I watched the entire circus. He did not struggle, in fact he will be approved.

Exactly, not sure why the title says this, only 3 insane Dems tried to derail and fluster RFK Jr. and embarrassingly failed.

-13 ( +17 / -30 )

He will be voted down,he already has two Republican strikes against him, Collins and Murkowski, are Republican, who voted against Hagseth, this guy is not healthy himself,he probably eat an unhealthy diet himself ,he act like he needs a fix

-12 ( +6 / -18 )

“Kennedy also inaccurately claimed that Medicaid is fully paid for by the federal government — it's not; states and federal taxpayers fund it. He also said most Americans have purchased a Medicare Advantage plan, when only about 1 in 10 Americans have.”

Rather basic stuff. Imagine what else he doesn’t know. maga want him in charge of something he knows little about.

RFK Jr. looked great today. Especially in contrast to what the previous administration rolled out to the US public.

-11 ( +16 / -27 )

Looking forward to commenters explaining how serious and deadly the side-effects from vaccines are, while not explaining in any way how, after 4 years and billions of shots administered, there isn't any form of mass and widespread damage from them anywhere on this planet.

8 ( +21 / -13 )

Warnock- ‘You have compared the CDC’s work to Nazi death camps. You’ve compared it to sexual abusers in the Catholic church.’

RFK Jr.- ‘I never said it.’

Warnock- Actually, I have a transcript.’

Its absurd.

12 ( +20 / -8 )

I'm all for a strong debate on health and policy, but let's be HONEST - RFK Jr. is a threat to the establishment because he dares to challenge the CORRUPT ALLIANCE of Big Government, Big Pharma, and their media lapdogs who profit off keeping Americans sick, dependent, and drugged up.

Of course they don't want a leader who actually promotes real health - clean food, exercise, medical freedom - because THERE'S NO MONEY IN IT FOR THEM. That's why they’ll do anything to smear him while pushing endless pills, mandates, and a broken system that keeps people trapped.

America needs RFK Jr. - desperately - precisely because the people attacking him are the ones responsible for the fat mess they're in.

Looking forward to YOU explaining how America just magically went from one of the healthiest nations in the world to the fattest, sickest, and most medicated by pure coincidence? If the system is working so well champ, why are chronic diseases skyrocketing, life expectancy dropping, and Big Pharma raking in record profits while people get sicker?

Maybe take a break from worshipping the pharmaceutical industry and try explaining why an overmedicated, overvaccinated population is drowning in health problems.

-16 ( +11 / -27 )

“I don’t want to take food away from anybody," he said. "If you like a cheeseburger – a McDonald’s cheeseburger and a diet Coke like my boss — you should be able to get them.”

The simple plain truth, well-articulated by RFK Jr while the Dems try to take him down--without success.

-13 ( +9 / -22 )

I mean Michelle Obama did, and the conservatives at the time were absolutely furious.

It’s because they don’t have single payer healthcare, like most other countries.

I don’t hate him with a passion. I just don’t like people who peddle in dangerous misinformation. They are a danger to society.

10 ( +20 / -10 )

Rather basic stuff. Imagine what else he doesn’t know.

I’m more concerned with the knowledge he has about what’s in our food and why Dems particularly lobbyist Democrats like Lyndon are against Simone who wants to make our food chain healthier? I don’t see the Dems too interested in our health

maga want him in charge of something he knows little about.

He knows a lot about food safety, something that Dems could care less about.

Old leather face is out of his depth. I guess all that heroin has affected his cognitive functions.

-1 ( +16 / -17 )

What does any of that have to do with vaccines?

Alright, well let's can your blind faith in the pharmaceutical institutions that have repeatedly lied to the public for a moment and let's look at the reality.

The idea that no mass harm has come from these vaccines is COMPLETELY FALSE. Excess mortality rates have spiked in multiple countries since the rollout, with insurance data showing unexplained increases in deaths among working-age adults. Look up myocarditis, blood clots, strokes - as I TOLD YOU to do last time. These were once considered rare but are now alarmingly common, especially among young, healthy individuals. The CDC and WHO have quietly admitted to these risks, yet they continue pushing these shots with no long-term safety data. If the effects were truly insignificant, why have so many people suddenly developed these conditions at rates UNSEEN before 2021?

Wake up. Your favorite conglomerates have been lying, covering up, and gaslighting the public to protect its own interests. Why are you so eager to believe them?

-17 ( +9 / -26 )

I just don’t like people who peddle in dangerous misinformation. They are a danger to society.

If he still had a (D) next to his name, you would simply look the other way. Tale is as old as time.

-13 ( +9 / -22 )

Interestingly enough, you didn't hate him with a passion til 2024, why?

Personally I liked and supported most of his ideas a few years ago. Especially stuff like this:

In 2016, Kennedy called supporters of then-presidential candidate Donald Trump "belligerent idiots" and suggested that some were "outright Nazis". He has also characterized Trump as a "bully" and a "threat to democracy", comparing him to Adolf Hitler and George Wallace.

He was obviously 100% right... But then he started advocating for raw milk and spouting nonsense about vaccines.

14 ( +22 / -8 )

Looking forward to YOU explaining how America just magically went from one of the healthiest nations in the world to the fattest, sickest, and most medicated by pure coincidence?

Magically? You think this happened overnight or recently?

When was America one of the healthiest nations? Give us a year.

He knows a lot about food safety

I’m more concerned with the knowledge he has about what’s in our food

Of course they don't want a leader who actually promotes real health - clean food

“I don’t want to take food away from anybody," he said. "If you like a cheeseburger – a McDonald’s cheeseburger and a diet Coke like my boss — you should be able to get them.”

RFKjr, yesterday.

9 ( +17 / -8 )

Alright, well let's can your blind faith in the pharmaceutical institutions

Stopped reading after this laughable straw man. Supporting the scientific concepts of vaccines does not equate to blindly supporting all pharmaceutical institutions. So there's nothing to discuss there.

Yeah. I wonder why? Oh we had a pandemic. Covid accounts for excess deaths.

Also, they have long term safety data.

8 ( +14 / -6 )

It’s because they don’t have single payer healthcare, like most other countries.

HUH? If that had anything to do with it, why are people still over-medicated and dependent on pharmaceutical drugs?

The real issue is that the US healthcare prioritize drug-based treatments over actual prevention and holistic care, creating a culture of over-prescription while ignoring the root causes of health problems. Instead of empowering patients to take control of their own health, these systems push a cycle of dependency on BIG PHARMA, where the cure is usually worse than the disease.

When are you - and all the other apologists on here - going to admit this SICK system is broken and that something needs to be done about it?

It’s a good system for U.S. Congress to pin down a secretary-candidate before he is officially appointed to the post. Japan should emulate the U.S. system in this point.

No, I wouldn’t. My opinion hasn’t changed. He was a kook then as well.

Name some current Democrats you dislike and name some Republicans you like.

-8 ( +8 / -16 )

If this guy didn't have the name Kennedy, he would be tossed into the trash can. Pure garbage, but he thinks that COVID came from 5G (and/or other weird stuff). Remember, a worm literally ate this guys brain.

going to admit this SICK system is broken and that something needs to be done about it?

How about Medicare for all and Medicaid expansion. Works that way in Japan and this is a pretty healthy society. But one problem is Americans (in the USA) are allergic to walking.

If he still had a (D) next to his name, you would simply look the other way.

What person with a (D) thinks that Covid comes from 5G networks like Kennedy. Maybe the worm changed his brain and caused the (D) to change to an (R)

The idea that no mass harm has come from these vaccines is COMPLETELY FALSE.

The Japanese don't think so. They don't think that the COVID vaccine implants microchips into our bloodstreams the way Tucker Carlson has pushed this idea on FOX. The vax rate in Japan was considerably higher than the USA and things worked out fine.

RFK Jr. is a crackpot who’s found the perfect job in a crackpot administration.

6 ( +14 / -8 )

RFK Jr didn’t struggle! He was amazing! When you have to fight the dems who are all receiving money from big pharmaceutical companies then what do you expect! I would say the best one was Senator Warren getting owned! She doesn’t want any pharmaceutical company to be sued!

-8 ( +10 / -18 )

The real issue is that the US healthcare prioritize drug-based treatments over actual prevention and holistic care, creating a culture of over-prescription while ignoring the root causes of health problems.

Some of this is partially true, but, again, has nothing to do with vaccines. You are conflating several different issues under the same "big pharma" umbrella, greatly diminishing the validity of your own points. Now, fi you want to have a real discussion:

America is profoundly unhealthy because it eats garbage. Now, why does it eat garbage? Food culture, wealth inequality, agroindustrial complex, food quality, it's all linked. But you could perfectly sum it up with one general concept: unfettered capitalism.

Second, America is profoundly unhealthy because of a broken healthcare system based on profit. No need to explain further, everyone knows what's going on. So, again... unfettered capitalism.

Third, America is profoundly unhealthy because of its lifestyle. Unwalkable towns, car-based suburban life, harmful culture and hobbies. Basically, you guessed it... unfettered capitalism.

It's absolutely no wonder that a country that actively worships money and greed is unhealthy. it's a feature, not a bug.

1 ( +12 / -11 )

Might as well confirm him. It's clear that the choices being made for these positions are based entirely on spite and revenge and not on qualification.

If you're going to fill the positions with people who have no business being anywhere near them, might as well go all the way and not do things by half.

-2 ( +7 / -9 )

When you have to fight the dems who are all receiving money from big pharmaceutical companies then what do you expect!

"Big pharma gave slightly more money to republicans than democrats last year.

So what's your point?

-1 ( +10 / -11 )

Second, America is profoundly unhealthy because of a broken healthcare system based on profit. No need to explain further,

Exactly, I'm paying into the Japanese national healthcare system and have seen it help many people even though I have never been hospitalized myself. I think Trump people living in Japan could gain really good wisdom to see how well the system works to keep people basically healthy at the same time no one really goes bankrupt over major health issues.

Medicare for all baby! Works well in Japan (including for Trump people)

A crackpot looney toon in charge of an organization of scientists. Welcome to Trump's America.

0 ( +11 / -11 )

It is broken. It needs single payer healthcare.

So people can be more affordably over-medicated and dependent on pharmaceutical drugs?

NO, the U.S. needs to fix its CULTURE where people are hooked on prescription medications more than anywhere else. Switch on the TV - every second commercial is one for a pharmaceutical drug! No other countries do that, why is that OK the US?

Because instead of focusing on prevention or holistic treatment, the Big Pharma-controlled industry pushes pills as the one-size-fits-all solution, usually with side effects worse than the original ailments. That's why every TV commercial is an announcement for a class-action lawsuit for people affected by the aforementioned drugs.

Do you have a TV? Switch it on.

The US Big Pharma system is DESIGNED to keep people sick and dependent, where the goal isn't healing but profit - profiting off of addiction to prescription drugs that are often unnecessary, over-prescribed, and harmful. The result? America is a nation of over-medicated individuals, while Big Pharma rakes in billions, unchecked and untouchable.

Something needs to change. And that change is coming.

-9 ( +7 / -16 )

Great pic of RFK Jr.

It really captures his true essence.

-2 ( +7 / -9 )

America is profoundly unhealthy because it eats garbage. Now, why does it eat garbage? Food culture, wealth inequality, agroindustrial complex, food quality, it's all linked.

And what has any previous government body ever done to address the any of these issues affect public health? Absolutely nothing.

And when someone dares to challenge the status quo and point out all of those things, what do you do? You dismiss him as a "conspiracy theorist" and throw a tantrum, as if the truth is something to be feared. Meanwhile, America continues to spiral into poor health, not because of a lack of access to medications, but because the entire system is rigged to keep people sick and dependent.

You're right - America is profoundly unhealthy, but it's not just the garbage food people eat. It is the food culture, the agroindustrial complex, and the abysmal quality of what passes for nourishment. And there is now someone who is fighting back against those things.

So let's agree that you agree with RFK.

And what has any previous government body ever done to address the any of these issues affect public health? Absolutely nothing.

Again, Michelle Obama tried to do something and she was hated by the right for it. Trump proactively rolled her initiatives back:

https://www.newsweek.com/donald-trump-rolls-back-michelle-obama-initiatives-592608

That doesn't make Trump very health-friendly, doesn't it?

You're right - America is profoundly unhealthy, but it's not just the garbage food people eat. It is the food culture, the agroindustrial complex, and the abysmal quality of what passes for nourishment.

....that's exactly what I said, yes.

But it certainly won't be RFK Jr., who already backed down from criticizing McDonalds and Diet Coke because Trump loves it. He used to be against those. Now he's not anymore. Not very pro-health, right?

No way Pedro!

I think the UK should be watching carefully too. We have a bad habit of copying the USA, and if we end up putting a former heroin addict in charge of the NHS...

It’s not his heroin addiction that’s the problem for me - everyone deserves a second chance.

I’d be more concerned about how much of his brain was eaten by that worm.

Your average conspiracy theorist is basically a stunted adult who finally found a place where he or she could be praised for being intelligent and perceptive. They are often unemployable or should only be trusted with basic tasks.

RFK is something far more dangerous.

4 ( +12 / -8 )

It’s not his heroin addiction that’s the problem for me - everyone deserves a second chance.

Second chances are OK, yes, but consider the judgement of someone who got himself addicted to a substance that is known - even by the most brain-dead conspiracy theorist - to be incredibly bad for you. It's not like heroin's an unknown quantity. Nobody starts using it thinking "hey, this is going to make my overall health way better".

Someone with such poor judgement isn't someone who should be in one of the most important health / wellbeing related roles in government.

I'd listen to Miles Davis play trumpet all day, but I sure wouldn't have asked him to advise me on health.

3 ( +9 / -6 )

Yes, I remember your enthusiastic support of Michelle Obama’s campaign to encourage healthier diets for children.

Well, I did and I have always been a person who takes health seriously, but what I hated about what Michelle Obama did was force people to eat foods that no one wanted. You can make foods that kids like without all the additives. You can eat whatever you want, but you don’t need to eat it with chemicals, so that’s the difference, healthier food as opposed to forcing kids to eat a particular are two entirely different things.

-6 ( +8 / -14 )
