Kim's throwing all his toys out of the pram. He won't stand for it. Poor dear.

Were the N.Koreans following Xinnie the Pooh's orders? ie, start a war while he's away licking the German's boots?

That way, it'll look as if he had nothing to do with it.

South Korea’s Joint Chiefs of Staff said the North Korean warplanes were detected in various areas inland and along the country’s eastern and western coasts, but they did not come particularly close to the inter-Korean border.

None of those planes breached the South Korean military’s virtual “tactical action” line, which is designated 20 to 50 kilometers (12 to 31 miles) north of the Koreas’ land and sea boundaries for monitoring purposes to give the South enough time to respond to provocations or attacks.

As stated NK were conducting aerial exercises well inside their own country, yet people losing it while the US and ROK conduct round the clock attack ariel sorties on NKs doorstep. Laughable.

Experts say North Korea is escalating brinkmanship.

Of course, the US and South Korea's Operation Vigilant Storm is not brinkmanship.

North Korea appears to have fully abandoned negotiating with the US/West using his nukes as a bargaining chip. Kim has now thrown his country entirely into the Russia/China corner. But I wonder if he realizes that if everywent went south, both Russia and China would probably continue to exist, Whereas there will be no North Korea left.

Fat boy throwing away yet more resources while the North Korean people struggle to survive and die of treatable diseases all because the country’s resources are wasted to keep Fat boy and his cohorts in power.

It is in the best interest of all parties involved to put an end to this madness and march on to N. Korea.

180 war planes. If DPRK had an aviation industry that would be an impressive number. Instead, we have to wonder what qualifies as a "war plane."

With its limited fuel and ancient airframes, this must have been a resource straining exercise for the North. Let’s wear out their air assets by forcing them to scramble their bent air planes and 20- hour a year “pilots” vs. our superior air assets.

kind of a “reverse Senkaku” strategy.

There’s no way that they can keep up this operational tempo for long. Grind them up without firing a shot.

NK's Kim seems to be extremely desperate because of his war mongering efforts had no effect in stopping the Joint US-SK military exercises, usually this would be something good because eventually lead to more rational gestures once proved the war mongering is having no effect.

Unfortunately this would require Kim to be rational, which is not the case.

Throwing money away on insecure pranks when your people can’t even afford to eat.

Oh, so North Korean of him.

180 -400 airplanes that means they are probably first generation soviet MIGS. Do they really think that they have to capability to win a dog fight in that old crap. Its like NK going to war with bow an arrows and your SK is using machine guns!! People can say they are out manned but they are in a corner no place to run just sit back miles out and take out those battery positions soften up the targets then send in the bombers to finish them of then send in the fighters to control the skies and mop up what ever is left of the NK foot patrols. I just love it when the fat guy fires off his missiles because X marks the spot there is only so many places where he can launch from and before the missile comes out of the hole it is always sensed and taken out. Satellites will pick that up very quickly!! Loose lips sink ships!

180 war planes .... Instead, we have to wonder what qualifies as a "war plane."

Seems they have about 400:

um yeah, it seems they’re all crap. They are combat alfalfa for a modern Air Force. Ace in a day for DOZENS of western pilots.

We are in Take off, fly, land = success land here.

That’s why the DORK is relying on missiles. They’re cheaper, easier to train.

The vast majority of their aircraft date from the 1940’s and 50’s a few from the 60’s and a few from 70’s USSR, most advanced some mig 29’s.

The biggest threat they have bar the nukes is the vast array of emplaced and fortified artillery within range of Seoul. As about 24% of the total population lives in the city they have allowed them selves to create a vast hostage to fortune. The fixed artillery could be taken out in time but would slaughter an awful lot of people before it was.

@konjo4u

we have to wonder what qualifies as a "war plane."

Anything operated by North Korean airforce, including AN-2.

NK is still using mostly old MIGs but does have some MIG 29s which is far from obsolete for anyone who is interested.
