Crimea is Ukraine.

It's long passed time, 19months in fact, for Russian military forces and their civilian backers to pack bags and head back to actual Russian territory where they need to take care of the many problems within the Russian border.

Russia will prevail. Ukraine knows this, NATO knows this, the U.S. knows this.
This is about degrading Russia's capabilities and about about ensuring monies spent on supporting Ukraine make it into the bank accounts of Zelensky, his cohorts and all of the corrupt grifters in the U.S. and European governments.

According to the Turks, the Kremenchug airport, from where cruise missiles were fired at the Crimea-Sevastopol, was hit by Russia with a large number of cruise missiles. No air raid signals were received. It is assumed that the X-50 stealth cruise missiles were used.
The SCALP and Storm Shadow missiles delivered to the airbase and the Su-24M/MR bombers that carried out today's attack were destroyed.
A large number of firefighters and ambulances have been sent to the airfield. There are heavy losses of pilots and ground personnel, as well as NATO personnel, including Poles, who coordinate the raids and help with missile maintenance.
There could be American personnel. So soon meet your heroes in boxses

There is a proverb: Russians are slow to start but quick to finish.
So ... as soon as possible

Putin smell blood in the water, that not going well for Ukrainain,it no more than a stalemate, Ukraine are being blown apart in trenches along with Russian, Russian are not our enemies,we have Russian American, when you say Russian, you mean all Russian around the world, even our loyal American Russian

Seems like a valid target: Russia targets restaurants, markets and apartment buildings claiming they are used by soldiers. We all know it is just an excuse for the domestic audience as no one not swallowing regular Kremlin garbage could believe it.
Mr Kipling
The people living there would not agree with this statement. Check back in 5 years and we will see who is right.

How could the Russians "invade" Crimea if they've been there since the 19th century?
TaiwanIsNotChina
It's already being shelled regularly. We'll check back in five years and see either a smoking crater or Ukraine running the place.
UChosePoorly
Because it has been internationally recognized as Ukrainian territory since 1991. That’s why. You would be upset if someone just took a chunk of Russian land and called it theirs, so I imagine you can understand how the Ukrainians feel.
Thuban
Only because Khruschev, a Ukrainian dictator of the USSR stole it from the Russia and transferred it to the Ukrainian Republic without asking the local residents.
The USSR was an occupying regime and committed many horrific crimes against the people of Russia.
Historical wrongs and injustices need to be acknowledged and corrected.
UChosePoorly
Don’t care about Russia’s excuses.
UChosePoorly
Are you ok with others claiming current RF territory that they may have historical claims on? Or would that be different in your mind?

*There is a proverb: *Russians are slow to start but quick to finish.
That's not a Russian proverb but a German bon mot (Bismark). More to the point, better to paraphrase that famous proverb all Russians know: "To fight a war is not like crossing a field". The Ukrainian hit on the Black Sea Fleet HQ is just a shot across the bow to let the Russians know they're loosening the arm tied behind their back and there will be much more to come before the occupiers say goodbye to their Crimean villas.

Khruschev was Russian, not Ukrainian.

Typical with our pro-Russian posters here - when the bad news comes in they up the faux bravado...
Ukraine is sinking the Russian Navy in the Black Sea without any ships of their own...the Moskva has been under water for over a year now and this week we saw images of the both the Landing ship Minsk and the Kilo submarine Rotov-on-Don with huge holes in their sides and burnt to a crisp...
https://www.businessinsider.com/russian-sub-battered-ukraine-missile-attack-brutal-damage-naval-expert-2023-9
Besides sinking the Russian Navy, Ukraine is breaching Russian defensive lines and re-taking off-shore platforms...
The Russians in turn, are bombing their own troops....
It's just a matter of time before Ukraine pushes the Russian invaders back to Mother Russia with their tails between their legs...
And then what happens to Putin - a little Novichuk on his chair or an accidental fall from an 8th story window?

Bismark really said something like:that a Russian man harnesses the horse slowly but drives fast. And what does that change for you, cobaka? bragged that you know how to use Google? The most important thing is that you are reading and trembling:)
The other proverb sounds the way: to live a life is not a field to cross. No "war".
What did you want to say with your bs? Do you want to know other news from the rus-ukr front? U would enjoy
TaiwanIsNotChina
Following that logic, Russia needs to be returned to Mongolia.

Russians think it is perfectly natural to have to take a train through another country's territory to get to theirs.

Russia still controls almost 20% of Ukraine territory.

greetings from X50 to Kremenchug, heroi and their US friends who are located there may get my lines right.survivors are busy to pack black vinyl body bags now.
Crimea was a part of USSR/Ukrainian soviet socialistic republic/ and yes Nikita was ethnic ukrainian from Kalinovka.
Crimea became parts of Russian federation after referendum in 2014./there were more attempts in past as UA rulers have cancelled all referendums in past/.

Nope. It was a sham referendum.

Its funny how over the past 19 months reactions to this kind of mantra has evolved.
February 2022: Evokes genuine concern since it seems probable.
Summer 2022: Seems less likely but the Russians have a lot of artillery so we can’t dismiss it completely.
Fall 2022: Watching drunk Russians getting bogged down in their retreat by the weight of looted washing machines strapped to the cars they stole robs it of any sort of ominous value whatsoever.
Spring 2023: Russian winter offensive results make it look like a joke.
September 2023: You kind of just feel sorry for the people desperately and pathetically clinging to it whenever they see yet another Russian thing go boom.

Crimea was Ukrainian for a few years. The Crimean people chose to rejoin Russia.
Ukraine will not get it back.

Khrushchev was born, indeed, on the territory of the Russian Empire. Donbass and Kursk region were parts of the same Russ Empire .Etnic Ukranien or half-pole, nobody still knows. But not Russian for sure. At the age of 14, he moved with his family to the Donbass. since then, his whole life was devoted to Ukraine until 1949. He had been wearing embroidery ( vyshivanka) all the life. Russians do not wear vyshivanka, the Russian shirt is a kosovorotka.
ClippetyClop
Russia believes that democracy should be conducted at gunpoint, and that the only choice is the one at the other end of that gun.
Not really a very credible way to conduct 'democracy', wouldn't you agree?
Silly question. You like Putin making your decisions for you.

Applying the logic of these principles to Russia, most of Russian territory should not be part of Russia since it only controls it by virtue of having violently suppressed the right to self determination of the various ethnic peoples living there.
Out of curiosity do you support the breakup of the Russian Federation, or do your principles only apply to Ukraine?
Keepyer Internetpoints
I cannot complain about militaries hitting war targets during a war. But I can say it is good that Ukraine hit a war target rather than a bridge that was built to supply the people of Crimea with food and water during a drought created by Kiev when it built a dam on the Ukraine side of the canal that supplied Crimea with water.
They killed civilians on that bridge and they know perfectly well its mostly civilian traffic on that bridge.
And there is lots more we are not being told as the corporate media focuses on intentional Russian attacks on civilians while ignoring Ukraine's, and also downplaying Ukraine's mistakes while emphasizing Russian ones, or outright blaming Russia for things Ukraine did, like with the missile strike in Donestk.
The unbalance of the reporting is gross and should be a criminal offense its so outrageous.
This is gross and completely ignores the rights of the people of Crimea. Crimeans have long had issues with being a part of Ukraine, hence why it was not an oblast but called an "autonomous republic" and was supposed to have special rights. Well those problems hit the fan a few times and the people of Crimea don't want to be part of Ukraine anymore. Why is that so hard to accept or understand?
