I stated how the Ukrainian offensives in the Kherson region were being beaten back with frightening losses to men and (NATO) machinery.

Yesterday the number #2 guy in the regime (I mean, the #2 Ukrainian) said the same thing and that all the talk about withdrawing from Kherson city was a ruse draw Ukrainian into attacking.

On a brighter note, 3 mercenaries "from western countries" was all they would say, turned up in Grozny as guests of Kadyrov. They didn't look very happy but only spoke enough to acknowledge that as mercenaries, they aren't subject to the Geneva Convention.

The so-called second best army in the world is only the second best army in Ukraine.

The difference between the two armies is that one is fighting for their freedom, the other is being forced to fight.

Russia is in no rush, but Ukraine has been rapidly depleting itself of men and weapons. Russia will have no problem retaking the few towns they recently lost.

-22 ( +8 / -30 )

It seems Putin table has shrunk. Perhaps it was cut for firewood to heat the Kremlin?

19 ( +23 / -4 )

How long before those conscript desert their posts and the fighting? Some regular units have shot dead their commanders.

The so-called second best army in the world is only the second best army in Ukraine.

Which is the so-called "best army"?

-11 ( +7 / -18 )

"The task set by you of (mobilizing) 300,000 people has been completed. No further measures are planned,"

A bluff. The Kremlin won't be able to stop mobilizing people for whatever reason, until its own full surrender.

For Russian expats or dodgers in exile overseas, don't return home yet.

16 ( +20 / -4 )

How long before those conscript desert their posts and the fighting?

Not too long now that winter is around the corner. Life in freezing cold foxholes on foreign soil with little food and proper clothing tends to be vey demoralizing.

18 ( +21 / -3 )

How long before those conscript desert their posts and the fighting?

They have been deserting in droves for months. Many have joined the Russian side but most just want to stay in Russia until the fighting is over.

Any place east of the Dnieper and along the Black Sea coast until Romania is hostile land for anyone opposing the Russians.

Mini-me's forced recruitment drive has been a disaster.

Russians are running away to escape recruitment to a war they have no intent on joining - and the rabble that got recruited have proven to be typical Russian cowards on the battle front.

7 ( +13 / -6 )

Putin's speech the other day and 2 hours of taking questions was very good. Except the part where he pandered to western audiences by denouncing the Bolsheviks for creating a Ukrainian state. Anything Lenin supported cannot have been mistake! Simple as that. May be it was Lenin's plan to demilitarize the fascist regimes in the Ukraine before liberating all of Europe. Which is exactly what graffiti at Red Army monuments in Germany are asking for. This war seems to have really exacerbated divisions between east and west Germany. Ossies are all over social media denouncing Wessies and not being German but American poodles. Hard to argue with that.

-11 ( +5 / -16 )

Mr. Putin go ahead and declare “you won the war” and take your troops back to Russia!

6 ( +10 / -4 )

Grabbing people in front of supermarkets.

Breaking down doors to serve "enlistment".

Recruiting rapists, murderers, and others from prison.

Using ethnic minorities as cannon fooder.

That's how Putin's mobilization looks like.

Running out of regular troops and military hardware he uses his last options.

Won't help, Ukraine will prevail!

10 ( +16 / -6 )

Goodness help the poor draftee who comes from a poor region and cannot afford to buy his own cold weather clothes, flak jacket, sleeping bag, medical kit, etc., the things that the mighty Red Army is telling these draftees they must provide on their own because their mighty army cannot afford to do so.

Business is booming. Dollar all time highs against other currencies

Except the Russian ruble.

-4 ( +6 / -10 )

You know, if Russia continues falling on its face as it has been in Ukraine, who’s to say China won’t march its army to the north and grab a sizable chunk of Siberia? Putin, if he has any brains, has to be looking over both of his shoulders, right?

4 ( +8 / -4 )

Putin's invasion goes into reverse: 'Severely undermanned and poorly trained' Russian units are forced onto the defensive across the front line in Ukraine.

5 ( +9 / -4 )

The mobilization has ended because puny Putin dare not push the recruitment envelope any further. The Russian menfolk are very, very unhappy with Putin's idea of patriotism, like dying for his glorious ego and illustrious place in history.

On a brighter note, 3 mercenaries "from western countries" was all they would say, turned up in Grozny as guests of Kadyrov. They didn't look very happy...

Well, nobody would be "happy" to become a guest of that nauseous, bearded "Mother of All Mercenaries", Kadyrov. Btw, your unfunny gallows humor is surely out of place when mentioning their "host", that cruel and bestial, blood-soaked Chechen psychopath who already has a seat reserved in Hell.

11 ( +15 / -4 )

The russian gaggle of rapists, paedophiles and murderers passing its self off as an army are doing what it does best, looting anything it can lay its hands on preparatory to scuttling off.

Seeing ordinary Ukrainians having so much and such advanced technology like washing machines must be a shock and inflame their natural russian reaction, not to emulate or work to create a better world for them selves but to just steal what others have.

poo tin and the elite are throwing untrained, unfit unwilling conscripts in to the front line in a desperate attempt to prop up their failing colonialist land grab war, cannon fodder to be slaughtered for poo tins ego, they add little to the combat effectiveness save to absorb Ukrainian ammunition.

12 ( +16 / -4 )

Well, as mentioned, I guess he's emptied out all the prisons and there's no convicts left....I'm surprised we haven't seen Brittany Griner with an AK47 posted on the front lines...

And really, what's with all these long tables and people sitting 10 feet away from him - is it a fear of COVID or maybe that one of his trusted cronies will throw a knife into him?

Either way, it just confirms he is the weak, scared, little man we've always known he was...

13 ( +15 / -2 )

Sven,

sorry (not) but those Russians have not liberated anything.

They are occupying those territories, or as others like to say:

TOT = temporarily occupied terrirtories. (stress is on temporarily!!!)

Besides, fascists? The ones who invaded a sovereign state are fascists!

10 ( +12 / -2 )

This is a trick to get Russian men to return ... then Putin will announce that their names were already drafted, pick them up as they return and ship them to training.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oUkgTXJE7tg How to call the "I Want to Live" surrender hotline for Russian soldiers.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vcJV30Fqb9s Russian soldiers with a tank surrender.

Native speakers of Russian can tell if there are Ukrainian accents by the people surrendering.

Let the Russian military ship you outside Russia controlled areas to freedom.

4 ( +6 / -2 )

Sven is Trump and Putin lover.

10 ( +13 / -3 )

What's up with Putin and weird, long tables?

2 ( +6 / -4 )

Kyiv says the strikes intended to freeze Ukrainians in winter are an intentional war crime.

EU did the same to its 550 million citizens via sanctions, is that also an international war crime?

-10 ( +3 / -13 )

You are apparently more convinced than even the Russian public, who has no access to any narrative besides the Kremlin's. Better tell the hundreds of thousands of fleeing Russians that things are going merrily, and they can go back to their homes and families.

Speaking for myself, I don't have military training, can't speak Russian and unlike the other side, the Russians aren't paying mercenaries US$2000.00 a day plus bonuses and finally, the Russians don't need the help. They have liberated 20% of a very large and very heavily armed European country with a glorified expeditionary force. Now another 300K are set to join them with still, the main bulk of the forces held in the rear in case NATO wants to get directly involved.

It's just a question of where they will liberate next. Odessa due to it's cultural and economic importance for the Ukraine? Kharkov for cultural reasons and because of the large population the fascists are holding hostage? Dnipepetropavlovsk for cultural reasons and to straighten the front line? I doubt the last of those. The long front is more a problem for the fascists who are on hostile land. Go down from White Russia and liberate the Polish border region? Go down from White Russia into Kiev to unseat the government? Doubt that too. Political power in Ukraine is held in Berlin, Brussels and Washington, not Kiev.

RT should be banned when it’s staff are calling for Ukrainian children to be drowned.

11 ( +14 / -3 )

Yesterday in Prague there was the biggest protest in over 30years. Protestors calling on the government to stand down, Czechia's withdrawal from NATO and friendly relations with Russia.

This is happening all over Europe. 2 days it was Romania. Last weekend Germany and France. The NATO goon squad better pull back from its N@zi lackeys in Ukranian or the lose its goon squad ruling out any more carpet bombing campaigns against Afghan farmers, Iraqi oil workers, Libyan shepards and etc.

many and France. The NATO goon squad better pull back from its N@zi lackeys in Ukranian or the lose its goon squad ruling out any more carpet bombing campaigns against Afghan farmers, Iraqi oil workers, Libyan shepards and etc.

NATO goons? Ukrainian Nazis? weep deeply. No one believes this garbage. Each and every day brings yet more death and carnage to the fascist invaders.

10 ( +13 / -3 )

Let's not forget that in a frustrated fit of pique @Rodney asked for Kyiv to be wiped from the map after the bridge attack. Drowning kids is just a part of the war for him.

11 ( +14 / -3 )

Mini-me putin can't even hold a pen without shaking. LOL. What a weirdo and a coward.

5 ( +8 / -3 )

What's up with Putin and weird, long tables?

If the tables where shorter, this war would have been over long ago.

4 ( +6 / -2 )

What's up with Putin and weird, long tables?

Analagous to “big cars, small …”.

Did I hear RT News referred to as a reliable source? Hahahahahahahahahahaha, etc..

9 ( +11 / -2 )

Mordac

Yesterday in Prague there was the biggest protest in over 30years. Protestors calling on the government to stand down, Czechia's withdrawal from NATO and friendly relations with Russia.

They were also protesting membership of the EU, UN and WHO as well. You get weirdo protest groups in all countries.

7 ( +9 / -2 )

Did I hear RT News referred to as a reliable source?

Who would know? It's been banned in the 'free, democratic societies' of Europe and North America. Because speaking as a European, apparently we are just too stupid and impressionable to be allowed to hear/read the other sides opinion......

-12 ( +2 / -14 )

apparently we are just too stupid and impressionable to be allowed to hear/read the other sides opinion......

”The other sides opinion” being the one that recommended drowning kids and is unable to utter the word, “war” for fear of being imprisoned.

That ‘side’?

7 ( +9 / -2 )

Russia ends call up. It must be running out of 1960's weaponry which it arms them with before shuffeling them off to the front lines. Eighty two thousand already sent, the rest in training. More likely waiting on their personal equipment to arrive after purchasing online, so they can be deployed. Also it takes a few more weeks to train men on using the magnificent T-62 tanks and the T34-'s they are retrieving from deep storage.

Such a disgrace to see posters on this forum supporting the murdering invaders with no thought to the death and destruction they are wholly responsible for. Humanity has truly sunken to new lows in the modern times thanks to Putin and his supporters. These is no justification for such barbarity and no place for it in today's world. They must all be throwbacks to primitive man when killing others was just a daily occurrence of no significance. Sad.

5 ( +7 / -2 )

”The other sides opinion” being the one that recommended drowning kids and is unable to utter the word, “war” for fear of being imprisoned.

The guy said it on Russian language RT and was immediately fired. RT's been banned in the west for many months.

But why not let us see how bad it is for ourselves. Like you know, the Russians do?

If Ukraine does not surrender, it will have very unfortunate consequences, do it before it is too late..

Ukraine will never surrender, it has already faced the unfortunate consequences of Russia's invasion.

If Russia does not surrender it will have even more disastrous consequences for Putin and his circle of power in the Kremlin. Life and death consequences.

3 ( +5 / -2 )

If Ukraine does not surrender, it will have very unfortunate consequences, do it before it is too late..

If there was no coup, there would have been no conflict.

If the Ukraine obeyed the Minsk Accords signed off on with Russia, France and Germany, Donetsk and Luhansk would have remained Ukrainian Oblasts with just a little more autonomy.

If the Ukraine signed the peace deal early on in the conflict, it would have just lost Donetsk and Luhansk.

If the Ukraine signs a peace deal before the Russian offensive, probably only a week or two away depending on the weather, Ukraine might only lose Donstsk, Luhansk, Kherson and Zaporizhzhia.

-9 ( +1 / -10 )

But why not let us see how bad it is for ourselves. Like you know, the Russians do?

Bwaahaaha!

How much Ukrainian news do you think is freely broadcast in Russia? How much non-Kremlin approved western media?

But sure, it’s the west who you think have limited access to media.

Deluded and then some.

5 ( +6 / -1 )

Axel

If Ukraine does not surrender, it will have very unfortunate consequences, do it before it is too late..

If there was no coup, there would have been no conflict.

And yet there was no coup, and still Putin annexed Crimea.
