Three Ukrainian civilians dead because of another Russian missile strike. Are we going to see particular people here calling it what it is, murder, and condemning it in the same way as they were calling for Ukraine’s supporters to do about the deaths of the people mentioned in yesterday’s article or are we just going to see them turn the blame on Ukraine and suggest it wouldn’t be happening if Ukraine just gave up defending itself.

15 ( +18 / -3 )

Ceasefires don’t work like that, you discuss during them.

Discussions don't remove occupiers generally. Especially not ones with a long track record of thievery.

14 ( +17 / -3 )

 we need a peaceful solution

Yes it's called GET THE HELL OUT OF UKRAINE

14 ( +17 / -3 )

are we just going to see them turn the blame on Ukraine and suggest it wouldn’t be happening if Ukraine just gave up defending itself.

Yes ffs.

13 ( +16 / -3 )

No, was a “terrible, unfortunate accident”.

It may very well have been an accident, but sorry, you can’t use “terrible” anymore. You were the one yesterday who said it was “weak”, so you’ve gotta do a lot better than that.

13 ( +16 / -3 )

is that what your media wants you to believe?

What is "your" media, and what does it want you to believe?

13 ( +16 / -3 )

As could have you, yesterday. but you didn’t care.

I didn’t care? I said it’s terrible and I said it’s disgusting if civilians are being targeted. I absolutely do care. You told us “terrible” was weak. Come up with something else or quit complaining. Prove you care or shut up.

12 ( +14 / -2 )

so it’s the same today.

Weak.

12 ( +14 / -2 )

When the media and governments turn against Zelensky ( which they will with the info they have about his past)

Why would they? You know Putin's past, but it hasn't turned you against him. In fact your simping for him is getting stronger and more desperate by the day.

You can keep begging for a ceasefire as Russia's situation worsens, but there won't be one until Putin uninvades Ukraine.

But keep pretending to be a 'pacifist' if it works for you.

12 ( +15 / -3 )

Wars are always tragic and horrific but let's remember it was Putin who is the invader killing more than 10,000 Ukrainian citizens, men, women, and children. He destroyed the entire city of Bakhmut. The mission is to destroy Ukraine.

12 ( +16 / -4 )

Putin is not interested in peace.

11 ( +13 / -2 )

Russia's word means nothing

Russia's credibility is zero

Russia's ruble is worth nothing

Russia's morale is zero

Great job Putin. war criminal

11 ( +16 / -5 )

Putin does not care about the UN Charter forbidding a member state from invading and attacking another. Putin does not care about the Geneva Convention and abducted thousands of Ukraine children. Putin does not care that Russia made a treaty with Ukraine not to attack it for the surrender of its nuclear weapons.

Putin is the one who cannot be trusted by word or deed.

11 ( +13 / -2 )

Kyiv and its Western allies accuse Putin of barbaric tactics and an imperialist-style land grab in Ukraine

The above nutshells what Putin/Prizoghin and their Kremlin puppets have done. It looks like Putin's partners Xi Jinping, Kim Un, the Ayatollah and other despots, aalong with anti-democracy extremists in many countries support the land grab, while defending it by saying the 'west was worse'. That might be true, but it''s a pretty lame defense of Russia's ongoing butchering of a sovereign nation. Russia, like China and Iran already control huge territories

9 ( +12 / -3 )

Yes that’s all I got yesterday from any of you was terrible, unfortunate, accident when the civilians were on the other side. “Falling debris”

Kinda sounds like maybe they're taking your same tack when it comes to Ukrainian civilian casualties.

9 ( +11 / -2 )

While Russian forces are inside Ukraine, Russian civilians back in Russia are also less safe. Ukraine, Georgia, Chechnya... this could all be a catalyst to a 9/11 type event in Russia. The sooner Russia leaves, the sooner its citizens will be safe... but they'll never be as safe as they were prior to February last year. It's all on Putin.

9 ( +10 / -1 )

Ukrainian drones need to be careful or they are going to start hitting other Ukrainian drones. Here's to a million-drone fleet for Ukraine!

8 ( +10 / -2 )

is that what your media wants you to believe?

When the pro-Russia anti-US extremists cannot defend their shifting positions, they resort to blaming the media.

8 ( +11 / -3 )

FFS we want Russia to stop invading and destroying their neighbors. Peacefully would be nice, but whatever it takes to get the Russian invaders to go home. Simple as.

8 ( +10 / -2 )

Why would you not expect Russian civilians to be safe if you aren’t justifying Ukraine attacking them?

I’m not justifying attacks on civilians. I’m aware that while the war is ongoing, civilians are less safe. That’s pretty obvious to most people. Most people.

8 ( +9 / -1 )

Кад сече дрвеће, тако да летите чиповима.

you wanted war and you support it-you get it.

Very relevant. Have Russians heeded your advice?

7 ( +9 / -2 )

Blacklabel

No, was a “terrible, unfortunate accident”.

these people were not the target it was “falling debris” caused by Ukraine supposedly shooting down every missile again

Nope. The missiles intentionally targeted civilian areas with no military targets nearby. Full responsibility for murdering civilians on Russia.

6 ( +8 / -2 )

No, was a “terrible, unfortunate accident”.

these people were not the target it was “falling debris” caused by Ukraine supposedly shooting down every missile again

Blacklabel, was it also a “terrible, unfortunate accident” that Russia was sending missiles at a civilian area of a city no where near the front lines hoping to kill and intimidate Ukraine’s civilian population??

6 ( +8 / -2 )

Putin is responsible for all deaths, Ukrainian and Russian.

6 ( +8 / -2 )

Innocent civilians shouldn't be dying in this conflict.

If Zelenskyy was doing his job of protecting the civilians better and evacuations civilians wouldn't be dying.

Or perhaps Zelenskyy doesn't realize yet its a war zone.

I really wish there was a better way to thwart the missiles instead of shooting them down .

Nobody should be dying on either side, but Russia invaded and Ukraine will protect herself as any country would do.

The five killed mentioned in yesterday's article were on the Russian side of the LOC.

The ones killed mentioned in this article were in Kyiv. Would you have Ukraine evacuate the entirety of Kyiv? Where would they go?

Russia should stop sending missiles and drones to Ukrainian cities. That would be the best option. Until then, Ukraine will shoot them down.

5 ( +6 / -1 )

Its painfully obvious that there's more interest in fighting than peace negotiations !

The interest is in kicking the Russian invaders off of Ukrainian soil. No need for peace talks until then. Russia always has the option to take their army back to Russia. Then we can talk about preventing a similar atrocity in the future and making Ukraine whole again.

5 ( +6 / -1 )

But we have a group of propaganda infected posters who value civilian lives on only one side and have a big fat “shouganai” attitude about civilian deaths on the other side.

That’s not right.

Blacklabel - the civilians killed yesterday were most likely Ukrainians since it took place on Ukrainian soil, just on the Russian side of the current LOC. It probably wasn't Russian civilians.

5 ( +6 / -1 )

That’s not right.

Was it right to claim the victims of the Mariupol theater bombing were "human shields?"

5 ( +6 / -1 )

What ol' Jack Burton always says

The mission is to destroy Ukraine.

The mission is to stop Ukraine from joining NATO and create a barrier to protect Russia and dominate the black sea.

That was never the mission.

5 ( +7 / -2 )

they might not have been Russians

Blacklabel - the ones from the article yesterday were in Ukraine, so very likely (almost certainly) Ukrainians. I will dig in a little further on this one since you seem to be pretty sure that they were Russians.

5 ( +7 / -2 )

Blacklabel - the Russians are saying that it was in the village of Karpaty, Luhansk, Ukraine, a village about halfway between Luhansk and Donetsk. This means it is in Ukraine, not Russia.

https://www.usnews.com/news/world/articles/2023-05-31/five-dead-in-ukraine-shelling-of-luhansk-village-moscow-installed-centre

5 ( +7 / -2 )

when all of you will understand that there is NO MILITARY SOLUTION at all?

Russia seems to think there is, so here we are.

5 ( +9 / -4 )

Blacklabel

Why would you not expect Russian civilians to be safe if you aren’t justifying Ukraine attacking them?

you can simply say attacking civilians on both sides is unacceptable and both sides should be held accountable. Rather than saying it’s an accident, they might not have been Russians, Ukraine didn’t confirm they were behind the attack, false flag, etc.

Of course targeting civilians is not acceptable. But Ukraine aren't targeting civilians. Russia is.

5 ( +8 / -3 )

Doesn't seem to be working out so good though.

Correct, and Russia's best days in this conflict are likely behind it.

4 ( +5 / -1 )

But we have a group of propaganda infected posters who value civilian lives on only one side and have a big fat “shouganai” attitude about civilian deaths on the other side.

You may be suggesting I am one of those, but I have never said civilian deaths are ok, on any side. However, I admit that I fully support Ukraine, and I am not naive enough to think that Russian civilians are going to be safe while Russia is continuing to attack and occupy Ukraine.

4 ( +6 / -2 )

sure are low standards/expectations for any and all Ukraine actions.

Right, except when Russia kills Ukrainian civilians, it gets minimized and is claimed they're "trying to minimize casualties."

4 ( +5 / -1 )

that Russia was sending missiles at a civilian area of a city no where near the front lines hoping to kill and intimidate Ukraine’s civilian population??

were they?

Yes, they were (and continue to do so)

4 ( +8 / -4 )

It's 2023 not 1943, yet how on earth can one little man and his band of thugs cause so much suffering to millions with impunity? When are the countries of the world going to clean out their fetid stables of sadistic violence and corruption so that people like Putin and other high-profile persons who have been given a pass (a certain centenarian comes to mind) can be restrained by draconian punishment? From the watchtower the hour is getting late: whole world must reflect on the monstrous behavior of its rulers before a self-inflicted Armageddon brings game over to human civilization.

3 ( +6 / -3 )

Blacklabel

that Russia was sending missiles at a civilian area of a city no where near the front lines hoping to kill and intimidate Ukraine’s civilian population??

were they?

Yes.

we dont know what the targets were or where because Ukraine always claims they shot down ALL the missiles and that any damage is only from "falling debris".

You keep saying this, but it isn't true. Their targets are civilians in Kyiv and the debris hits civilians in Kyiv.

Maybe they should just say that missiles hit their targets instead if that is the actual case?

That is what I have been saying.

3 ( +6 / -3 )

Blacklabel - that is a likely a more accurate description than Ukrainians killing Russian civilians, but I am not seeing where even Russia is claiming they are civilians. I will continue to dig.

2 ( +5 / -3 )

And of course Ukraine killing Ukrainian civilians isn't fine. None of this is. With the obvious exception being if they were collaborators or otherwise associated with the Russian invaders.

2 ( +5 / -3 )

Blacklabel

The missiles intentionally targeted civilian areas with no military targets nearby.

no, the missiles were all shot down according to Ukraine. So their targets were not hit and remain unknown.

The target is civilians in Kyiv and all the debris is falling in Kyiv, so yes, we know the target and they have been hit.

2 ( +7 / -5 )

What is left of Ukraine will never be allowed in NATO - by Moscow.

Thankfully, Moscow doesn't get a vote.

The mission is to stop Ukraine from joining NATO and create a barrier to protect Russia and dominate the black sea.

That was never the mission.

If you are attempting to announce that it's not Putin's mission to dominate Ukraine and the black sea then please explain what Putin's MO is ?

Imperialism.

Without offering your own assessment is just plain childish.

Offered now.

"It is high time that we actually sit down and find a very concrete answer," Lithuanian Foreign Minister Gabrielius Landsbergis said, noting that Ukraine had suffered two invasions in 14 years while waiting for NATO accession.

Ukraine is running out of men to fight on the battlefield.

The war will soon be coming to an end.,,

I just saw a video where a missile disrupted traffic on a Kyiv highway, right in front of moving cars. This is unprovoked and uncalled for. The Ukes did nothing to warrant or deserve this.

If you look at the evidence that is a Patriot PAC-3 CRI interceptor.

What is left of Ukraine will never be allowed in NATO - by Moscow.

Kyiv regime knows the metrics are against them in the larger picture, especially the Loss exchange ratio - precisely why the counter-offensive won't be staged.

Thus, resorting to underhanded terrorist tactics. Anything to change to narrative.

It's amazing how demonstrably indifferent sponsors and supporters are being to these brazen attacks on civilians considering the previous rhetoric.

Eyes Wide Shut. Bizarre stuff..

-5 ( +3 / -8 )

Thankfully, Moscow doesn't get a vote

Oh yes, it does. One of the following will occur: a Moscow-dictated peace treaty, a "frozen conflict" or an ongoing one with worse results for Kyiv.

Whatever scenario unfolds, Moscow will have a veto on NATO membership by default.

As previously mentioned, the rump-state may be permitted by Moscow to join the EU, should they want to adopt an economic basket case.

-5 ( +2 / -7 )

The missiles intentionally targeted civilian areas with no military targets nearby.

no, the missiles were all shot down according to Ukraine. So their targets were not hit and remain unknown.

remember that even Amnesty international reported soldiers being based in civilian areas. Until they were forced to stop saying that fact.
