Russia WILL seize control of Donbas.

It is not a question of if, but when. Contrary to the propaganda being hawked by the Western media.

Make no mistake, both sides are engaged in a massive propaganda campaign.

But the truth is the truth.

Russia should get out of Ukraine. They are the ones who started this mess and are paying for it with the lives of young Russian soldiers. That is something that Putin will not be able to escape - using young Russian lives as part of his plan to become the emperor of a larger Russian empire.

Ukraine should face reality, its going to lose the Dombas and south. Choosing peace now may allow them to keep Odessa and have a port. Western arms have not made difference nor will they. Why have thousands more die when the result will be the same?

I don't the Ukrainians are as willing to surrender their independence as you apparently are. Russia will not be taking Odessa anytime soon. Care to make a gentlemen's bet on this?

1 ( +11 / -10 )

I don't think* the Ukrainians....

U,these Ukrainain are sitting ducks,in trenches, they are being killed in the thousands, without ever seeing a Russian, how about saving what you can defend, those that are not killed or injured will have psychological problem, Ukrainain were not ever gonna win , without attacking Belarus or inside Russia, they should implore the mercy rule

-8 ( +4 / -12 )

so many pro Russian / anti westerners who are so anxious for Ukraine to give up the fight & hand over its land to Russia.

Very easy to say (& hypocritical) when you are enjoying the lifestyle & freedom that the west provides you.

Would you be so willing to hand over your house or property to an invader - I doubt it.

Those "Ukrainians" waving Russian flags in the Dombas seem quite happy.

What you or I think about Odessa is irrelevant, Russia will decide its future. If they want it they will take it. Or they could simply deny its use.

-4 ( +8 / -12 )

What you or I think about Odessa is irrelevant, Russia will decide its future. If they want it they will take it. Or they could simply deny its use.

Kind of a cop-out. I will give you that Russia could deny the use of Odessa, but I don't see them invading it and claiming it for Russia as you are hinting at (hoping for?)

It is necessary to provide Ukraine with the weapons needed to drive back Russia and provide them with a basis to be able to negotiate. Selenskyy was willing to negotiate until Russian war crimes in Bucha and other places came up. Now he has no choice but keep it up because surrendering Luhansk, Donbass and Crimea would be his undoing. And this would mean the last democratic leader might go - bring back the corrupt oligarchs Russia would like to see.

Give Ukraine anything she wants - heavy artillery, aircrafts, tanks, whatever.

We all know Putin will not stop after a few bites off Ukraine. He has made wastelands of wheatfields, turned cities to rubble and wrecked industries. He does not conquer - he is bound to destroy.

And he needs to be stopped. At all costs.

-3 ( +4 / -7 )

so I guess we will just ignore the demand from Ukraine for 750 Billion dollars more?

as a "start" for their rebuilding.

Looks like the NATO warmongers are back trying to shift blame and make false accusations that the Russian invasion just came out of the blue and for no reason. The US, UK EU and their central banking lords which pay for NATO (1’s and 0’s) are bankrupt and can’t even manage their own debt/finances. Their weapons gifts are making there way on to the black web for sale. Maybe Hunter can come in save day.

Ukrainain claim to kill 200 Russian and injured 300 in a strike on military base in Meltipol

Ukraine makes a lot of claims, a lot of statements and all we have to do is wait a few days or weeks at the most to find out that are nearly all false, bravado or propaganda.

Azovstal/Mariupol: Ukraine statement "pulling out, mission complete, withdrawal", later the real facts: surender,

Ghost of Kyiv shot down 40 Russian planes" later facts: Kyiv admits making the whole thing up, then tries backtracking saying it was just a mistake grouping all its pilots kills into one person. (Yeah sure we believe you).

Ukraine forces pushed Russian troops back into Russia in Kharkiv region only for Russian troops to be at the gates of Kharkiv city soon after and the Ukrainian SBU chief saying it was a stunt ordered by Kyiv (he was fired along with 3 other SBU cheifs that openly said the truth about their regions situation)

We are not getting the facts, not from Ukraine not from our western news or governments.

Best example was the big deal made about the sinking of the Moskva. Ok great success.

But what we don't get is that Ukraine has destroyed or sunk 6 Russian ships or boats, including the Moskva and a tug boat (this is the Ukrainian official numbers)

But what we don't hear is the Ukraine lost its flagship the Hetman Sahaidachny it's command ship Donbas and 20 more ships and boats sunk or captured (this information is available on multiple western news sites, Ukraine MOD, BBC, USA military analysis information) (note Russia claims nearly 30 vessels but most western numbers say 20 with Ukraine retaining 11 vessels.)

So I wouldn't believe anything Ukraine claims, ( never believe Russia either) and if the western news tells you something be prepared for a "correction" soon after and look for what they are not telling you.

Yes, but the Russians and their Chechen frendz WILL be handed their *zhopy** *when the Ukrainians come back with bigger guns.

I don't think either side is interested in peace right now. Ukraine gains nothing, as Russia's word means nothing (they will magic up more neo-nazis whenever it suits them to take more land). Russia also gains nothing from peace talks right now, as nobody is ready to drop sanctions.

So the cracks are showing!

Now that even the most supportive allies are admitting their population has begun to tire of the war and propaganda and that the name Russian no longer conjures up fear like it used to, now for the past few days we are being treated to the new Boogeyman on the Block the "Chechen" mercenary!

The smell of desperation!

What cracks are showing, AS? I don't think anyone is under the illusion that Ukraine is going to have an easy time expelling the invaders and rebuilding their country. If it were easy for them, they wouldn't need our help, would they?

Of course, Ukraine is desperate. This is an existential crisis for them. You seem gleeful about that. Why is that ?

Russia is throwing "all the reserves they now have" at battles in Luhansk region, Ukrainian official says

> I find this CNN reported claim highly dubious

I say 3 to 5 days they will find something else to blame, act like they never made that statement and announce Ukraine is "taking up news better defensive positions".

Here is what is funny, I am more sure about Putin than Zelensky, Biden, Trudeau or any other western leaders.

With Putin I know where I and you stand, he is a dictator, if we get in his way he will stomp on us, plain and simple easy to understand and navigate.

But now in the west we don't know who to trust they are all saying whatever they think one group or the other wants to hear, they are constantly lying, saying one thing doing another. (Something I expect from Putin ).

So now I read the news, listen to our leaders and wait 3 to 5 days for both to say something else that fully contradicts what they claimed or said previously.

-2 ( +6 / -8 )

Our western leaders are so frightened so desparate that Johnson, Trudeau, etc...are not even going to try and negotiate or talk to their citizens that are upset by everything including inflation caused by the Sanctions both are just going to use news laws to stop Unions or others from protesting or disrupting the agenda they have set out! I no longer know if we are Democracies or authoritarian regimes. No descent No opposition isn't that what we expect in Putin's Russia? But that is now what we have in Ukraine and heading towards in other western countries.

I prefer Putin's way, I know what to expect I know to look out for a knife in my chest or back that it clearly obvious.

On July 3, 2022, the Minister of Defence of the Russian Federation General of the Army Sergey Shoigu reported to the Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Russian Federation Armed Forces, V.Putin, on the liberation of the Lugansk People’s Republic.

One down, one to go. It’s fascinating, is it not, that the USA, which once claimed in a fit of Wilsonian hubris to have sent its troops “over there” in order to defend the self-determination of peoples, is now fighting a war to prevent self-determination on the part of the people of the Donbass.

The video shared on social media over the weekend of Ukrainian forces shooting Russian prisoners after slitting their throats is horrific and makes it a heck of a lot harder for Germany, France and Italy to continue to support the Ukraine.

Russia was supposedly running out of troops and weapons in May. So yeah they will just change the story and start talking about something 100% happening "by Fall".

I would take such things with a grain of salt, but I find it odd that Russia has taken well over 10,000 POWs (Swiss red cross figures) but Ukraine claims to only have several hundred Russian POWs ( again Swiss red cross say it has been give just under 600 names of Russian POWs)

Strange disparity 10,000 and 600.

-4 ( +5 / -9 )

Wil - you may be new here, but AS gets what he gets. He is an unapologetic shill for Putin. If people who would side with Putin, or be neutral in the face of his aggression, don't like me, that's fine.

> UChosePoorly

I have never sided with Putin only in your strategically edited quotes you created from my comments.

I point out the facts, like Azovstal was a surender, not a withdrawal, as claimed.

Ukraine never retook the border in Kharkiv, it has been admitted as a strange video.

I point out the facts that the western media only gives us half the facts and even then edited to make another loss seems like a win.

We here Russia lost its Flagship! But the news forgets to tell us the Ukrainians lost their flagship, the command ship and 20 more leaving their navy with 11 ships according to USA analysts.

I point out that before the war Ukraine was considered untrustworthy and the second most corrupt country in Europe right behind Russia and between Philippines and Sierra Leone on the world corruption scale all readily available information, but suddenly Ukraine is the poster child for democracy, you attack me for pointing out facts and the hypocrisy of our governments that suddenly got amnesia as to what Ukraine was/is and all the problems they had/have.

You don't like facts so your only way to counter facts is to make false statements and personal attacks.

You are correct Putin did say something like that.

At least he was straightforward about it!

Ukraine has since 2014 claimed it wants peace, it claims it respects Russian minorities, but has passed laws reducing ethnic rights, banning Russian language, literature, music, missed every deadline on implementing Minsk 2.

So Putin is an authoritarian dictator that says he will take what he wants and he tells us directly what he wants and what he is going to do.

Ukraine tells us one thing does another them lies about it gets caught lies more, etc ..

The problem is simple we all know not to believe or truth Putin, it is commonsense. We now have to realize we need to do the same with Ukraine.

Remember before the war Russia was the most corrupt country in Europe filled closely by Ukraine the second most corrupt country in Europe.

They deserve each other.

Strange but in 2018 Poland enacted a law regarding Fascists groups that are national heroes in a neighbouring country, that law was to counter the fact these Fascist groups that conducted ethnic cleansing were made national heroes by their neighbouring country in 2015.

Poland's law wasn't towards Russia, it was aimed at Ukraine for making OUN UPA National heroes.

Isn't that interesting.

Total propaganda. Why would Russia come to Donbass to stop the genocide then bomb them. Also the shells are 155mm, supplied by USA and NATO. Russia uses 157mm.

-3 ( +4 / -7 )

After the Russian forces liberated the capital KYIV, the city's name should be renamed : Putingrad !

To honour Mr.Putun's achievement if bringing the Russian/Ukranian in one good brotherhood!

Probably because that's not why they came to Donbass.

-3 ( +2 / -5 )

Russia was supposedly running out of troops and weapons in May.

Russia is only using mostly conscripts and use by date weapons. They are saving everything for a European War, probably the red line is US/UK missiles destroying the bridge and hitting Russian cities. That’s when I move to Chile or NZ.

-7 ( +1 / -8 )

Ask why of all the 195 countries in the world fewer than 40 are implementing sanctions on Russia.

Ask why the countries that have are mostly western Europe, USA, Canada Australia NZ,

Not a single country in Africa, Middle East, South and Central America, or Asia other than South Korea and Japan very reluctantly.

No former colonies no Commonwealth other than the white ones,

No just a group of mostly white European lead countries making up around 800 million people.

The largest Democracy in the world India and it's 1.3 billion people are not on board nor is Pakistan and it never agrees with India.

North African former colonies also not on board.

One leader of a north African country said it very plainly.

"We got dragged into 2 world war because of European vendettas"

"This time they cannot make us get involved "

" Let them fix their own problems "

( My best translation from the original French)

2 ( +7 / -5 )

fewer than 40 are implementing sanctions on Russia.

because only 40 countries have this dumb idea pushed by Biden that their own citizens need to suffer over this more than Russians are suffering.

Why do Americans have to suffer shortages of food and baby formula and have our economy wrecked and pay for $5 gas just because of useless sanctions on Putin?

Now you see it isn't a one or the other as you and your colleagues would like it to be.

In my case I am anti Ukraine and anti Russia.

I don't like or care for either one, so I basically would like them to get on with their little vendetta, if they wipe eachother out I don't care.

Just live us out of it.

And that is why most countries outside Europe and a few other white European dominated ones have chosen to stay out to the mess.

-3 ( +4 / -7 )

I agree it is time to supply all conventional weapons with nothing withheld. Yes it will take time to train but once done with experienced personnel the fight will be much fairer and Ukraine should be hitting inside Russia to cripple munitions manufacturing as well as artillery factories, fighter aircraft factories and anything that Russia needs to sustain a long conflict.

Russia does not want to disappear in a nuclear holocaust any more than the west does so threats of that nature can be safely ignored.
