Russia's Wagner group appears to do U-turn on Bakhmut withdrawal

I thought it was only Prigozhin having a cry, not any real solid plans to withdraw.

He was just making excuses in an attempt at avoiding blame for the mess in Bakhmut.

Russian officials have repeatedly sought to allay concerns that their forces on the front line have not received adequate supplies.

If these officials are among the Russian officials that claimed the invasion of Ukraine was a special military operation, if so they join Putin, Lavrov, Prigozhin, their social media , and others as being totally untrustworthy.

Absolutely no surprise, patently obvious he was doing it for internal consumption.

The only way the Wagners will go back to Russia is in body bags since for Russian soldiers there's still the old Soviet tradition of no retreat when the security forces "have your back".

More than 50% of the Wagner convict conscripts are dead forcing Putin to enact new laws to try and mobilise a further 250,000 young men.
