"...Medvedev, 57, has adopted an increasingly hawkish tone and made a series of outspoken interventions since the war began with some political analysts suggesting he is one of the people that Putin might one day consider as a successor."

So, sounds like Russia is more confident with the assistance of China now. He was not so confident until China took sides. China obviously is with Russia and not on the side of International norms and regulations.

This is beginning to look like Russia and China in partnership to change the landscape and borders in Europe.

We may have a conflict larger than what we have now with Russia and China fighting agains the West.

Wonder, how would North Korea play into all of this?

Here we go....I knew it!

This guy couldn’t float an idea if it landed on his head and exploded. Let’s hope it does.

I never said that

Yet you want America to do less to stop Russia doing this kind of thing.

Either eat your cake or don't.

Look towards them heading south, again!

He's talking tough for a domestic audience. It is not a serious threat. I would not even be too sure he knows the situation on the battlefield. He, like Mr. Putin live in a cocoon of their own making surrounded by yes-men. But I think even Mr. Medvedev knows better than to directly challenge the territory of a NATO member.

Blacklabel - another obvious tell are Medvedev’s words themselves.

Was talking about “the west” and Ukraine needing to manufacture something that forces Biden to commit American troops to his reckless and dumb statement.

Does anyone for the life of them think if Biden is re-elected, that Putin would pull-out of Ukraine because of that?

In regards to the continuation of financially funding Ukraine, most definitely.

More Russia cheering, and US jeering, from our usual suspects...they sure have Putin's back...

Medvedev has become a comic figure - only full of foolish bluster and bombast...he looks more pitiful with every rant...

If he wants to float something, I'd suggest he start with the hulk of his flagship Moskva located at the bottom of the Black Sea...the dead Russian sailors wives and mothers might appreciate that...

Any encroachment on Poland's borders would bring Russia for the first time into direct conflict with NATO. U.S.

Err, come again? Nato expansion into Norway and the Baltic has done this already, and Nato expansion into Ukraine (promoted by the US) would take this to an unacceptable level.

Fact is, the Minsk treaty was signed to prevent exactly the current situation, and it was the Zelenski regime that has been breaking it.

The article writer should check facts before writing opinions.

Aaah Medvedev. The shop dummies shop dummy. This war will stop either through a Ukrainian victory or when the criminal network of oligarchs that run/fleece Russia decide it's no longer profitable for them.

It is a general truth that autocratic leaders appoint lesser people as their followers. Often they employee idiots. Medvedev is an idiot.

"Any encroachment on Poland's borders would bring Russia for the first time into direct conflict with NATO."

If Putin knows what Medvedev really means and has any brains left he should be having laundry issues now.

In order to avoid mix-ups, "Medvedev" is a common Russian name like "Smith" or "Jones." "Medvedev" derives from "bear." Before Christianity Russians worshiped bears.

Furthermore, anyone who is not Russian but supports Russia should be seen as a traitor and treated as such.

A full world war would be great for nationalism in all countries and especially Russia, China, Iran, and NK. It would would really bad for the loss of life on both sides. It would be great for many countries' economies especially Western countries. It would be really terrible for the people of Russia, China, Iran, and NK because they will have to rebuild and probably face all kinds of discrimination abroad especially when their countries lose in a humiliating defeat.

However, it might be really great for those countries when that humiliating defeat leads to regime change. We might see China and/or Russia (maybe not for the latter) become the economic powerhouses like Germany and Japan was after their tremendous defeat in WWII. There will probably be a long awaited unification of Korea.

Zelensky is been force to negotiate, behind the scenes,he is under intense pressure to do so or face consequences by the Western leaders

I saw media footage yesterday of Polish tank barriers being placed across the roads from Kaliningrad.

Better to be safe than sorry when Russia is in an expansionist, hegemonic mood like this.

Ukraine will not be joining NATO ever

Pushing back Poland's borders? Well, he can try. Nutcase.
