NK can keep Rodman.

DPRK are welcome to this freak. Seems too often ex-celebs get delusions of grandeur.

Come on! So Dennis is a bit strange, big deal! Better than say your average Republican like "Rumsfeld" etc...that got the USA into that big mess called, Iraq!

2 ( +10 / -8 )

I am sure that aside from all the rhetoric by the DPRK, old Kim kun really loves the USA and freedom, he is just a bit shy to admit it to his loyal fan(slave brain washed DRPK citizens,) right??

We're going to Disneyland!

They need to invite Bozo the Clown and make it a proper threesome.

Rodman feeds into the NK propaganda machine, as his story can be used to highlight US treatment of minorities, especially successful ones. And back home, Rodman hanging out with Lil Kim reminds/suggests-to minorities, that NK is just like them, trying to survive & be fly, in a world run by spiteful, no-pride-having devils. US officials mocking Rodman play into this even more. Bravo, lil Kim, Bravo.

I could support Rodman. He can reach out to the leader and get access that no one else can. Sure, KJU is a bad guy, but maybe Rodman could help temper that somewhat. The problem Rodman has is when he tries to justify the actions of KJU. He should just say that he doesn't support his policies and he's working to change that.

David Quintero Navarro: Come on! So Dennis is a bit strange, big deal! Better than say your average Republican like "Rumsfeld" etc...that got the USA into that big mess called, Iraq!

Stupid and off topic. Get over it and move on. The rest of the world has.

It's a gamble ... but let Dennis go ahead and try to soothe relations between the U.S. & North Korea. So far he seems to be playing his cards right. Perhaps it's better than having some government-controlled diplomat doing the wheeling & dealing with the North Koreans.

Rodman is no ambassador. He played basketball not negotiations. Most see Rodman as a "unique" character and his choice in a friend bolsters that.

4 ( +5 / -1 )

It can only be positive if an American is hugging the North Korean leader, whatever their diplomatic credentials.

I'm surprised some Americans aren't reacting more positivel to these developments, this is the stuff all those hokus pokus Hollywood sport films dream of....

I'm trying to think which is worse - sharing the poolside with the pudgy one or watching Kevin Costners "field of dreams"...

When Rodman gets tired of Kim Jong-Un, he'll become buddies with Baby Assad.

-1 ( +1 / -2 )

This is pathetic.... Maybe Jong-un thinks rodman is Obama.

-2 ( +1 / -3 )

Funny how BUSH could never come up with sending somebody like Rodman to break the ice over in North Korea, but I guess some people here want to say this has NOTHING to do with Mr.Obama, but my guess is that Mr.Obama likes basketball, talked to Rodman and now the icebreaking has begun.

I dont think President Obama had anything to do with it. Rodman is a knucklehead just like he has always been. He couldn't even really explain his rationale very well at all and made himself look stupid on TV the other day. Keep him in North Korea and let him see how life really is.

Madverts: I'm surprised some Americans aren't reacting more positivel to these developments

There was a pretty bad interview Rodman gave after his visit where he basically tried to defend KJU and his policies in North Korea. Sean Penn type of stuff. He could have just put that aside and talked about his trip strictly from a humanitarian point of view which would have been a lot better.

Dennis needs to stop drinking, but Obama needs to stop the sabre-rattling and give NK a call. It is sad to see the LIbs not willing to give up these wars/terrorism and using Dennis Rodman to further their globalist agenda.

Anybody heard of the ping pong politics during the 70s?

1 ( +1 / -0 )

Lil Kim reminds/suggests-to minorities, that NK is just like them, trying to survive & be fly, in a world run by spiteful, no-pride-having devils.

There may be "some" minorities who believe the above. I'm sure most don't. I certainly don't! Furthermore, when Lil Kim threatens to nuke New York City, he can't give minorities assurances that only those "spiteful, no-pride-having devils" will be toast.

Jay: All right, let's put in a call to Dennis Rodman. He's from that planet. Elle: Rodman? You're kidding. Jay: Nope. Elle: Not much of a disguise.

-4 ( +0 / -4 )

Peter, are you suggesting that the Un is from the same planet as Rodman? Makes sense....

-2 ( +0 / -2 )

Maybe Kim will try to defect during this vacation?

"I don't condone what he does, but he's my friend"="He's a drug-dealing, wife-beating child- molester but he's really an ok guy once you get to know him. "

Back under your rock, worm.

Just another Left-wing celebrity nut ball rubbing shoulders with a Socialist dictator.

Super : "There was a pretty bad interview Rodman gave after his visit where he basically tried to defend KJU and his policies in North Korea. Sean Penn type of stuff. He could have just put that aside and talked about his trip strictly from a humanitarian point of view which would have been a lot better."

I have to admit I'd never heard of the guy until it came up in the news recently. Sure I agree with what you say if that's the case, I've made my views on activist stars keeping their mouths shut as often as possible on matters outside their stardom often enough. I just meant an American hugging the leader of the Norks is at least a start from a situation that couldn't probably get any worse right now.

Can you imagine the nuts from the regime in Iran being photographed with any American in such a manner?

1 ( +1 / -0 )

Madverts, that would be cool! I wanna see Kim, Rodman and the Iranian leader all kicking back, drinking some nice cold brewskies and them all playing basketball, you know, give peace a chance!

The White House home-brews (are they paying ATF taxes on that?)

You would think with Obama being from Chicago and a Chicago Bulls fan he would have open arms for Dennis Rodman. But seriously, Rodman needs to stay away from the hooch -but if he is to drink why not drink the best.
