Park will be the next to go.

When she does, I expect to see several hundred Diet members dancing a conga line down Ginza-dori.

Ms. President. You should resign too!

I am thinking there are people in the gov with far greater direct responsibility for all that happened than the PM or the prez. Who are they and what did they mess up?

Park's scapegoat.

So Obama goes all the way to SK to parlay with the PM and the day after he leaves, the PM quits.

First the Captain and crew and now the Prime Minister, President Park is trying to give the angry mob as many sacrifices as she can. But, the people aren't happy with these offerings. The one they really want is President Park.

President Park will do whatever she can to stay in power. I am surprised that she hasn't tried to change public outrage against her administration by creating some drama against Japan.

But, the month isn't over yet and if President Park gets more desperate she will turn to her favorite whipping-boy.

If someone has to take the fall for this accident it should be Park. It will satisfy the South Korean people and put US regional policy back on track at the same time.

JoeBigs is on the money.

Won't be long before Park goes to the ever reliable anti Japan rantings to cover up her own failures and to divert attention away from this disaster (and her presidency).

“There are too many irregularities and malpractices in parts of society that have been with us too long and I hope those are corrected so that accidents like this will not happen again.”

-The most honest thought in regards to the Sewol accident that I have seen yet.

The people/media/Gov keep trying to pin this event on one person even while they are still getting bodies and possibly survivors out. What should have happened is that 100% effort should have been on rescue. Then gathering information on what really happened. Work the situation out in court then make the corrective measures to assure that this does not happen again.

The way I look at it is that all these students were and still are caught in a cycle of greed (political/economic) that is systemic of Korea (people/politics/economics) and all this needs to change for things to get better. IT seems to me people are afraid at looking at themself(s) and making those positive corrections.

I think Prime minister is great man and very sincere to nation. you know in my country, thousands of people die in one go , still government officials hold seat and enjoy their overseas tours. korea is really great.

semperfi Park will be the next to go.

She said, she's sorry, she can't sleep and her heart is heavy.

She's an incompetent leader. She should resign too. At least the Prime minister have a little shame.
