@RB - I'm sure the US is doing this out of its kind heart without any ulterior motives.

What will these protesters have to say when North Korea one day decides to live up to it's threat of turning South Korea into a Sea of Blood? Or was that a Sea of Fire? Whatever. Same mentality as the Okinawans protesting US bases there while some Chinese PLA hawks are talking about how "Okinawa doesn't belong to Japan".

I'm predicting even more comments like "Those people don't know what's good for them", "They're ungrateful to the guys who just wants to protect them", "Fine, let them fend for themselves and we'll see what happens", "We don't want to be there anyways because it's a waste of our money to spend on people who won't have our backs"....

I sympathize with the people of Seongju wholeheartedly .

They are fully aware that Comrad Kim's missiles are tremendously inaccurate so it might hit their homes , farms, hospitals and schools instead of the THAAD site!

Besides these folks knew that North Korea wants to talk with the mighty USA but the Americans refused.

Just like in Okinawa these Amerikanos just don't listen to the voices of the locals cuz they believe and act like they own even yar backyard!

And oh boy ! Once their weapons of mass destruction arrives then they stay there forever just like in Naha and Tokyo.

Simple solution: Don't install the radar system in Seongju or anywhere else in South Korea where it;s not wanted. Ship the system back to the US and use it to protect US citizens and resources. Further, I suggest this rationale be applied to US military systems in Okinawa and any other location where our military assets aren't wanted.

The protest should have remained peaceful. Throwing eggs, water-bottles does not help your cause. -This sort of conduct is highly illegal in SK also.

The US refused because North Korea doesn't want South Korea and Japan on the table, but South Korea and Japan and China also want to be on the table. So instead, US listened to their allies South Korea and Japan, and they refuse to talk with North Korea without South Korea and Japan on the table too.
