter is that liberty and equality do conflict, despite what those who have faith in America believe, and there is no truly adequate answer to, say, one man's free expression of his religious bigotry, and our idea that people should not be discriminated against.

Pluralism requires tolerance among those disagree with one another. Liberals do not accept deviation from the orthodoxy. I do not believe that gay people should be denied public accommodation. But I do believe that it is abhorrent to force a person to participate in something they believe is against their conscience. Why no accommodation for these conflicting views? Besides, these are very rare occurrences. Exemptions are made for Muslims and native Americans in certain circumstances. Those against this for Christians are simply religious bigots and do not believe in pluralism.

We on the left, and BTW the majority of self-identified conservative under the age of 30, believe that religious liberty does not extend to excluding gay people from our business. You, apparently, do.

I personally do not believe in excluding gay people in the conduct of business - but I am not religious. However I can understand why some religious people might feel that way. From my secular standpoint, to accept that homosexuality is not a choice but is innate would mean that other sexual behaviors are also innate. Is pedophilia of any type innate? Is bestiality innate? No, I am not making a moral equivalence among these behaviors. I am however saying that from a secular standpoint if I accept homosexuality as natural than I must accept all others as natural and innate as well.

The profile of the GOP-Tea is becoming clearer and clearer. Pious and self righteous, the GOP-Tea climb to their mountain top of prejudice and proudly shriek their racial and homophobic pronouncements.

The voter best remember, the party that welcomes, shields and defends discrimination and race based prejudice isn't truly American. These are the ticks and parasites that strive to make racial prejudice and ignorance the creed and law for all Americans as they have in Indiana.

Strangely they wear these accomplishments of bigotry as their holy freedom to hate who and whatever they choose because their god and ignorance tells them to. The only imminent threat Americans face is the GOP-Tea. Who will they turn their holy fire hose on next?

How strange the American GOP-Tea. They shout their fears of the black President. They invoke special laws to sanctify discrimination as reported in Japan Today's "U.S. religious fight over gay marriage likely to persist".

American 'Dim-Progs' will not tolerate people of religious conviction who will not comply with their desire to impose their inflexible anti-religious bigotry on them. They seek to divide Americans using race as a hammer to bully them into compliance with their narrow and conformist world view. They use the law to enshrine their hallowed hatred and bigotry of people they consider uncultured and uneducated.

The profile of the GOP-Tea is becoming clearer and clearer. Pious and self righteous, the GOP-Tea climb to their mountain top of prejudice and proudly shriek their racial and homophobic pronouncements.

The modus operandi of the Dim-Pros is clear to see. Pompous and self-righteous with the zeal of the fundamentalist, the Dim-Progs have scaled the heights of hatred and bigotry and scream their religious and racial divisiveness and hatred.

The voter best remember, the party that welcomes, shields and defends discrimination and race based prejudice isn't truly American. These are the ticks and parasites that strive to make racial prejudice and ignorance the creed and law for all Americans as they have in Indiana.

When election time comes around, the party that respects people of all religions, and protects against racial bigotry by opposing race baiting and institutional racism in the form of affirmative action are the true Americans. Those others, the bigots, suck the life out of a free country by ignorantly imposing rigid conformity on a diverse nation of individuals.

Strangely they wear these accomplishments of bigotry as their holy freedom to hate who and whatever they choose because their god and ignorance tells them to. The only imminent threat Americans face is the GOP-Tea. Who will they turn their holy fire hose on next?

It is odd that a party like the Dim-Progs who profess tolerance for others would wage a Crusade of hate and bigotry because of their ideology and lust to crush people who have a different world view. They are proud of their bullying tactics and lack of respect for pluralism. Ideologies as doctrinaire and uncompromising as the Dim-Progs will inevitably begin to attack and destroy their own who are found to be insufficiently compliant to their narrow outlook.

And that's the rest of the story.

-6 ( +0 / -6 )

A very good example of the jumble in logic and motive is illustrative.

No wonder the GOP-Tea Cult has such a frightening perspective. Tumbling cascades of paranoia hardly justify the pollsters depiction of terror President Obama inspires.

It may be easier to understand if the GOP-Tea simply admit their prejudice and craft a campaign based on racial and homophobic bigotry.

Being proud of their prejudice and having the guts to install legislation to guarantee religious discrimination are the only accomplishments of the GOP-Tea.

Well, that, and self reporting in poll data their prejudice.

Maybe that's the first step every racist has to take. Admitting their failings and dealing with the world truthfully as the racist homophobes they are could be a new start for the GOP-Tea.

But, as the world has seen, these hard core unrepentant liars will parade their ignorance as an admirable goal for their children to follow. How sad. What a waste.

Of course we see Obama as a bigger threat to the U.S. than Assad or Putin, who are on the other side of the world. Obama is right at the heart of Washington, and came to power through a conspiracy of left-wingers and immigrants, and is bent on destroying America. He himself is a Muslim and a communist. He hates everything that made America great: capitalism, the military, and the family.

Another fine example of the ingrained racism of the GOP-Tea revealed in poling data.

Came to power through a conspiracy called an election. What a marvelous distortion calling elections conspiracy.

You have to give the racist degenerate their due. They spin the election as a conspiracy. That takes a lot of kool-aid.

The result? A beautiful example of how far the GOP-Tea cult will stretch reality to wrap it around their deranged conclusions. At leaste they're good for a laugh, and lying their way into war profiteering. What a nice bunch of racists.

You left out that he is a reptilian shape-shifter. And I think you're always supposed to close with, "THANKS, OBAMA!"

Did I miss anything?

He angered many Japanese, and pleased China/SK for nothing.

if you believe Fox, who's job appears to be to make stuff up and showing how ignorant they are.

liberals always say that, if they did, they wouldn't where they are, have the ratings they do and be a thorn in the the majority of the slanted one-sided liberal medias side.

I more think of Fox as a comedy news station then anything else.

If you really like comedy, I used to work for NBC, that is network is funnier than Comedy Central.

But I'd say stop blaming Obama like some kind of taker and look inward. And I'm sure you will make an attempt at saying the job numbers are skewed and don't reflect the true unemployment, as if that wasn't the case before Obama came into office, further making your point mute.

They weren't as skewed as they are now and particularly during the last election when Obama was slipping in the polls, miraculously the numbers went below 8% which is what he really needed if he wanted to keep his job and if you do the math, you can actually see how the numbers are off.

The first priority for Americans was to create jobs, high paying jobs! That never happened. Even Chuck Shumer (D-NY) admitted that.

then whining about him not working across the isle on the ACA... then the endless anonymous filibusters... then just not taking up any of his bills passed in the senate. But it's not completely their fault. I also blame Democrats and the Latino community for not showing up at the polls because they believed it was Obamas fault why things were not getting along, when if they had been paying attention would know where the true fault was.

I think they can actually see that this president is a fraud.

Also Why on Earth would the Republicans every agree to anything the Dems want, especially if they see that it could be harmful to the country? They are, after all, the opposition party and don't give me that! When the Dems were in power they did the opposite as well, now you are playing partisan politics.

I don't know a single Republican that hated Colin Powell and Condi Rice. You are blowing smoke now....

But I will agree with you that Republicans see Obama as an imminent threat, but not for the reasons you do. I believe it's because Obama is smarter and knows how to push Republican buttons so that he can work them into a frenzy causing them to make ignorant statements.

I do think he's smart, but in a benevolent and dubious way. He and Hilary are also with each day taking their party deeper into the abyss, which is fine with me, but for the party, there is angst building now over these shenanigans that Obama is hurling at the country.

I will give you the Republicans are not as ruthless as Reid or Pelosi that will go lower than a snakes belly to meet their objective and I wish the Repubs would be as ruthless. That is my only disappointment with them. Other than that, I do like that they try to put a monkey wrench into everything that Obama does and I hope they continue until he's our of office for good.

No wonder the GOP-Tea Cult has such a frightening perspective. Tumbling cascades of paranoia hardly justify the pollsters depiction of terror President Obama inspires.

They ARE afraid of Obama, but for different reasons and mainly one is how the man is destroying this country.

It may be easier to understand if the GOP-Tea simply admit their prejudice and craft a campaign based on racial and homophobic bigotry.

All of them think that? Can you back that up, please.

Being proud of their prejudice and having the guts to install legislation to guarantee religious discrimination are the only accomplishments of the GOP-Tea.

They all did? All of them? Where is your proof?

Another fine example of the ingrained racism of the GOP-Tea revealed in poling data.

But the Democrats were the ones that have used the race card more than anyone else in recent memory. Doesn't that bother you as well? Or are you implying that liberal hatred and racism is different from conservative hatred and racism?

Came to power through a conspiracy called an election. What a marvelous distortion calling elections conspiracy.

And all that hope and change did nothing for the country.

You have to give the racist degenerate their due. They spin the election as a conspiracy. That takes a lot of kool-aid.

The way the Dems did in 2000?

The result? A beautiful example of how far the GOP-Tea cult will stretch reality to wrap it around their deranged conclusions. At leaste they're good for a laugh, and lying their way into war profiteering.

That's what the public is thinking about the Democrats. that's why they lost the House and the Senate, I didn't see any Dem laughing at that.

What a nice bunch of racists.

The Democratic party, well they used color and race so much over the last 6 years and they keep wondering how the people can't support them or their radical policies.

So I do not back down from the fact that despite the existence of the institution of slavery brought to the colonies by the British and sustained after the American Revolution by the Democrat party, America was never intended to be a place where the government has such a large say in ones destiny

Well, then, it appears we have little to discuss. It is very difficult to take your arguments with anything but a huge pile of salt when you grant that federal and state government sanctioned and enforced slavery was an integral part of foundational America, then cheerfully go on to maintaining "the Founders" agreed that America was all about small government.

I will only add the crucial point: you, like all conservatives, over rely on Jefferson's stated beliefs, and ignore his actions (eg. Louisianna Purchase) as well as the fact that many other founders most certainly did argue for and govern with a strong central (federal) government. Hamilton being the foremost.

That is why we have the whole Federalist v anti-Fedarlist split from the start of our republic. In short, you are wrong, the Federalist certainly did believe in a strong central government that could control trade, push around the states, and crush tax rebellions.

You also, had state and local governments run by sectarian Christian zealots who most certainly wanted to force Christians of of other stripes to conform to their version of the true path.

That is why we have the whole Federalist v anti-Fedarlist split from the start of our republic.

Good point. And for the first roughly 150 years since the American Revolution the small government side was ascendant. Since WWII the big government Federalize everything side has carried the day. Now the country is a shell of what it was at the end of WWII and carries an $18 trillion debt that will only get bigger. Future generations are condemned to ever declining living standards as they are continually burdened by the obligations to past generations over their own futures. Obama loaded further burden on this failing system. I used to believe that I would not live to see American system of government's collapse. After Obama, I'm not so sure anymore.

...federal and state government sanctioned and enforced slavery was an integral part of foundational America, then cheerfully go on to maintaining "the Founders" agreed that America was all about small government.

Slavery had nothing to do with a large centralized government. This vile institution was privately owned and operated. It did not even last for very long in many states. I do not understand the issue if you are attempting to make the case that slavery was a large federally run institution. It was not. There would not have been an American Civil War if it was.

You also, had state and local governments run by sectarian Christian zealots who most certainly wanted to force Christians of of other stripes to conform to their version of the true path.

Wrong again. No state has had an official religion that I am aware of. Certainly not all states mandated religion. There were however communities of varying sizes that pushed for conformity through various means including religion and local laws and ordinances. It was a lot like how today's Left has instituted their own forced conformity through political correctness, media pressure, and hatred of Christians.
