Lololol. Prigozhin has really gone off script. Wonder what his endgame is.

I think he's scared of losing the spotlight. He sees the ministry of defense as his competitors, not ally.

Of course, he's right though. Anyone with a brain would ignore their claims by now.

Let’s face it. Russia has never had the conventional warfare equipment to win a soccer game. It’s crap equipment, crap leadership and crap war fighting doctrine.

Their only power is nuclear weapons. And who knows how many of those will or won’t work.

Honeymoon is over?

President Prigozhin gets it.

here you all go, falling for the restauranteur propaganda again.

he constantly keeps you off balance whether to believe him or suspect a trap.

Wagner captures Russian commander as Prigozhin feud with army escalates

Lt Col Roman Venevitin was seen telling the interrogator he ordered troops to shoot at a convoy of mercenaries.

In a video posted on Prigozhin’s social media channels, Lt Col Roman Venevitin, the commander of Russia’s 72nd Brigade, tells an interrogator that, while drunk, he had ordered his troops to fire on a Wagner convoy.

In the footage, which resembled clips of prisoner of war soldiers, Venevitin said he acted because of his “personal dislike” for Wagner and then apologised.

Last week, Prigozhin accused the Russian army of trying to blow up his men as they were pulling back from the eastern Ukrainian town of Bakhmut.

Coming from a man who believed Putin when he said he wouldn’t invade, then claimed it wasn’t an invasion anyway.

One needs only to believe in something that you don’t for it to stand a solid chance of it being true.

11 ( +12 / -1 )

What benefit would him lying about this possibly bring to anyone but himself?

To kill that many people would require daily gains of 150 kilometers, he said in remarks published on the Telegram channel of his press serv

But it supposedly happened defending against an attack

-5 ( +2 / -7 )

What benefit would him lying about this possibly bring to anyone but himself?

to set a trap for others.

here you all go, falling for the restauranteur propaganda again.

FYI, the restauranteur is on your side.

Yup, wars are awful for everyone, especially civilians, which is why we shouldn't be starting wars.

11 ( +11 / -0 )

It's bizarre how certain quarters seem stubbornly determined to believe him when it suits their worldview, but insist he is lying when it doesn't.

People have swallowed such a barrage of propaganda, regurgitated and massaged by the MSM. It is off-the-scale and exceeds the yellow-brick-road fantasy that was constructed around the invasion, occupation and War in Afghanistan.

Many have wholeheartedly seized on the Good versus Bad "cowboys vs Indians" narrative to explain the conflict, while denying, ignoring or being indifferent to the actual causes of the conflict. It's far easier to retreat to the "benign and well-intentioned west and poor-little Ukraine vs evil Russia and imperialist Putin who is trying to recreate the USSR" than face up to the complexities of the world.

The chef is just taking advantage of this mindset to play with your head.

JJE - Wait, so you are trying to tell me we shouldn't take the sledgehammering mercenary warlord at his word?!? What next, that we shouldn't believe the Russian MOD either?

*People have swallowed such a barrage of propaganda, regurgitated and massaged by the MSM*

Yawn.

Please tell us what we should be reading/watching/listening to.

Russia's defense ministry said that its forces had repelled Ukraine's second major offensive in two days,

Yes, it is so.

How many losses at Ukrainian side?

Hard to say - only approximately

But they lost many soldiers and combat vehicles

-3 ( +5 / -8 )

FYI, the restauranteur is on your side.

except that I dont have a side.

I just want it over, your side are the ones trying to fight, fight, fight to the last Ukrainian and kill all Russians.

-10 ( +5 / -15 )

which is why we shouldn't be starting wars.

agree, but also end them as quickly as possible by diplomacy/negotiations once they start.

-10 ( +3 / -13 )

FYI, the restauranteur is on your side.

You do get unusually upset if people mock Putin.

Unusual for someone who is indifferent.

9 ( +11 / -2 )

There will be negotiations at some point, no doubt, but not until the invaders are kicked out of Ukraine.

5 ( +7 / -2 )

GO WAGNER, GO RUSSIA!!!..

-12 ( +2 / -14 )

Kiev

Kyiv

6 ( +9 / -3 )

Let's hope Prigozhin has one of his outbursts next time he meets with Putin. Anyway, this war is a mess, so just put an end to it.

The most important thing is to use a broad range of sources, and not just rely on MSM.

To that effect, I look at an entire spectrum of news, everything from this to the NYT, Guardian to AJ and RT.

Websites like "The Drive - Warzone" have some level-headed analysis.

There's some pretty reasonable interactive maps that are updated daily - from both sides.

Other good resources are on Telegram, which the MSM are also looking at. A well-known and clearly plugged-in channel is Rybar but there are heaps.

But the main point, I think, is using a wide-ranging source of news and information.

NYT, Guardian to AJ and RT

Thanks for the reply. I’d give the bold a rest if I were you. A bit distracting.

What’s AJ?

11 ( +11 / -0 )

JJE , 01.32pm - yes, very good post.

People have swallowed such a barrage of** propaganda***, regurgitated and massaged by the MSM - Yawn. Please tell us what we should be reading/watching/listening to.*

You seriously need to ask him that? Yawn.

-8 ( +2 / -10 )

Does anyone know what ‘AJ’ is?

Genuine question.

8 ( +8 / -0 )

"Does anyone know what ‘AJ’ is? - Genuine question."

I,d take that to mean Al Jazeera.

-2 ( +3 / -5 )

AJ is Al Jazeera.

It's just one of many news sources out there.

-8 ( +0 / -8 )

AJ is Al Jazeera.

Cheers.

people are dying every day and all most of you have is anyone who disagrees with you or legitimately criticizes Ukraine or their propaganda in any way "Pootie fanboy".

then does that make all of you Zelensky fanboys then? or not how it works?

its childish nonsense when people are dying and World War 3 is getting closer every day.

I actually saw a guy mocking Putin saying well probably Russia's nukes dont even work, if they even have any.

You really wanna find that out at a "probably" level of certainty/seriousness?

Just hope they dont work or hope they dont actually have any- REALLY?

and when you are wrong?

except that I dont have a side.

I just want it over, your side are the ones trying to fight, fight, fight to the last Ukrainian and kill all Russians.

If a foreign force militarily invaded and destroyed your country, your town, your home, killing thousands of fellow citizens, you wouldn't fight until they left? You would run, run, run?

8 ( +9 / -1 )

I would expect my leader to negotiate an end to that to save any more bloodshed, destruction and death.

fighting just kills a thousands more if my enemy is strong enough to have killed thousands of us already.

I definitely wouldnt expect Ukraine to send us 100 billion dollars and arm us for 16 months at their expense while they sit back and watch us all die for their benefit.

I definitely wouldnt expect Ukraine to send us 100 billion dollars and arm us for 16 months at their expense while they sit back and watch us all die for their benefit.

Ukraine has entered into negotiations but when one much larger country invades another smaller sovereign country's territory and refuses to leave, it's expected they will need and find allies. What would you expect? No support and allow the aggressor to succeed and continue expanding into other countries. Or a full scale escalation whereby those allies send actual troops which could lead to a global war. You make no sense.

6 ( +7 / -1 )

I would expect my leader to negotiate an end to that to save any more bloodshed, destruction and death.

All your leader has to do is pull his troops out of Ukraine and the war ends tomorrow. Write Putin a letter or something.

7 ( +9 / -2 )

Putin isnt my leader, regardless of how many times you want to try to infer/say it.

Its childish and serves no actual purpose.

The MY LEADER in this hypothetical scenario that I was responding to, quite obviously.

If a foreign force militarily invaded and destroyed your country, your town, your home, killing thousands of fellow citizens, you wouldn't fight until they left? You would run, run, run?
