Possible she returned on her own volition - but, my god, look at that face! She's terrified, not just for herself but for her family.

Wouldn't be surprised. But oh boy she's the last person on the planet I'd want to be right now, assuming she's alive. Or perhaps the entire thing was set up by NK secemret service from the beginning as a just a fancy propaganda stunt - gotta try harder and harder to make sure their citizens know the rest of the world outside is absolute hell compared to the promised land.

To use the parlance of our times, this is fake news.

South Korean Tv shows make and poke fun at their Northern neighbours , unfortunately the defector refugees get the backlash of this and are often forced to live in slum areas on a meager government subsidy. See for yourself the glitzy life style of Guryong shanty town.

Not possible to trust either side with the meagre information so far. Not a happy bunny, by the looks of things.

Really?

Oh, I have so many questions...

She has a Chinese husband in China who she used to go and visit, apparently, but this time she left everything inside her Seoul apartment intact, showing no sign that she would be away for long.

Whatever. Have a nice LIFE, what's gunna' be LEFT of it, with your "Dear Leader".

Boo Hoo. You lived in the North, complained about it and thought you could have a better life in the South ONLY if you could be famous on tv. That didn't pan out as you envisioned it, so you return to the North and complain about the South, and all the people obsessed with the very same lifestyle you wanted and left the North for. Make up your mind, or at least now your mind will definitely be made up for you. Adios.

She was a spy sent to SK.

What leads you to this speculation? Why is the apparent liklihood of a defector who became famous in SKorea having returned to NKorea, either willfully or unwillingly and abducted, questionable?

Kidnapped back, no one wants to live in NK.

i saw so many homeless people in London. boatloads are coming threw Libya. what prospects do they have? not enough information, but sometimes to stay in your own familiar environment maybe a good choice. it doesn't rain gold in SK. you will be forced with envangelical propaganda and experience racial prejudice. feel sorry for her family.

"But on Sunday Lim abruptly appeared in a video on the North's propaganda network."

Funny i view all TV as propaganda from RT - AJ - BBC - CNN and lets not forget good old NHK.
