Blowing up apartment buildings full of civilians out of spite seems to be about all the Russians are still capable of doing now. And it ain’t going to save them.

A Russian missile demolished an apartment block in a Ukrainian region that Moscow says it has annexed, killing at least three people,

Death, the Russian form of liberation. Putin, go hide under your big table in one of your palaces, bring your murdering hordes back to Russia, leave Ukraine alone, let Ukrainian people decide how to run their country. if some individuals want to be part of Russia give them Russian passports and let them shift across the border; that way Russia might be able to get more cannon fodder for the Kremlin's next war, which might not be led by Putin, instead by another Kremlin thug, the nastiest one able to fight off the other thugs competing to replace Vlad the Short and run the gas station.

“A Russian missile demolished an apartment block in a Ukrainian region that Moscow says it has annexed”

So by Russian ‘logic’ they killed their own citizens. Is that ‘liberation’?

Blowing up apartment buildings full of civilians

But doing that some say helped Putin get elected.

Rainyday,

fully agreed! Can't achieve anything major on the frontline (actually retreating and getting their a.. kicked everywhere), so they decide to terrorize civilians, nuking civilian infrastructure. No just housing areas but also dams, and others.

But things are not looking good for them at all, whether it's on the frontline or at home. Trying to find the black sheep, like Shoigun, others blaming Putin already, the collapse of the so-called Russian Empire will happen soon!

Former Russian PM thinks so. He thinks in the next two years Russia will have a new president, but not someone suited to the job, and it’s going to lead to the end of the current system in Russia. A lot of people making a lot of different predictions though.

700K Russian men are reported to have left Russia for neighboring countries ... some even took a 300 boat ride to get the America and have requested asylum: https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-us-canada-63160469

Two Russians sail to Alaska seeking asylum in US

Alaska has lots of places with Russian names, even today. Doubtful these 2 are great bringers of inside knowledge. They just wanted an excuse to seek their American dream. I don't see them being refused. Compared to Siberia, western North Dakota will be a complete dream land. ;)

If too many Russian military leaders are scapegoated, one of them should address the real leadership issue.

A reminder of Moscow's abilty to strike unarmed civilians when their forces have been piushed back...

As ugly as these attacks are they are never going to alter the military balance in Russia's favor. When the US, French and British took out a Syrian chemical weapons facility they did it with 100 cruise missiles that hit targets with great accuracy, and it didn't make much of a dent in their inventory of available weapons doing it. We used to train anticipating the Russians/Soviets would shoot hundreds of missiles at us in one big ugly "stream raid" hoping to saturate our defenses but so far in a real live war the Russians have shown no ability to mount such an attack. The most cruise missiles I have seen them shoot in one day is maybe six aimed at widely different targets. Most of the time it is like this attack, just one or two missiles. Many accounts say the Russian do not have all that many precision guided weapons available to use. With that in mind and from a practical stand point it seems like a waste of a weapon that could have been more productively employed against a military target. If you are a field commander and have only so many missiles at your disposal, are you going to use them blowing up apartments or use them blowing up enemy formations who are advancing on your positions? The quality of Russian military decision making seems exceedingly poor.

Putin slashed out over his military losses with Ukraine troops regaining 12 miles of some parts of the occupied regions.

some even took a 300 boat ride to get the America and have requested asylum:

Considering the distances, sea surface temperature and weather those two Russians are supremely fortunate to have found a shoreline that belonged to any nation. It makes me wonder if there were perhaps some other Russian recruits who tried their luck in a boat and never came ashore anywhere? Are they even alive or will their boat wash up somewhere someday like the ghost boats that wash up on Japanese beaches ?

Good thing is that Ukraine has brought its front lines close enough so that it can utilize howitzers instead of the more expensive NATO-supplied systems, which they can reserve for more strategic strikes such as logistic sites. Russia is reeling and will not recover.

Putin has promoted the TikTok warrior kadyrov to colonel general. Will he walk the walk & head off to the war front now ? Or stay at home making TikTok videos ?

is it just me, or does he look like a dwarf from LOTR

There was no immediate comment from Russia

Let me guess. It was a Nazi apartment block.

Eventually the Russian public will see through Putin's BS, and hopefully he'll end up like Mussolini, Ceausescu, Gaddafi, or Saddam.

This nonsense cannot continue forever.

Zelenskiy should stop pushing NATO to intervene. That really would start WWIII.

Putin having an accident wouldn't. It would allow this all to start winding down.

Stop treating Ukraine as a FPS and just bump off the person responsible for all of this. Or pay the Russian Mafia to.

Always target the leader. Anything else is a war crime, politicians playing games with peoples' lives.

-15 ( +5 / -20 )

Putin is going to make the Zaporizhzhia NPP Russian property and connect it to the Russian grid.

7 ( +8 / -1 )

Look Out , Putin is getting Humiliated and loosing on every front, these are dangerous times.

10 ( +11 / -1 )

@GBR

Stop treating Ukraine as the aggressor.

the only war crimes being committed are by Russia.

the only politician playing games with peoples lives is Putin

He will send his sons instead.

What would that solve though? All the guys lined up waiting to try to replace Putin are just as bad, if not worse.

Very good point.

The Putin apologists are conspicuous by their absence on this story. I can understand why, but I was hoping to read something giving the other side.

I hope either the Americans or us take those Ruskies that sailed to the remote Alaskan island. Gutsy move.

I respect them not wanting to be involved in this madness.

Either us or the Americans grant them asylum I'm hoping.

kadyrov the dwarf might be one of these.

while he’s been talking tough, he & his army of TikTok warriors have been cowering in the safety of their homeland.

If the Russian army is defeated, & Putin is dethroned, I wouldn’t be surprised to see kadyrov & his TikTok army (of around 30,000) stage a coup, & attempt to insert him as the new leader.

Blow up an apartment building of an area it claims is part of Russia.

This is the typical behavior of a domestic abuser. "If I cannot have you, nobody can!"

9 ( +11 / -2 )

It is high time--past time--that Putin be retired.

10 ( +11 / -1 )

The people of Ukraine do not want to bow to Putin's will, so he is punishing them. What a petty man he is.

NATO isn't intervening. They have zero troops in Ukraine.

Mr. Kadyrov is going to be running from his own people soon. The independence movements in Chechnya and Dagestan are waking up. They resent that it is the poor from the Muslim regions of Russia that are getting drafted while the sons of Moscow and Saint Petersburg are being given a pass. Chechens have already said they are going to make their move soon. I assume they see the Russian Army is in over their head in Ukraine, their troops nearing collapse and sense this will be an opportune time to make their move.

10 ( +12 / -2 )

Blow up an apartment building of an area it claims is part of Russia.

Blowing up apartment buildings inside Russia is Vladimir Putin's calling card. It is how he came to power.

desert, I hope you are right.

that dwarf needs to go, & I hope someone TikToks it when it happens

Battlefield weapons used on non-combatant urban areas, and the war crimes keep piling up.

13 ( +14 / -1 )

Putin can generally do what he wants, because nobody got the courage to march into Moscow

-15 ( +2 / -17 )

Yrral,

nobody has to move into Moscow (just a minor correction).

Sooner than later he will be taken care of - remember those high level windows?

The point, however, is that Russians have to become stronger, those opposing this regime.

Just eliminating Putin isn't enough, those who are still members of the so-called "Federation" have to break away, end this farce. In addition, those who really want to live in peace and freedom have to do more than just run away! Resistance from within!

9 ( +10 / -1 )

No rhyme or reason to these missile strikes on random targets inside cities and towns. There is no military value and any attempt to put fear into Ukraine citizens has long ago failed. This shows the Russian military leaders have no strategy to win this war.

Word vomit. I mean come on, you're here all day, every day. You could at least put a few hours aside to study basic grammar. Or just go away altogether.

Rear-guard Yrral on the case.

You should go to Ukraine, sorry "New Russia". They could use someone like you to cover their retreat.

The Russian military for all it mayday parades displaying it's hardware is being humiliated in battle.

In remarks to Australia's Lowy Institute, Zelenskiy said NATO should launch preventive strikes on Russia to preclude its use of nuclear weapons. Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov denounced the comments as "an appeal to start yet another world war with unpredictable, monstrous consequences," according to RIA news agency.

This missile attack is proof enough that the annexation was no more than a political charade, or worse an admission that this so called Russian sovereign territory, it people are meaningless cannon fodder and in danger of a tactical nuclear strike.

Zelenskyy wants NATO to intervene, he really wants a world war, doesn't he, considering it was NATO and the rogue state of the USA that instigated this skirmish.

Perhaps it was more like a MAYDAY! parade with the Russian Army saying "Emergency!" and we just didn't get it?

Every single part of this is false.

Z doesn't want NATO to intervene. The UA is doing a fine job of kicking Russian ass all by itself, thank you very much. All he wants are the tools to do it with. (NATO says "You got yourself a deal!")

NATO and the US did not start this. Russian did, after lying and saying it had no plans to invade.

Let's see.

Kremlin talking points.... Check

One wonders......

Zelenskyy wants NATO to intervene, he really wants a world war, doesn't he,

He wants his country free of Russian invaders and murderers. Nothing strange about wanting that.

considering it was NATO and the rogue state of the USA that instigated this skirmish.

No, it was Putin and Russia that instigated this invasion of Ukraine. All for territorial gain as Putin has already confessed. Why keep trying the failed narrative that this was started by those not involved? First it was Nazi's that started this, then corrupt Ukraine politicians, then NATO and the US. Pointing fingers at everyone but those actually responsible who are all in the Kremlin.

The world (even China) knows well, that this is 100 percent on Russia and nobody else.
