No doubt Avdiivka will fall..

Along with tens of thousands of Russian men and billions in “armor” (If one can call a vehicle that incinerates its crew rather than protects them as such).

For yet another pile of smoldering ruin with no strategic value.

Slow clap…….

Bakmut is playing out all over again, and the end result will be the same.

Another 20,000 dead Russian boys? Well, as long as it helps you to be smug on the internet it then I'm sure it's worth it.

Note that the Western media is admitting that this place is strategically important now, but the narrative will shift to "just a meaningless place on a map" after Russian soldiers prevail.

What a weird world you exist in. If Russia stopped destroying towns then they wouldn't become meaningless.

"That road is vital. If they cut it, it will complicate entry, evacuation, supplies," said deputy commander Oleksandr.

"And it doesn't mean they'll stop there. They're looking for a chance to take the city."

It regards to heavy losses by Russia, yes. However, I doubt that they will be able to take the city. Ukraine has been able to surprise Russia and resist their attempts at encircling Avdiivka.

 capture strategically important territory

It's not really that strategically important, however, it is very important for Putin, because he wants to talk about a win for Russia before his election in March next year.

Of course the average citizens mean nothing to the tsar. The fact that Russians are okay with this is to their shame.

Meanwhile, countries bordering Russia are tightening restrictions (such as Finland). Too bad for those who cannot flee, but there is only so many these countries can take.

My son would be military age there. My advice to him would be, "Run!"

Sitting in an indent -- surrounded on almost three sides by Russian forces

Totally “winning”

And for what? Why are these hoards of young Russian men dying?

All for Putin's folly - his "3-day special military operation" that in three months will have gone on for two years...

And they'll keep dying...until Putin is forced to admit defeat...

In the northern sector of Avdiivka the russians have lost approximately 10,000 men for the glorious success of capturing two fields. How many million will they lose capturing the heavily fortified city. Just one suburb of Donetsk. But poo tin doesn’t care, the sacrifice will be worth it for his glory and as one russian officer said, russian women will breed more.

Watched a Euronews report this morning on the massive number of Russian fake and false news posts on Ukraine and the Palestinian conflicts.

It seems you are correct, our friendly JT " experts" are already shifting the narrative here to Avdiivka being worthless.

Sort of like when you and your Putin fans suddenly decided that the botched attack on Kyiv was just a 'feint'. And you actually believed Putin when he said this.

Isn't Kyiv acutally not worthless?

Russia are certainly throwing men into the meat grinder and paying for it in Russian lives. As for the mechanised attack, weather will probably slow Russia down. I can't see Avdiivka falling in the near future.

300,000 young Russian men fled the country to avoid being sent to war they didn't believe in.
