I don't care what nation this aircraft is from I just hope for the best and pray for those affected. Any aviation accident is usually catastrophic.

If the information is true then it is unfortunate, but when it involves Russia, I always wonder whether it is some type of plot. Are the top Russian brass trying to "drain the swamp", or are they trying to make these people disappear for a secret mission? Is it even possible that it is a devious plan for Russia to justify going all in to Syria like Bush justified attacking Irag?

With Russia's track record the last couple of years, it is hard to tell!

Or maybe a mechanical accident. Aeroflot stopped flying TU-154s seven years ago.
