Well good for Ukraine. I can think of a longest bridge in Europe that needs to become the shortest bridge in Europe.

Stay strong, defenders of Ukraine! Bakhmut holds.

Russia accuses Ukraine of using long-range U.S. artillery, meanwhile, how many thousands of innocent Ukrainian civilians (including too many women and children) have the Russians murdered with theirs?

The Kremlin sees Russia in a permanent war with the west, with threats of going nuke, Ukraine is trying to limit the Russia/China/Iran/North Korea bloc from spreading the war that Putin and the Kremlin started when they sent the Wagner Group and provided arms to separatists in Eastern Ukraine. Most diseases even cancers caught early can be effectively treated.

As they should.
You're just lucky they haven't pushed into Russia proper.

Bronco - who says the Ukrainians are 'trapped' in Bakhmut?

How many Nato generals are you guessing are with them this time?

Zelensky told Yomiuri that he has no ammo and the offensive can’t start without new “donations”.

For those with doubts, Mrs. Clinton this month FINALLY admitted it's PROXY WAR!
"Hillary Clinton hinted at the plan last week, "Turn Ukraine into a killing field to bleed Russia dry."
On MSNBC last week, Clinton said "Remember, the Russians invaded Afghanistan back in 1980 … it didn't end well for the Russians. The fact is, a very motivated and then funded and armed insurgency basically drove the Russians out of Afghanistan. I think that is the model people are now looking toward."

Ukraine said it received modern Leopard and Challenger battle tanks from Germany and the United Kingdom
Considering Ukraine have was in and out of the city, I would expect a retreat if required. But the capture of Bakhmut has been greatly exaggerated. It doesn't look like Wagner have the momentum to do it quickly.
In any case, Ukraine won't waste these tanks on something such low strategic value.
More likely they will punch to the south and invade Crimea.

Take out the bridge!

If my memory is correct, it's Putin/Russia attacking Ukraine.

Thanks for your insight, Clay. Who do you think is the next stepping-stone after Ukraine?

China renewed calls for de-escalation in Ukraine on Monday and reminded Russia of its recent opposition to nuclear war days after President Vladimir Putin announced plans to deploy tactical nuclear weapons in neighboring Belarus.
The Russian defense minister said Russia should be allowed to dominate Europe.

Why was the regime in Urkaine committing human rights and anti democratic violations, PER OFFICAL EU Statements, against Ethic Russian Ukrainians?
Think that's a BIG more relevant to our humanity's SURVIVAL than distant history!
So you CHOOSE poorly!

Ukraine was fighting the Russian-backed separatists. Most of the shooting and deaths occurred in the first year, then the conflict froze until Feb 2022 when the Russians invaded.

Nice of Russia to help them do this. Bravo Putin, you got played.
President Hillary doing a great job in the minds of Vatniks.

Video of Russian infantry assault getting absolutely shredded by UA artillery and armor (14 minutes). Isolated Ukrainian soldier in the trench actually throws a grenade back at the Russians.

Russia needs to be stopped by any means necessary. Best if this happens with only Ukraine directly involved.
The best outcome for Russia is if they just left and started sending reparation money to Ukraine for the damages and lives taken. Just keep paying for at least the next 20 yrs. We'll let you know when it has been enough.
Hopefully, Russian citizens have learned their lesson with over 100K of their own dead.
ClippetyClop
Russian citizens aren't allowed to know how many are dead. I think the official figure still stands at about 6000. Doubting this can get you thrown in gaol.
'Missing in Action' does not mean 'Killed in Action', a very Soviet way of not having to pay the families of the dead.
My hope is that the Soviets be thrown out of Donbas, and then the water supply to Crimea be turned off unless the Soviets pay, say, $50 billion a year. Maybe throw in a bridge threat in there too, the Soviets have nightmares about that being scratched again.

Of course this is a misrepresentation of what he actually said but, in any case, the only thing to do is send more ammo as soon as possible.
Not only more ammo but anything that Ukraine needs to push the invaders from their country.
Stopping Putin now will be much cheaper than stopping him later, no matter how much it takes!

Excellent news that Ukraine now has artillery with an extended range of 150km. All ammunition dumps, fuel dumps, troop hubs can all now be targeted deep inside occupied territory. With good intel they can destroy much needed Russian supplies and aid in putting an end to this invasion of Ukraine.
@UChosePoorly
That footage is chilling. Shows a Russian assault on a fixed trench position being defended by what looked like two - four Ukraine troops. The Russians come in from two directions getting right up to the trench at one point. Some limited artillery support followed by two Ukraine armoured vehicles. One tank and one apc that forces a Russian retreat leaving dead and wounded Russian soldiers littering the battlefield. Many less Russians managed to flee than those remaining behind on the battlefield dead and injured. No clue how many of the defending Ukraine soldiers survived or died in the battle.
