It is better that the civilians heed the orders of the Russian Government, that means that Russia will make a strong counterattack, one that Ukraine will regret..
Run for your lives..

Yesterday Bronco said this about Russia’s middle strikes…
I assume he still agrees.
But, in the end, Russia must be held accountable. And it doesn’t matter what the Kremlin pays people to write!
Haaa Nemui
A clear indication of Russian intent.
Seapig
Actually Russia shouldn’t shouldn’t be in Ukraine

Quick reminder: forced relocation of people in a land you've invaded is a form of ethnic cleansing.
They are obviously about to blow the dam, harming many civilians in the process. Praying for all.

I imagine there's some buyer's remorse for any Kherson residents who thought they'd be better off joining Russia.
Sh1mon M4sada
With the benefit of hindsight, Putin can see now that instant success is not within reach. So he's going to grind Ukraine up slowly. A power station this month, a dam next month, a bridge the next....just regular enough that Ukraine don't have to restore, but slow enough to prolong the sufferings. Terrorist to the bone.

"Evacuation"? I'd call it yet another deportation!
Those who voluntarily go are the few who like the Russian dictatorship, look for advantages, and so on.
All others are used again as human shields by those aggressors!
But Ukraine will prevail, Ukraine will win!
Michael Machida
Russia is planning a dirty bomb. Its so obvious to the world.
PTownsend
Once again, the anti-west zealots are hoping for innocent civilians to continue to be robbed, raped, slaughtered and made houseless, so their favorite cult leader and his supporting caste members can get even richer and more powerful.

There would be no civilians in any combat zones if russia hadn’t invaded a peaceful neighbour in 2014 and launched a colonial imperialist war of conquest on 24/2/22.
Deporting or ethnic cleansing an occupied territory is a war crime.
russia as it seeks to scuttle away over the Dnipro river is using these civilians as human shields as they know Ukraine unlike the murderous butchers in the russian army will not fire on them.
Like the fascists of the 1940’s russians responsible for these war crimes committed in Ukraine will face justice if they are not strung up by their own people.
Eastman
evacuation of civilians living in war zone is common thing and makes sense.
if they will not do any local experts will cry that al of civilins going to die,if they evacuate them experts will cry that there are "deported".
better you decide your path and narrative first guys.
greetings to darocket expert and all of your crowd.
Eastman
everyday we read here lines about war,but why we never read anything about peace efforts?
and never about reasons for all of this, all is about situation after feb 22nd/like nothing have heppened before and no reason for russian attack/ and to talk over and over just about consequences?
ok1517
Eastman,
peace efforts - sure, many are talking about this, but not under Russia's conditions.
Return all occupied areas to Ukraine (a sovereign state, can't be stressed enough)!
Pay reparations!
Bring those Russians responsible for all the misery, war crimes, and inflicted pain to DeHague!
Denuclearize Russia!
And so on.
Then, only then negotiations can begin.
But Putin definitely ain't willing to do that. It would hurt (also) his ego too much.

7 days from now in the US election will seal Ukrainain fate
stormcrow
It should say:
Russia orders wider depopulation, not evacuation.
Peter14
The bipartisan support for Ukraine will remain after the midterm US elections. Sealing Russia's fate more than anything.
Blacklabel
it will. the "support"- but not the money and the weapons.
Support like profile pics on Twitter and kind words in the media type "support".
not due to anything malicious, the USA gave what they had to give and its not infinite.
Unlike Biden others dont HAVE to give until we are out.
Peter14
Russia has plans for mass destruction in southern Ukraine in the hopes of taking out a majority of Ukraine forces. If they intend on unleashing tactical nuclear weapons or dirty bombs it will be there. Followed by strong attacks in the north in Luhansk. They are trying what worked so successfully for Ukraine. Drawing more troops south.
Beware the terrorist state of Russia!

I am sure many readers here are not from english speaking countries and sure they knows their own sources of informations.so in other words we do not depend to rewritten reuters "news" here by some local journos...
i always check a few different sources as i speak 6 different languages fluently/russian is one of them even not my mother tongue/.as former citizen of Yugoslavia born in mid of sixties of 20th century and with rich business travel history in past when i have made many friends and business partners in many different corners of world i can say that stories here pictured are often a "bit different" and sometimes even in direct opposite with reality on the ground.wondering why sometimes i miss here some signs of common sense/say russian attack on nuclear power station while that one in control of RU army/.
so yes stay smart keep eyes open always check different sources, compare and use your own common sense-and all without any censorship.
one last thing-many experts above "knows the truth" but know no single word in russian, have no clue abt russian mentality, culture and country as whole-and have never even travelled there, dont need to mention Ukraine they may have "discovered" after Feb 22nd,2023 until than that country was for them a "gray zone" somehere on world map...greetings to darocket expert as well.
Haaa Nemui
So here you are, with your retort about my comment yesterday which was a fair question to Bronco. Not once have I ever claimed to be a rocket expert. Many here might, but not me. I’m wondering if English is one of the languages you speak fluently?
Haaa Nemui
Have you even tried to access RT? I did just now and it’s still there. Not gonna waste my time with Sputnik now as a simple check has already proved your lie.
theResident
RT is still available in Japan - so @Eastman, we do get see press from a different perspective. All I have to say is 'what a load of drivel'. Reads like mid 1980's Soviet Propaganda. Well versed in where Ukraine is and its history. You feel free to keep defending Putin and Russian 'Culture and Mentality'- most of which has no place in the modern world.

So about prizes :
Over 300,000 dead: Ukraine loses 12 times as many as were lost in the Vietnam War
Open Source Intelligence (OSINT) investigators have named the actual irrecoverable losses in the Ukrainian armies. As of 20 October 2022, the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) had suffered 402,000 casualties, of which 387,000 were killed.
To compare - Russian Army lost at this time abot 6 000
(only army)
So just compare
ClippetyClop
Do any of those three numbers sound realistic to you?
Serious question

Over 300,000 dead: Ukraine loses 12 times as many as were lost in the Vietnam War
America was the invader in Vietnam just like Russia is in Ukraine. The Americans killed more than 300,000 Asians.
The Armed Forces of Ukraine have killed 70,000 Russian military personnel since the beginning of the full-scale war.

The problem my friend - in Russia (unlike Ukraine) all this info about losses are open.
You could not hide such a big losses - because everything about operation in Ukraine published in each region
of Russia.
"we have lost one good guy today..."
Whole Russian Army (professional) which come to Ukraine was about 180 000
starpunk
It's another sign of their failure.
The same crap occurred again and again in the former Yugoslavia. Not to mention Myanmar with their Rohingya genocide. Their army was plucking the Rohingya off as they were being forced out.
Either way, Russia is trying to keep what they have, if nothing else its' to 'cleanse' the area in order to stop all this urban guerilla warfare that has been such a thorn in their side.

The bipartisan support for Ukraine will remain
Mitch McConnell has said that he would like to see greater assistance. The GOP aren't going to stop Biden giving Ukraine military aid if they win both the house and the senate in the mid-terms. And Biden has veto anyway.
Expect more of the same.
fallaffel
I realize this figure is probably what the Kremlin has reported, but do you really believe it?? There have been single attacks where over 100 soldiers were killed. I wouldn't believe either side's estimates of the losses.
Olegek
Ukraine planned attack on Kherson
Russia planned great battle near Kherson
So Russia evacuate population
Noup, but massive use of artillery
Russia is an artillery nation and always has been
Olegek
Inside Russia Kremlin reported little or nothing about total losses of Ukraine last months (in soldiers)
Absolutely. Idea of operation was to change regime in Kiev and not to kill every Ukrainian soldier.
But we have what we have.
FizzBit
Ukraine had been bombing and attacking their own citizens since 2014, Russia had to do something. It's only logical. The UK's Johnson traveled to Ukraine to tell Zelensky to "keep fighting". Just a war pig escalation at this point.

Used to be. Used to be 60,000 shells a day.
Not anymore. Now Ukraine is the artillery nation with their HIMARS.
