Sensible defensive stuff because these two countries, in geographical proximity, face the most violent and aggressive racketeering cartel in human history - NATO and all their satellites.

Beijing knows if it stands by (or kowtows to this cabal) while a strategic defeat is inflicted on Russia, they will be next in the crosshairs. Putin doesn't have to remind them of that.

over 400 warships, submarines and support vessels, more than 120 planes and helicopters and over 90,000 troops, the Russian Defense Ministry said in a statement.

We were assured that the entire Russian navy was at the bottom of the Black Sea.

Two possibilities:

1: They magically resurfaced

2: The western media lied

Take your pick.

The largest international naval drill in 30 years.

But no Blocs because that would be unethical.

Just the ones in the Black Sea. The international component to Russia's war is still to come.

Nothing new in the past 70 years except NK developing nukes.

Peking knows that Europe is a business partner and Russia's faceplants and humiliations there are of no consequence to it.

Brazenly assert the past 70 years have seen no Washington/NATO/satellite aggression.

Now that takes the cake.

Beijing knows the truth and it knows Europe needs Chinese markets more than it needs European markets - because European consumers will be demanding the most efficient and cost-effective product as the EU industrial stagnation and economic decline accelerate, especially now that the competitive advantage of cheap and plentiful Russian energy and resources that Europe/Germany once enjoyed, has been transferred to it. In other words, Beijing knows it is in the driving seat in this department.

Beijing also sees eye to eye with Moscow on the necessity of neutralizing upstart proxy regimes. Their peace plan is a sensible document grounded in reality.

I'm sure our Putin-boosters here will tell us that the Moskva, Rostov-on-Don, and Minsk are all participating...

Peking is not ready to start ww3 by trying to eliminate free countries like Russia.

Their peace plan is a complete fluff piece so, yeah, it can fit with anything.

@Eastman

Just as Germany and Italy banded together in the 1930s in support of each other’s land grabs, so are the Russians and Chinese behaving similarly.

History is repeating itself.

Free countries like Ukraine. They'd being doing the world a favor by eliminating a dictatorship like Russia.

everyone who supplies weapons to Ukraine will be taken under control by the strategic forces of the Russian Federation.

This is wonderful news. The Chinese Navy the US cries has the largest maritime force by the number of warships but we still have the largest tonnage.

This will get the US to get Japan to buy more hardware. Win for the US. That's how biggers nations keep smaller nations down.

The far right supports Putin, Xi, and Kim. That's because they want Trump to be like them. That I understand. What I don't understand is why these people consider themselves patriots. The American way seems to be something they want to get rid of. I'll never understand why. Except that Trump will be like Putin, Xi, and Kim and they want him to be.

Russia’s Defense Minister Andrei Belousov said the drills are aimed to train “repelling large-scale aggression of a potential enemy from ocean directions, combating unmanned boats, unmanned aerial vehicles, defending naval bases, conducting amphibious operations and escorting transports.”

And to aim at working towards a bi-polar instead of a unipolar world. When there is only one superpower, the rest of the countries have no choice but to conduct trade in one currency and to follow along the US military adventures. In a bi-polar world, countries have a choice. Now that's democracy.

Many nations welcome the new bipolar era with the emergence of the Sino-Russian Military Cooperation to keep the US and the West in check. In return the West can also keep China and Russia in check by having smaller nations like Japan and Philippines contribute to the purchase of weapons and hardware as well as hosting military bases and sending forces to regions of conflicts.

This system of checks and balances where Sino-Russian relations and the West keep each other honest is the hallmark of peace.

I'm glad you acknowledge that there is not much point in China bringing its pets along.
