The fascist Russian regime is about to implode. What a welcome development.

Tziny Putin must be quaking in his bunker.

I don't know how things will play out, but hopefully Ukraine will be able use this to end the terrorist invasion.

The Ukraine “offensive” is so weak that Russia has time/energy to even fight each other while they waiting.

The Ukraine “offensive” is so weak that Russia has time/energy to even fight each other while they waiting.

The coup is just getting started. Russia failed at all of its military objectives except the land bridge, and now is the time to make them fail at that as well. Going to relish when the apologists are finally quieted.

32 ( +40 / -8 )

Will Prigozhin turn out to be the Russian modern day Trotsky ?

4 ( +11 / -7 )

Everything is going as planned with the special military operation. Oops

The UK Ministry of Defense says Wagner is moving on Moscow:

The coup is just getting started.

What happened to the offensive?

now you are just counting on the “coup”?

-39 ( +8 / -47 )

Trying to change the topic. Guess I can't blame you.

What happened to the offensive?

now you are just counting on the “coup”?

Putin says they are still fighting Nazis. Is this the Nazis in Wagner or the Nazis in the Russian government. So hard to keep these things straight.

26 ( +32 / -6 )

Russia's aviation are striking the M-4 highway.

The Ukraine “offensive” is so weak that Russia has time/energy to even fight each other while they waiting.

The Putin fans’ state of denial is reaching new levels of pathetic.

29 ( +35 / -6 )

By returning with his band of mercenary thugs to the snake-pit of the Russian federation, "Putin's chef" may be preparing to cook his goose.

21 ( +26 / -5 )

Putin's address to the nation:

9 ( +13 / -4 )

Part of* Putin's address

2 ( +7 / -5 )

What happened to the offensive?

seems like the offensive is the least of Putins worry now, LOL

Been over a year, Ukraine is still their own country.

maybe the US just paid Wagner double their rate, that's the problem with mercenaries they do the bidding of the highest payer

22 ( +26 / -4 )

'This is treason!' Vladimir Putin blasts Wagner chief Prigozhin for a 'stab in the back' and says 'measures will be very hard' as warlord's feared militia sweep into Russian city Rostov-on-Don and Moscow goes onto red alert for a military coup.

Wagner chief Yevgeny Prigozhin on Friday declared that his 25,000-strong force is marching into Rostov-on-Don, and is 'unopposed'

16 ( +20 / -4 )

Putin really scrood the pooch last year with his "Special Military Operation". NATO is more united and larger than ever. Even closer to Russia thanks to Finland. Ukraine hasn't collapsed in short order as he expected. He has suceeded in making Russia a paraiah, with just a handful of dictatorships as allies. Even China refuses to fully back Russia. And now the feared Wagner Group has turned on him. The sooner Putin is gone the better. The Russian people deserve better than him.

22 ( +27 / -5 )

What happened to the offensive?

What may have happened is that Putin underestimated the Ukrainians yet again.

17 ( +21 / -4 )

What happened to the offensive?

It has captured Rostov on Don and Voronezh so far, currently advancing on Moscow. Seems to be facing only sporadic resistance.

19 ( +24 / -5 )

Well, how about that. A government is now fighting against its own hired mercenaries. This scenario has repeated so often throughout history it's almost a cliche. Coup d'état???

Oh, this news is wayyyyy behind. On YouTube the channels are tracking Wagner's movement in real time. They are less than seven hours away from Moscow and they are moving quickly and are facing almost no resisitance. Russian troops are joining them along the way. Wagner will be in Moscow soon, probably this time tomorrow. Their goal is to execute high ranking Russian military officials in Moscow. Nobody knows where Putin is. He might have fled, we don't know.

Russia just put out an arrest warrant on Putin's Chef and Martial Law is in force in Moscow. Going to get interesting now. Especially if Wagner Group can get more Russian military to join forces on their march to the Kremlin.

This could get really interesting if regular Russia troops start joining the rebels. I'm sure at minimum the regular troops tired of this war and likely also many of the lower level commanders? That will be key if this snuffed out or expands to end Putin. But no matter what a huge blow for Russia, for sure makes Ukraine counteroffensive better in the chaos.

24 ( +30 / -6 )

Remember, this is not a coup; it's a special political operation!

29 ( +32 / -3 )

The flip side to this is there's a chance Putin and his old buddy Prigozhin have cooked this up as a way to ultimately save Putin by pushing blame onto the military and FSB for the Ukraine failures; a mechanism that could allow Putin to escape public blame and justify a purge of his enemies.

Hopefully, it is not the case.

If everything is as it appears then the way things are going, you'd think that Putin is a CIA agent, having spread the influence of NATO in the region, weakening the Russian army and sabotaging the Russian economy. While Prigozhin could be seen as the true Russian patriot.

Let's not forget China is also waiting to strike and rob Russia blind.

These are truly some interesting times!

23 ( +27 / -4 )

Well, Prigozhin wasn’t going after Putin, only the top defense people in Russia. Putin has confirmed where he stands on it though and given Prigozhin no choice but to target him as well. Everybody has been expecting this, just not from Wagner. The west won’t escape the blame from Putin, but Prigozhin has seen the truth it seems.

7 ( +11 / -4 )

I'm absolutely loving this. Let the rats eat themselves with the Ukrainians take back their land from the Fascists.

19 ( +24 / -5 )

I do enjoy seeing fascists bickering.

Hopefully this ruins Putin's weekend.

17 ( +21 / -4 )

First good news in ages. Not overly optimistic, but a chink of light is there.

13 ( +18 / -5 )

What a dumpster fire! The Kremlin apologists left clutching at straws. Still going to plan, fellas? “Demilitarized” and “denazified” Ukraine, yet? Just, priceless.

16 ( +20 / -4 )

Bordeuax, have you got a link to the YouTube channels?

4 ( +6 / -2 )

I honestly dont know whether to laugh or cry here. I feel sorry for all the people on both sides that are fighting a war that none wants to be a part of, but are forced to participate.

Once side defending their homes, the other, under threat of being killed.

-1 ( +6 / -7 )

Like this really means anything.

After 100 billion dollars of Western support, the Ukrainians need to count on Russians to beat other Russians as their only Chance to win?

Weak.

-37 ( +3 / -40 )

I can't see how Prigozhin can possibly succeed. This will either end like Pugachev's rebellion or in a messy compromise.

-12 ( +2 / -14 )

Russia is a mess! The leader of the neo-Nazi Wagner Group is ordered to be arrested

In the first place, they are in-fighting because the war in Ukraine is not going well

If the fight in Ukraine is going well, there would be no in-fighting

Think about it - if things are going well, why would there be discontent, the source of the in-fighting?

Only when a team is losing when you see in-fighting within a team

Imagine if an US mercenary group doing this to a US city and to the US military?!

Russia is a mess! This is embarrassing

15 ( +16 / -1 )

Like this really means anything.

Actually, it means quite a lot. If the Russian military is busy defending actual Russian soil, it's going to be that much more difficult to defend the Ukrainian land they temporarily hold.

After 100 billion dollars of Western support, the Ukrainians need to count on Russians to beat other Russians as their only Chance to win?

lol Who said this is the "only" chance they have? It certainly isn't. They've been making steady progress, and now with the infighting, they're about to make even more. It must be tough being a fascist.

15 ( +16 / -1 )

Ukraine should use this to push forward in their counter-offensive. And while Yevgeny represents the worst of scum, here's hoping he and Putin go at it whole hog, and Russia gets a big, BIG taste of what it has been doing to Ukraine and others. They brought it on themselves.

11 ( +14 / -3 )

Russia, incompetent as ever, with a brutal disregard for human life (own and from other countries).

9 ( +10 / -1 )

Weak? Nah this is great.

9 ( +10 / -1 )

So much humiliation for the pro fascist camp....

13 ( +14 / -1 )

What lurks in the mind of a despot dictator?

Putin believed that his so called "special military operation" invading Ukraine would be over as soon as it started.

Putin didn't bargain on President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy, and a fiercely stubborn peoples devotion to keep their sovereignty at any cost.

How the worm has turned.

Now Russian mercenary chief Yevgeny Prigozhin has turned out to be a renegade snake in the grass turncoat.

Historians will spend decades analyzing the Russian Dictator who has no clothes.

Don't gloat, I fear the poo at yet to hit the fan.

9 ( +10 / -1 )

Prigozhin is a monster of Putin's own making

The only way a guy like him got all the way to where he is - only because of Putin and favoritism

Prigozhin is an ex-convict with no military experience. He spent 9 years in prison for robbery and fraud, then got into the restaurant business and started catering to the Russian military. That's how he got to be Putin's "chef." And now he's running a mercenary group proxy Russian military who has command of Russian weapons and tanks

No way a guy like that would have command of Russian weapons and tanks without Putin's direct hand

So, Putin gets what's coming to him

10 ( +11 / -1 )

Steady success, steady progress?

seems both posters getting the same false narrative from the same place.

reality from your own controlled media.

“Early stages of Ukrainian counteroffensive ‘not meeting expectations,’ Western officials tell CNN”

“These villages were liberated in Ukraine’s grinding counteroffensive. They’re little more than ruins.”

-32 ( +0 / -32 )

Reports coming in, Russian attack helicopters are attacking the Wagner Group. Putin says this is the same as the Russian Revolution in 1917.

Is Prigozhin the new Lenin?

10 ( +11 / -1 )

Rostov-on-Don is not just a sizable city - it's a command center for the Russian military on that part of Ukraine

These disruptions would not be good for the Russian troop campaign and morale

12 ( +13 / -1 )

Colonel Brendan Kearney, Former chief of staff , US Marines Corp in Europe stated on BBC about 35 minutes ago, " No one knows what's going on in Russia, and if we want to figure out what's going on in Russia, Good Luck." meaning we never will.

7 ( +8 / -1 )

Tough day for the Russians and their supposedly "neutral" fans.

Being unable to beat Ukraine, they've decided to start beating themselves.

10 ( +11 / -1 )

Steady success, steady progress?

seems both posters getting the same false narrative from the same place.

Yes. What do you take issue with my statement? Please be specific.

reality from your own controlled media.

Our control media? lol What on Earth are you talking about? Where does one get news from that isn't this "controlled media" you speak of.

8 ( +9 / -1 )

"Excessive ambitions and vested interests have led to treason," Putin said in a televised address,

He forgot the “My” at the beginning of that statement.

11 ( +12 / -1 )

There's now a huge explosion, likely oil depot, in the Russian city of Varonezh - halfway between Rostov-on-Don and Moscow

Seems Russian military helicopters have fired on Wagner Group convey there, moving north to Moscow

6 ( +7 / -1 )

Maybe the Russians can tactically nuke themselves.

9 ( +11 / -2 )

A nation with nuclear weapons stationed all over the place.

A nation collapsing.

A nation with the most educated leaving.

A nation on the brink of civil war.

The Checkens are watching.

This is not a situation to smirk about.

10 ( +11 / -1 )

How funny. Putin will be begging for NATO protection soon.

9 ( +12 / -3 )

Some people will take any tangent they can to avoid criticizing the Russians.

9 ( +10 / -1 )

A lot of people worried in the GOP today, their next paycheck looks impossible!!!

8 ( +9 / -1 )

@Blacklabel

The Ukraine “offensive” is so weak that Russia has time/energy to even fight each other while they waiting.

It's finally official. Our favorite provider of reliably warped commentary over the years has finally confirmed his identity as a grunt employed in a Russian troll farm, assuming "he" is not a "bot" of some sort. And here I was, thinking you were a real, concerned (not to mention deluded) American citizen, Comrade Blacklabel.

16 ( +17 / -1 )

The left doesn’t fully control CNN? Yet they publish that your offensive is slow, ineffectual and not meeting western expectations.

They are free to publish that because they aren't controlled by the left.

We realize that you're having another bad right wing day, doesn't mean you should have an illogical bad right wing day.

10 ( +11 / -1 )

Probably just another trick to fool the west….

-19 ( +1 / -20 )

Voronezh is much further up the road to Moscow. Military zones now seized and major explosions reported.

Karma is a bitch, tiny little Vladimir. I guess he's going out like Hitler - in the bunker on amphetamines fawning over years out of date maps. Heh.

9 ( +10 / -1 )

Ukraine is not making steady progress. Per? Everyone

Lol Yes they are. What are you talking about?

The left doesn’t fully control CNN? Yet they publish that your offensive is slow, ineffectual and not meeting western expectations.

Don't answer a question with a question. You claim that people are only getting their news from western "controlled media." Well where do you get your news?

Yet they publish that your offensive is slow, ineffectual and not meeting western expectations.

And yet little by little IS moving forward. Guess fascist Russia shouldn't have invaded, huh.

10 ( +12 / -2 )

Such a pity Russia does not have a friend close by who could have helped. Someone like Ukraine. But since they chose to make Ukraine an enemy, there will be no help from across the border. Now they have an internal and external fight on their hands, or a war on two fronts.

Putin is in trouble and the cracks are widening in Russia. I have no doubt the Russian military can handle 25k private troops. But if large sections of the military back Wagner there will indeed be civil war and Russia will come apart.

Ukraine should take this opportunity to offer Putin peace if he immediately withdraws all troops from all of Ukraine. Those troops can then turn around and contain Wagner.

Interesting days ahead. Troubling days ahead for Russia. Uncertain days ahead for Ukraine as always.

Probably just another trick to fool the west….

We'll be here to remind the pro fascist posters of their support for Putin in the dying days of his rotten despotic regime.. ..

12 ( +13 / -1 )

Probably just another trick to fool the west….

Pretty *impressive theater. Even moving the opposite direction from Ukraine. Yep, just another trick.

This is not a situation to smirk about.

Actually Gary, I do agree, even though my comments may look like I’m enjoying this, it is not something that any of us should be complacent about. The risk has actually gone up for everyone because of this.

11 ( +12 / -1 )

Probably just another trick to fool the west….

Sure , pooti will get Wagner to remove him just to trick the west.

Fascists and their apologists are really not smart people!!!

17 ( +18 / -1 )

After 100 billion dollars of Western support, the Ukrainians need to count on Russians to beat other Russians as their only Chance to win?

A 100 billion dollars to take down pootin seems like a good investment.

Does it work differently in running imaginary businesses????

11 ( +12 / -1 )

Probably just another trick to fool the west….

Totally. Such copium from the pro-invasion crowd.

Off to weep into my waifu pillow!

8 ( +9 / -1 )

Fascists v Nazis.

Here's hoping they wreak as much damage and havoc upon themselves as possible - and that Mini-Me Putin gets weakened yet more by this.

Keep standing above them, brave Ukrainians.
