Keep pounding, Ukraine.

When you think an atomic bomb is your best option, then your officially out of your mind.

"AbandenedRussia said on Saturday its troops had abandoned the key bastion

"the above sounds like a national socialist's PC way of Putin telling his followers that one of his armies got their behinds handed to them, and are running back home to their mommies in Mother Russia where they belong. And now some of Putin's oligarchs who haven't run away to the safety of a foreign country are calling for nukes. Warmonger Putin and his warmongering oligarchs by now should have learned their military is best at raping and butchering civilians and destroying civilian infrastructure but not very good at fighting people defending their sovereign nation, but it's doubtful because the narcissistically impaired cannot admit they make mistakes.

14 ( +17 / -3 )

“Mykhailo Podolyak, an advisor to Zelenskiy, mocked the Kremlin ceremony on Friday announcing the annexation.”

He wasn’t alone. A large number of Russians mocked it also.

I heard yesterday from our kremlin keyboarders that Russia won’t use nuclear weapons, that they are merely responding to ‘the west’ threatening to use nuclear weapons.

So the usual bs then.

20 ( +26 / -6 )

*Putin ally suggests a *nuclear response

I can not stop saying it again and again,

These russian as..les and all their allies, supporters and followers are completely insane.

Full of madness!

Somebody has to wipe these insane as...holes out before they destroy our planet and all lives on it.

It is the time for that now!

Before it is too late....

And after that, the world can live again in peace without all these warmongering idiots.

24 ( +28 / -4 )

"stupidity", "madness", sure. What need to be contemplated is what does a megalomaniac, Napoleon-complex, self-styled macho man do as he loses a war he started. My supposition is that he doesn't stand down with the Russian equivalent of "ah shucks, that didn't work as planned". So nuclear weapons use seems probable at this point to me.

17 ( +19 / -2 )

I see, so are they proposing to nuke their own country, i.e. the land they just "annexed"?

17 ( +21 / -4 )

So do the Ukrainians now need to hold a "referendum" in Lyman to transfer "ownership" from Russia back to Ukraine? Is that how this works?

16 ( +18 / -2 )

Is a tactic. Usually the boss will keep a wild dog at his side that bark all the time and he would keep it on a leash to threaten people around him.

Everyone knows they aren't that stupid to truly use nukes because the response and consequences they would suffer would be sever. But is a common tactic leaders usually use to scare their enemies. To act in a play that show that the people around him want to resort to nukes and while the owner is acting reasonable. This is just a tactic they use to trick the enemies to make them think Russia is gonna resort to nukes. To make the west back off. In the end they would never dare to use those weapons. They love their wealth and power too much to lose it all in a all-out nuke war.

-1 ( +8 / -9 )

Everyone knows they aren't that stupid

I do not think Putin is as smart as his supporters and apologists claim, but do not think he is 'stupid', I think he's mentally and emotionally unbalanced, which is not uncommon in individuals who've abused anabolic steroids. Looking at pictures of the oligarchs who surround him it looks like many of them have also done the Russian thing and used steroids themselves.

20 ( +22 / -2 )

As unpopular as this view will be, I have alwayts thought that NATO should have engaged Russia in Ukraine directly. Yes, lots of death and destruction, but that's what the Ukranian civilians are living with day in and day out. How long would it take a full NATO miltary action to remove all Russian assets out of Ukraine take? Undoubtedly less time than Russian's invasion has taken.

Putin has played on the West's reluctance to engage Russia directly. He sees this as "fear" and uses his nuclear threats to feed that fear. We are letting him play by his rules. Only when Putin himself feels fear will hhe actually stand down and end this war.

Call his bluff on the nukes. He's not the only one in the playground with such toys And sensible people in Russia are like sensible people everywhere else. And I am sure there are plenty of patriotic Generals in the Russian Army who are more interested in actually protecting their country, than letting one madman's ego destroy it.

Simultaneously the UN needs a serious diaper change. The sheer absurdity of an organization created to maintain world peace unable to do so because the aggressor nation has veto power is mind boggling.

17 ( +23 / -6 )

PTownsend - He is also likely not getting the most accurate information from his advisors. Imagine all that power and still getting junk info. Reason #eleventy million why autocracies are not the best for a nation in the long term - information just doesn't flow as freely either up or down.

7 ( +10 / -3 )

@ossan

100% agree, on both nato action & the UN.

10 ( +12 / -2 )

Use nukes and the black sea fleet ceases to exist. Use nukes and the launch point is destroyed and we don’t care if it was from Red Square. Use nukes and we enter on the side of Ukraine and remove your forces on live tv thereby dealing Russia a strategic and political defeat from which it shall not recover. Oh, and a unified Ukraine will be immediately accepted into NATO.

This is what had likely been said privately. It might be time to say it more explicitly publicly.

14 ( +17 / -3 )

This is hilarious. Russian experts on Telegram have been saying for weeks the town, Krasny Lyman (Red Lyman due to the now deserted town being a communist stronghold) is completely irrelevant and the only reason to keep it is because it's occupation would be trumpeted by MSM. They were saying to let MSM go for it's life because they plan on winning the war, not the propaganda campaign.

Anyway, everyone should know this is the calm before the storm. In about 6 weeks, when the mud becomes hard due to the cold and refresher training is completed, around 6 times the number of Russian soldiers are going to be unleashed.

BTW does anyone have any idea who blew up the pipelines? Not the Fuhrer but just below him Reich officials have ruled out Russian involvement while not only people on the streets but now high officials in the Reich are on TV demanding what they are calling "a clean break" from USA. Seems they know who blew up the pipelines which effects Russia very minimally but is catastrophic for the Reich.

-29 ( +5 / -34 )

What a stupid ridiculous unnecessary conflict .

Agreed 100%. Time for Russia to go home.

20 ( +23 / -3 )

So do the Ukrainians now need to hold a "referendum" in Lyman to transfer "ownership" from Russia back to Ukraine? Is that how this works?

All the civilians long ago evacuated to Russia. If they were to go back, which they will when the town is liberated once and for all, the Ukrainian regime or the western powers which control it, would not hold a referendum. At least 90% of residents would vote to join Russia.

-32 ( +2 / -34 )

Run little orcs! Run for your lives!

17 ( +21 / -4 )

Anyway, everyone should know this is the calm before the storm. In about 6 weeks, when the mud becomes hard due to the cold and refresher training is completed, around 6 times the number of Russian soldiers are going to be unleashed.

Axel - prediction noted and I will check back with you in 6 weeks.

16 ( +20 / -4 )

Putin and his cabal of war criminals sound more desperate each day....

He now controls less territory in Ukraine after 8 months than he did after the first five days of his invasion...

There's a word for that....retreat...the only military tactic the Russian Army has shown any competence at...

Expect even more bombast, pomposity, and bluster...as his Army is left in ruins and driven back into Russia...and the Little Dictator gets even more red-faced...

13 ( +17 / -4 )

At least 90% of residents would vote to join Russia.

How could you possibly know this?

14 ( +17 / -3 )

@Awa No Gaijin "It's just the excuse that putin needs to officially declare war with Ukraine." You make it sound like the Ukrainian soldiers didn't have the right to take back territory taken from them. "Just the excuse"... are you rooting for the Russians? Oh... I get it you're afraid that Putin will declare a fully committed war on Ukraine. Putin can barely get his reserve soldiers to go once they were called up. And if he drops a Tactical Nuke, at that point both India and China would probably have to chance their stance and go against him. In addition... the rest of rest of the World would solidify against Russia. Don't worry about that "excuse" to declare war. If everybody thought like you the world would be run by Bullies.

14 ( +17 / -3 )

around 6 times the number of Russian soldiers are going to be unleashed.

"Around 6 times the number of untrained, unmotivated, poorly led, dad-bod conscripts will revolt or surrender thus straining the ability of the UA to deal with them humanely. "

Fixed it for you, Axel.

No thanks are necessary.

18 ( +20 / -2 )

What a stupid ridiculous unnecessary conflict .

agree ! but it was started by your hero Putin, so you might want to tell him that.

This is hilarious.

what’s hilarious is your desperate pathetic attempt to make another defeat into an ‘act of goodwill’ withdrawal.

refresher training is completed, around 6 times the number of Russian soldiers are going to be unleashed.

actually this also is hilarious. So After only 6 weeks of training, these unwilling unmotivated conscripts will be become fearsome soldiers ? Let me fix your statement for you;

around 6 times the number of Russian soldiers are going to unleashed to be slaughtered or surrender

@nemo, you beat me to it

I will check back with you in 6 weeks.

he’ll be gone by then

13 ( +15 / -2 )

which is not uncommon in individuals who've abused anabolic steroids.

Now how would you if he abused them?

Looking at pictures of the oligarchs who surround him it looks like many of them have also done the Russian thing and used steroids themselves.

Again, how exactly would you know this?

-14 ( +3 / -17 )

Putin is desperate and this war has much more consequences than what he expected, if he were a rational person this would mean a resolution soon, but Putin being the egomaniac he has always been this may mean disaster, either for him personally when Russians react, or to the world if he is left to react with nuclear weapons.

10 ( +12 / -2 )

@fizz

Ukraine, a very corrupt nation,

unlike Russia right

and it’s full territory less than one hundred years old, is not worth a world war.

yet, here you are cheering on Russia’s invasion

At least 90% of residents would vote to join Russia.

& 100% of them are welcome to move to Russia

15 ( +18 / -3 )

It's just the excuse that putin needs to officially declare war with Ukraine.

As defending Russian territory isn't a special military operation.

Yup, fiddling with the formalities of what to call their invasion is about as competent a response as one could expect from the Kremlin to yet another Ukrainian victory on the battlefield.

8 ( +9 / -1 )

Biden say no to Ukraine NATO aspiration, but do not keep Ukraine NATO delusional to sleep

-18 ( +2 / -20 )

And you believed them?

This is hilarious. Russian experts on Telegram have been saying for weeks the town, Krasny Lyman (Red Lyman due to the now deserted town being a communist stronghold) is completely irrelevant and the only reason to keep it is because it's occupation would be trumpeted by MSM. They were saying to let MSM go for it's life because they plan on winning the war, not the propaganda campaign.

9 ( +10 / -1 )

Expect even more bombast, pomposity, and bluster...as his Army is left in ruins and driven back into Russia...and the Little Dictator gets even more red-faced...

Want to make some of the easiest money ever on offer? US$1000~2000 a day + bonuses! After all, the Rusian army is weak and all it does is retreat.

https://silentprofessionals.org/jobs/extraction-protective-agents-ukraine/

What do you think the bonuses are? Someone speculated it was a bonus of US$2000 a day from every day survived at the front to be paid to the contracted at the end of the 30 day contract period. i.e. no bonus.

They are saying 90% of the several 1000 American mercenaries who have been in the country more than a few days, i.e. enough time to get to the front, have been killed or captured. And the Russians have categorically and openly stated mercenaries are not subject to the Geneva Convention. I bet those American mercenaries who were captured, not killed, wish they were killed right about now.

-23 ( +2 / -25 )

And you believed them?

Of course i did. If the town was important, it would have been reinforced.

-23 ( +3 / -26 )

And the Russians have categorically and openly stated mercenaries are not subject to the Geneva Convention. I bet those American mercenaries who were captured, not killed, wish they were killed right about now.

I think it’s a little late for Russia supporters to start quoting the Geneva Convention.

16 ( +18 / -2 )

@Axel

MSM?

Your comment makes no sense as the story doesn't use MSM for anything and you don't supply your meaning of MSM.

As far as I know MSM (Methylsulfonylmethane) is a drug used for treating arthritis or MSM group in Russia is for performers.

when the mud becomes hard due to the cold and refresher training is completed, around 6 times the number of Russian soldiers are going to be unleashed.

Are you refering to the people that have been called up in Russia's draft? The same one where people protested over in Russia? Yea don't be surprised if they surrender at every possible chance they get. They don't want to be there.

BTW does anyone have any idea who blew up the pipelines?

No idea and to be honest it is Russia's pipe and they should clean up the mess this is the kind of side smacking you get when you instigate an illegal war. Hopefully it will inspire groups to perform other types of attacks on Russian assets.

15 ( +16 / -1 )

Want to make some of the easiest money ever on offer? US$1000~2000 a day + bonuses! After all, the Rusian army is weak and all it does is retreat.

This reminds me of someone else who will grab onto a small snippet with a death grip and state it over and over to avoid defending an obviously false narrative.

7 ( +8 / -1 )

The world needs to make Russia understand that ANY nuclear attack would result on boots on the ground of the world in Ukraine, and Russia being pushed out of any and all territory, even that they stole a decade ago. If they were to wage another such attack, it should be met in kind with nuclear attacks on Russia, staring with the Kremlin.

15 ( +16 / -1 )

actually this also is hilarious. So After only 6 weeks of training, these unwilling unmotivated conscripts will be become fearsome soldiers ? Let me fix your statement for you;

Actually, I'm wrong. Only 3 times the number of Russia soldiers will arrive. Because the Donbass militia is now officially part of the Russian army.

The parallels with the war are uncanny. The area was a hotbed of furious anti fascist partizan warfare. The partizans didn't just conduct hit and run operations but occupied whole cities and whole regions forcing the fascists to divert whole dvisions from the front to re-occupy the cities and regions. When the Red Army arrived, the partizans were absorbed into it.

around 6 times the number of Russian soldiers are going to unleashed to be slaughtered or surrender

You probably already know this but I'm going to remind you just because I'm mean and don't like fascist lackeys.

Even a pro-fascist publication as staunch as the NY Times is saying the Russian tactic of not advancing due to not wanting losses and due to the fascists being slaughtered in frightening numbers in attacks is proving very effective.

-20 ( +3 / -23 )

Actually, I'm wrong. Only 3 times the number of Russia soldiers will arrive. Because the Donbass militia is now officially part of the Russian army.

So Russia are now killing their own army and citizens? That can’t be good.

6 ( +9 / -3 )

They are saying 90% of the several 1000 American mercenaries who have been in the country more than a few days, i.e. enough time to get to the front, have been killed or captured. No better example of the utter manufactured delusion Putin and his far-right supporters are living in...

You can't call it a Potemkin Village - it goes far beyond that - into some kind of alternate reality where defeat is interpreted as victory...

To these folks, the Moskva was never sunk and is making port calls around Russia today...

This never-never land reminds me of a certain former reality TV host and his fairy tale world of a rigged election...

8 ( +11 / -3 )

@James

MSM = mainstream media. "Corporate media" is more accurate but MSM is used more often.

-17 ( +3 / -20 )

You are assuming that the leadership is competent. It's not looking that way to most people. I'm sure you have the real story though...

And you believed them?

Of course i did. If the town was important, it would have been reinforced.

7 ( +8 / -1 )

This reminds me of someone else who will grab onto a small snippet with a death grip and state it over and over to avoid defending an obviously false narrative.

What is false? Is the website fake? That's one of many. Others are being shown on Telegram. They aren't mentioning bonuses but a flat rate of US$2000 a day. MSM has also reported on it. They are saying the market has gone into overdrive and this is around 10x what mercenaries are usually paid.

If they are paid at the end of the 30day contract period, they aren't paid because they are dead or captured (and dead as soon as they have offered any useful info. (-:)

-23 ( +2 / -25 )

or if they’re just trolling.

I hope trolling.

I did not yet give up hope in humanity, and I absolutely can not believe that, even after regular nuclear weapon threads by the Russian side, there are still people around who defend and support Russia.

Even people, who are completely blind to reality or brainwashed or whatever...even these people should finally woke up now and see in which direction this insane Russian mass murdering mob is drawing the world.

Nobody can be so blind and So stupid and do not see in which direction this is going.

If these Russian insane idiots will not be stopped immediately, the world will be drawn in the biggest disaster we have ever seen.

An atomic nuclear conflict.

So it is absolutely necessay and absolutely necessary right now, to bring these Russian insane, full of madness as...les to fall.

13 ( +14 / -1 )

But even trolling according this very very serious topic, is already a crime!

9 ( +11 / -2 )

Thanks Axel, would have been easier to have mentioned it in your comment. My poor little brain was muddled because it isn't a popular acronym according to google.

I guess that kind of reflects on your arguments for Russia... Unpopular and not worth reading.

15 ( +16 / -1 )

China must be watching Russia and Israel Annexation of land and property and thinking if they can get away with it why can't we??

China is about to take action on Taiwan just waiting for the right time and conditions.

5 ( +7 / -2 )

Keep going, brave Ukrainians. Send those Russian cowards back where they belong.

12 ( +14 / -2 )

Anyway, Russia has already annexed the liberated territories, Ukraine has lost this war, it is better that they make negotiations with Russia, NATO circus is impotent and the US will only continue wasting millions of dollars in this lost cause..

-20 ( +2 / -22 )

With the referendum and the annexation ceremony, the war seems to be going according to Putin's master plan. No Russian has died in this conflict. Putin is pretending to be ruining his countries economy and his military's reputation for most of the year; however, this 4-D chess master will spring his trap, and it will be over in an instance.

Putin's international allies and fellow country men will sing his praises and grovel at his feet, so King trump will get re-installed to reverse all of the sanctions and to continue to destroy the US through corruption, incompetence, and ego.

Putin will be sending out portraits of himself shirtless, wrestling a bear while riding a Siberian tiger surrounded by a pack of wolves all howling in unison by Christmas.

12 ( +12 / -0 )

Congratulations to the Ukrainian fighting forces, keep going, God Bless.

12 ( +13 / -1 )

Anyway, Russia has already annexed the liberated territories, Ukraine has lost this war, it is better that they make negotiations with Russia, NATO circus is impotent and the US will only continue wasting millions of dollars in this lost cause..

Anyway, precisely none of that is true.

12 ( +13 / -1 )

I think that the West should be offering permanent asylum, passports, jobs, immediate family etc to any Russian soldier in Ukraine who is captured or surrenders. Put it on MSM and social media and show how those being captured are being treated like kings.

9 ( +9 / -0 )

What is false? Is the website fake?

What's false is your claim that it's a site recruiting American mercenaries to fight Ruzzians.

It's been pointed out before,; the site is recruiting people to conduct rescue operations - extraction / evacuation operations of individuals and families throughout the countryside and major cities of Ukraine.

No mention at all of fighting anyone, though as you'd expect applicants need to have the military experience and know-how necessary to operate in an active war zone.

And rather than being aimed at money-hungry American mercenaries, it states clearly that the people it wants are already in the area, adept in conducting rescue operations, and speak Russian, Ukrainian, Polish, Slovak, Hungarian, Romanian, and/or Moldovan.

12 ( +14 / -2 )

The US and Europe will in turn be left devastated with China in the aftermath then stepping in and taking everything it wants without losing anything and becoming the next world power, which is exactly what they want. Brilliant!!!

-10 ( +1 / -11 )

Can we all throw in a few dollars and buy Axel a dictionary. He seems very confused about the word Fascist.

hehe, I think he’s using a Russian dictionary

14 ( +14 / -0 )

I’m curious if this is the first example in history of a dictator annexing territory as his armies were in the middle of retreating from them.

Also, this may have set a new record for the shortest time a city lasted under the control of a country that was claiming it as its own.

Bunch of new records being set here I think.

13 ( +13 / -0 )

Ukraine and its Western allies branded Russia's move as illegal. Kyiv vowed to continue liberating its land of Russian forces and said it would not hold peace talks with Moscow while Putin remained president.

Good.

14 ( +14 / -0 )

Has anyone listened to Putins speech or read the transcript from 2 days ago? I haven't seen even the most fanatical anti-Russian freak claim anything he said is false.

What was particularly Interesting was his claim, referencing the pipeline, that faced with collapsing hegemony Western powers are now turning on each other.

Japan was also referenced twice. Once regarding those particularly heinous war crimes committed in 広島 and 長崎 and once when he stated the obvious that Japan is an occupied country.

-16 ( +2 / -18 )

Anyway, Russia has already annexed the liberated territories, Ukraine has lost this war, it is better that they make negotiations with Russia,

So they should just surrender their sovereign nation because Vlad is having a Peter the Great mental visionary moment? Why on earth would they do that? If it were the opposite flip mode, do you think Russia would give up?

NATO circus is impotent and the US will only continue wasting millions of dollars in this lost cause..

To a certain degree that is true, but still, it doesn’t justify Russia annexing a sovereign independent nation. This will only last for so long.

5 ( +7 / -2 )

How is this all going to end ? Putin keeps going and going and sanctions aren’t stopping them .

-13 ( +0 / -13 )

The longer the war goes on, the more land Ukraine will lose. Simple as that. Putin said in his speech he is open to negotiations but returning the 4 oblasts is off the table. No negotiations possible.

-21 ( +0 / -21 )

The longer the war goes on, the more land Ukraine will lose. Simple as that. Putin said in his speech he is open to negotiations but returning the 4 oblasts is off the table. No negotiations possible.

And Ukraine has stated that it will take all of its territory back. No negotiations necessary.

14 ( +15 / -1 )

The Majority of Russian support Putin. Their meaning of words differ from the leftist wests. Take the word Nazi which to the Russian includes sexually abnormal genders, In the west it is a group of white supremaces. Gay and alike are not seen as equals by the majority of Russian. like over 75%. They have Putin telling them, these Nazi want to change Russian values. I remember when I was 18 when AID and homosexuality and how it was reported at that time in history and the back lash in western society it cause. Even today in Russia the majority think AID is a gay decease. What we are are witnessing in the media is the same size and same resisting protest to Melbourne to objection to mask laws. Look really bad and seem that most Australians supported the protests but it was a very small percent. So when Putin rev up the population with words like Nazi, this come over to the masses as all the indecency and proclivity values of the west and tell them they want your country and change your normal orthodox Christian life and values. The masses will defend for their lives. So what is the west getting out this war? a quicker end to fossil fuel cars.

-19 ( +2 / -21 )

The longer the war goes on, the more land Ukraine will lose. Simple as that. Putin said in his speech he is open to negotiations but returning the 4 oblasts is off the table. No negotiations possible.

Except the Moscow midget and his band of drunken fools are retreating and Ukraine is moving forward.

Ukraine doesn’t need to negotiate over the return of its own land. It’s taking it back.

Simple as that.

15 ( +15 / -0 )

The longer the war goes on, the more land Ukraine will lose.

You should take a look at a map. The part Russia controls is the one getting smaller as time goes past, not the other way around.

Putin said in his speech he is open to negotiations but returning the 4 oblasts is off the table. No negotiations possible.

Yes, the Ukrainians agree on that: no negotiations possible. If the Russians don’t leave those 4 oblasts of their own accord, the Ukrainian army will show them the door.

12 ( +12 / -0 )

false - wishful thinking

So you are one of those people who believe the Russians blew up their own pipeline? German officials have publicly rejected that theory out of hand.

-17 ( +0 / -17 )

How is this all going to end ?

russian forces will be kicked out of Ukraine, all territories illegally taken will be returned, & Putin will either disappear or become ‘ill’.

11 ( +13 / -2 )

Putin keeps going and going and sanctions aren’t stopping them .

Its OK, his armies are only capable of going in reverse now.

14 ( +14 / -0 )

Putin is the aggressor and invader and is now the land thief and bully in the schoolyard. An evil man harming his own country. Lying to his troops and people.

Friday, the Russians blindfolded the head of the Zaporizhzhia NPP and took him away. Believed to have been taken to a prison facility in Enerhodar.

Ukraine's state nuclear regulator Enerhoatom says.

It says Ihor Murashov was held as his car was on its way from the facility to the nearby town of Enerhodar at about 16:00 local time (13:00 GMT) on Friday.

12 ( +12 / -0 )

When asked about the pipeline Biden, or Biden's handlers, didn't deny USA did it. He said, 'don't believe what Putin says' but didn't deny USA was responsible.

I think even the present ultra brokeback regime of Germany won't accept this.

-18 ( +1 / -19 )

a) Pressure is growing on Putin to use nuclear weapons on the battlefield (!)

*b) “ Putin said last week that he was not bluffing when he said he was prepared to defend Russia's "territorial integrity" with all available means, “ ( he’s not bluffing and you all know that )*

..

this isn’t looking good (!)

"NATO circus is impotent..."

Quick, get on the first planes to Stockholm and Helsinki and tell their respective leaders they're making a grave mistake!

I'm starting to enjoy reading the comments from the pro-Putin camp -- for the comedic effect.

11 ( +11 / -0 )

Quick, get on the first planes to Stockholm and Helsinki and tell their respective leaders they're making a grave mistake!

In Sweden they won't allow a referendum on the question. Why do you think that is?

-12 ( +0 / -12 )

The world should force China to show its position clearly on the annexation issue by forcing a vote in the Permanent Security Council. If China continues to muddle though, Taiwan should simply declare independence and be part of a reformed UN -- getting rid of Russia and China first.

9 ( +9 / -0 )

I think if Russia uses one nuke, depending on the yield Russia will be invaded by NATO and every other nation that does not want to engage in nuclear WW3. Russia's army will be decimated so they can't wage war any time in the for-seeable future. The best way to stop the war is to eliminate the enemy's ability to wage war.

Nukes start going off, and humanity will no longer have a bright future ahead of us.

Hopefully Russia's generals won't even bother to enact such an order.

Even in the US generals will try and dissuade any POTUS from using nukes until it really is the FINAL option in RESPONSE to a nuclear attack.

Putin is INITIATING a nuclear attack. Not responding to one.

8 ( +9 / -1 )

russian forces will be kicked out of Ukraine, all territories illegally taken will be returned, & Putin will either disappear or become ‘ill’.

Even Putin’s BRICS counterparts have said that after all this is over, all regions occupied by Russia must be returned to pre Feb 24th status. Putin’s backed himself into a corner on this. He’s done, and even if he orders a nuke, wiser people in Russia don’t want to be obliterated.

9 ( +9 / -0 )

I am sure that if Ukraine starts re-arming up with nukes, Putin might think again. Ukraine's president may want to start talking with France and other nearby nuclear powers to send them a few missiles to use.

Ukraine gave up it's nukes in the past. If they get them back with the current situation, it will be even worse for Russia because Ukraine can retaliate with a vengeance.

5 ( +5 / -0 )

xin xin - I tend to agree. People often say the UN is weak and never does or can’t do anything. It’s true, but a chain is only as strong as its weakest link. The veto power given to certain nations is the weak link.

your answer is "leave it to the Europeans" to deal with.

8 ( +9 / -1 )

Yes, we already know this and so now what is the solution to reversing this egregious incursion?

The solution is to keep pushing on. Even with the threat of nukes. The moment that threat is allowed to succeed and the fight back is stopped, that is the moment authoritarian dictators worldwide will believe they can just walk in anywhere and take what they want.

The Majority of Russian support Putin.

would that majority include the 100’s of 1000’s who have left or are leaving the country ?

what about the 300,00 men who were forced into the armed services, & were told that most will not return ?

& what about the 1000’s of families who have lost fathers, sons & brothers ?

are all these included in the majority ?

A stunning act of Eco-terrorism. Dumped approx the same amount of air pollution into the atmosphere as 5.1 million cars in the US (i.e. twice as much as 5.1mil Japanese cars and 33% more than 5.1 million European cars.) annually.

But how many Ladas?

Pressure in one of the pipelines was normalized and stopped leaking gas. There is no evidence of which country or group is responsible for the pipeline attacks.

8 ( +9 / -1 )

You might want to wait for an investigation before pointing any fingers. None of the accusations make really sense (including that Russia or the US did it).

When asked about the pipeline Biden, or Biden's handlers, didn't deny USA did it. He said, 'don't believe what Putin says' but didn't deny USA was responsible.

I think even the present ultra brokeback regime of Germany won't accept this.

At least 90% of residents would vote to join Russia.

How could you possibly know this?

It's obvious, the only kind of referendum the pro-putler lobby understands is the kind that has the result determined before any 'voting' takes place.

Ordinarily, you’d ask for a source for this, but the poster has moved on to a closeted gay Nazi in the 1930s to prove a point.

Sometimes it’s not worth bothering.

Exactly!

Pressure in one of the pipelines was normalized and stopped leaking gas. There is no evidence of which country or group is responsible for the pipeline attacks.

No evidence, that’s true, but I just don’t think Russia did this, just odd…on the other hand, but again…

Biden: "If Russia invades...then there will be no longer a Nord Stream 2."

Reporter: "But how will you do that, it's in Germany's control?"

Biden: "I promise you, we will be able to do that."

Jus sayin’

I have no doubt that over time you'll develop the belief that Biden Did It as it will be politically beneficial for you to believe so, and that's the most important thing.

Your sources are constructing a conspiracy theory to aid you in this right now, so just hold on for a few more days.

9 ( +10 / -1 )

So who blew up the pipeline?

Why would the US blowing up the pipeline be a dumb idea?

-4 ( +4 / -8 )

He never gave any explanation that he “wasn’t” going to do it.

Hey, I’m just going by this administration and their history of lies and deflections, pardon me for calling me a tad bit skeptical….

Your sources are constructing

Not my sources, I’m going by his history with the facts or lack thereof as well as his lack of transparency.

He never gave any explanation that he “wasn’t” going to do it.

The ultimate in deflection.

”I asked him how many aliens were living under the child pedo pizza place and he just looked at me like I was insane! But he never denied it.”

Quite possibly because the premise of the question is so bat-feces crazy as to not merit a response?

8 ( +10 / -2 )

think if Russia uses one nuke, depending on the yield Russia will be invaded by NATO

i doubt that nato will invade Russia, because that is exactly what Putin wants & would give credit to his crazy theories.

However, I do think nato forces will enter Ukraine to kick all the Russian forces out, & they will destroy all vital military targets inside Russia, using conventional weapons.

& you can say goodbye to Russia’s Black Sea fleet.

It stretches credulity beyond the breaking point to read any connection to the explosions in there, he was clearly referring to getting Germany to make the political decision to not approve the pipeline’s opening.

Which is exactly what happened shortly thereafter BTW.

Russia abandons key bastion; Chechnya's leader urges Putin to conduct nuclear strike after Lyman defeat:

Chechnya has been a strong Russian ally in Ukraine war.

Now, in time of retreat, the leader wants Putin to be more assertive to nuke the war to regain advance & advantage..

You mean Biden didn't explicitly say, "Im not going to blow up the pipeline" last February? And this somehow hints at his guilt?

Nope, he never said that.

**Reporter**: "But how will you do that, it's in Germany's control?"**

**Biden**: "I promise you, we will be able to do that."

Ok, and what is in that promise and can you unequivocally say that you didn’t?

Can we find any other things that have blown up

Geopolitical politics

A bit rich you talking about a history of lies and deflections.

No, the majority of the country thinks the same. I don’t care what Biden said, I deeply care about what he didn’t say.

-15 ( +0 / -15 )

Anyway whoever did it, I guess that leverage of Russia over EU is gone now, at least for the shorterm

-1 ( +2 / -3 )

There ‘a an interesting twist to the Russian mobilization. From Perun podcast, Russian reservists (and non-reservists) being called up now cannot by Russian law be deployed outside Russia. Annexation of eastern Ukraine solves that problem.

@ian

my comment was in response to a nuclear attack by Russia on Ukraine. If putin foolishly decides to use even a tactical nuclear weapon, nato won’t sit on their hands & let him get away with it. Nato will intervene & kick Russian forces out in a few weeks. Otherwise, Ukraine alone, will do so similarly but it will take longer.

Putin & any other crazy leader (Kim) need to know there will be severe consequences for any use of any nuclear device.

7 ( +7 / -0 )

You could have said that to the 1st question

-12 ( +0 / -12 )

Now, in time of retreat, the leader wants Putin to be more assertive to nuke the war to regain advance & advantage

if kadrov & his self proclaimed ‘fearless warriors’ weren’t too busy making TikTok videos miles away from the action, his words might have some credence.

Not to mention many of these .brave TikTok warriors are back in Chechnya rounding up the poor local men, at gunpoint, so as to fill their conscription quotas

It takes months/years to organise arrange legitimierte referenda, the proposed question, eligibility to vote, registration of the vote public, polling criteria, independent over of the vote.

Of course a bogus vote takes just days and week, down the barrel of a guns.

And now more threats nuclear retaliation?

Axel

This is hilarious. Russian experts on Telegram have been saying for weeks the town, Krasny Lyman (Red Lyman due to the now deserted town being a communist stronghold) is completely irrelevant and the only reason to keep it is because it's occupation would be trumpeted by MSM. They were saying to let MSM go for it's life because they plan on winning the war, not the propaganda campaign.

You can always find a lot of copium on Russian Telegram.

It isn't completely irrelevant, and Russia manning it with ~3000 troops confirms that. It is a major supply hub that has now been cut of.

Anyway, Russia has already annexed the liberated territories, Ukraine has lost this war, it is better that they make negotiations with Russia, NATO circus is impotent and the US will only continue wasting millions of dollars in this lost cause..

If you think winning key territory as being a lost cause, sure. Did you even read the article?

"In my personal opinion, more drastic measures should be taken, right up to the declaration of martial law in the border areas and the use of low-yield nuclear weapons," Kadyrov wrote on Telegram before Zelenskiy spoke.

It works both ways, fools.
