Yesterday's civilian death toll according to the article was 16.

It doesn’t say that.

But we have repeatedly been told that Russia was running out of missiles

Maybe Russia's missiles manufactured in Russia, but Russia's partners North Korea and Iran and who knows which other of Russias fellow totalitarian states have been backing their master, supplying more it weaponry. I think it has been reported Russia is using up lots of its own, instead of 'running out' Apparently Russia has used lots of missiles and other weapons to harm civilian populations, pleasing warmongering Russia-philes and others favoring Russia's brand of fascistic totalitarianism.

With no peace talks in sight, Ukrainian defense chiefs on Thursday predicted Russia would launch a new all-out offensive early next year that could include a second attempt to take Kyiv, which they tried and failed to capture early this year.

There's no 'peace talks' to even hold. Ukraine should never surrender; Russia is the aggressor here. The only solution is for Russia to withdraw and make amends for the mess they made.

All those missiles are a sign of desperation. Winter is approaching and it is harsh. Wait until the UN sanctions hit Russia and see if they do launch a new offensive in 2023. They thought they could take on Ukraine and have an easy war like Kazakhstan was, but they were wrong. This has already taken up more time, lives, resources, rubles than Moscow hoped or predicted. Sooner or later, it's going to get tedious and untenuable for them.

The Russian-installed governor of the region, Leonid Pasechnik, called the attack "barbaric".

Et tu? Look who's talking!

Yesterday's civilian death toll according to the article was 16.

75% of which was caused by Zelensky's forces.

Actually 100% was caused by Putin and his imperialist invasion.

Seems so long ago but don’t forget the lies and excuses Russia keep making for what became a full scale invasion attempt.

when you tell so many lies, you tend to get them mixed up. But that doesn’t worry The Russian fanboys here.

They are happy as long as they perceive the west is losing.

But we have repeatedly been told that Russia was running out of missiles

i only ever hear that from people like you.

It's telling that this was one of the biggest missile strikes, but seemingly had a minor impact. Putin is getting less bang for his buck now that Ukraine can better defend itself from these attacks. Not much he has left to resort to now.

3 ( +9 / -6 )

They can't keep saying that if the missiles did run out

Good to hear, is it true?

There’s a good article in Wapo dealing with the destruction as a unit of what was supposed to be one of the Russian Army’s best equipped and trained units.

Just stating the obvious, Russia is targeting the civilian population because it cannot hope to fight the UA.

If Ukraine is still standing come the spring, that’s likely it for the Russians. So the midget from Moscow is going back into the Russian playbook and pulling an Aleppo, just in a national basis.

There really should be a LOT of defendants with Russian names standing in The Hague when this is done.

The lack of visible depletion of missile stocks is indeed puzzling and concerning. I can think of 3 possible reasons:

The Russians have more stocks than predicted. This seems unlikely.

The Russians are going for broke and are willing to draw down stocks beyond what is needed for a hypothetical war it’s NATO. This is possible.

The Russians were able to source from 3rd parties - the DORKS or the Iranians.

I admit that this is pure conjecture, but I’m going with a combination of 2 and 3.

I was listening too the BBC,a woman said their lives in Kiev is a living hell since Russian attack, meaning it not getting any better sooner

The Russians have more stocks than predicted. This seems unlikely.

This is obviously true because we have been hearing “running out” as a constant drumbeat since March.

It was never about the stock at all just pushing propaganda.

Now you saying they using too much stock so cant fight NATO (stock they don’t have, you said since March)

So this is all why its even more sad that the USA has no visibility/tracking of the billions in weapons they they think sent to Ukraine.

another likely scenario? Those weapons replenish Russia too. Don’t they have an arms dealer so good that a Hollywood movie was made about him?

Putin has said he won't stop over Christmas. Very Christian of him.

You mean the one selling Russian/Soviet made weapons to other countries? Another pathetic attempt at justifying doing nothing so Russia wins and Ukraine gets it's teeth kicked in.

They have plenty of visibility.

Not likely at all.

Don’t they have an arms dealer so good that a Hollywood movie was made about him?

He may have been good 15 years ago. Not anymore.

Yes. It is true. They are also running out of artillery shells.

now have extremely strong opinions on the issue, based solely on corporate media talking points.

Is there an un-corporate media where Russia launching a savage and unprovoked attack on Ukraine is seen as a jolly and positive thing? Maybe point us that way, sounds like you know something that almost the entire world is failing to see.

You might want to read up on the history of the conflict, including the Baker agreement, the Bucharest declaration, and the Minsk agreement. Did you read Angela Merkels latest interview in the "Zeit"? Should be interesting for you.

-3 ( +2 / -5 )

None of those things that you may have read but certainly did not comprehend goes anyway to justifying an invasion and the subsequent murder, destruction, rape, torture, looting and savagery that it has brought to the people of Ukraine.

Your obsession with 'corporate media' doesn't change the fact that you are once again on the side of wrong.

Have you ever grasped the right end of a stick?
