oh my god! Marco how dare you “escalate the tone, sharply!” to terrorists.
must be ok, he was confirmed 99-0.

I think Trump needs to make a quick call to “Abdul” and remind him he can easily find his new home address if he needs to.

And the US is just giving China the keys to getting more countries on their side.
The_Beagle
This is the way.

"bounties"? lol. We have entered the Wild West phase of USA foreign policy.

1,500 Afghans who risked their lives, and the lives of their families working for the US military were promised asylum in the US. Those have now been denied by Trump including the ones already granted. That is Trump's loyalty to you.
bass4funk
China already had that, but most don’t and won’t have the money to contribute anything to a military cause
Blacklabel
did Trump promise them entry?
and Afghanistan was over years ago, why they just scheduled for flying NOW?

That is Trump's loyalty to you.
The US promised them.
You understand little about asylum.
Some remained in Afghanistan while their applications were processed. One man and his family have been in hiding from the Taliban. Others entered the US and some were given asylum and some were waiting.
Trump cancelled them all with a stroke of a Sharpie.

Trump will take a look at it, don’t worry
Blacklabel
so Trump didn’t as he wasn’t “the US” at that time. Why did it take so long for them to fly?
did Biden keep any Trump promises?
plasticmonkey
No he won’t.

It is pathetic if Trump/US does not honor and protect those Afghans who helped your US military. Some lost their lives. it's a small group of people.
plasticmonkey
What do you have against helping Afghans who risked their lives to help the American military? You feel Trump is wise to signal to all its allies that they are owed nothing for their sacrifice? That’s a pretty abhorrent vision for American”greatness”.
bass4funk
He absolutely will, he is not Biden thankfully.

Biden gave asylum to Afghans who helped the US military.
"On August 29, 2021, President Biden directed the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) to lead and coordinate ongoing efforts across the federal government to support vulnerable Afghans, including those who worked alongside us in Afghanistan for the past two decades, as they safely resettle in the United States."

Blinken being shown the door is a win for international peace. What Rubio has in mind will be revealed going forward.
bass4funk
Exactly.
theFu
In 60 days when Trump decides that Rubio is a "terrible human being" and fires him, his protection detail will be non-existent and the Taliban will try to assassinate him.
Anyone else keeping track of the Trump executive orders that are being challenged AND found unconstitutional by courts?
It's like Trump didn't watch "Schoolhouse Rock" like every other kid in school and during weekend cartoons. https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLodb_A8JfCxWUsysZXMvv6s1vHu_oSM_q is the entire playlist for Trump to educate himself about the US govt.
After all, Trump doesn't like to read for knowledge, so maybe those cartoons will work?
Blacklabel
nothing at all. Pete Hegseth helped quite a few of them get to the USA.
unfortunately, Joe had 3.5 years to help them too, but did nothing.
WHY were they not here soon after August 2021?
wallace
Asylum applications take time especially from outside the country. In total, there are about 15,000 applications.
Some have been granted asylum but are now suspended by Trump.
Blacklabel
Did no one tell Biden that Kamala lost? I think they did because of the family pardons 22 mins left in office.
so I am expected to believe all 1500 people were coincidentally all ready to come now, 3.5 years later, but scheduled to fly the day after Trump inauguration?
plasticmonkey
Some were. Others came later.
The process takes time, and Congress refused to show absolute fealty to Biden and allow a change of status.
Blacklabel
not 3.5 years. If so, Biden’s government screwed those people by not giving them any priority like he gave his family.
That 1.5 applications a day.
