The gyms are right to defy the lockdown. Being fit makes you stronger against the virus.

Not at all. Many cases of seriously ill or even dead high-level sportmen have been reported.

How much stronger? What is the difference in contagiousness to someone who is fit vs. someone who is not?

Because the idea that going to the gym will protect you from coronavirus sounds like the bro science I've heard going around the internet, that I've never seen any actual doctors promoting.

I do not understand people exercising indoors. Outdoor exercise is far better. Even in winter, it is nice to run outdoors as my body is quickly warmed and I do not need to drink water. Running at the freezing temperature is especially nice. BTW, in summer, I have to drink water every 10 minutes.

I guess that explains why there are so many occasions of professional athletes and multiple members of professional teams coming down with Covid-19? Please, at least make halfway informed comments.

Depends on how cold or hot it is. Also depends on whether it's blowing snow or the sidewalks are a sheet of ice. Jogging in Connecticut in the winter? I still have bruises on my backside from trying. Not everyone salts, sands or shovels their sidewalk. Much nicer to jog or play basketball inside the big five deck field house our college had.

Summers outdoors in daytime where I live are dangerous, even deadly. 45 - 50 C is common. There are cities in the US where the temperature never goes below 37C, day or night, for a couple of months. Phoenix for example. Equipment left outdoors is too hot to touch. This is a place where people cut up old socks to cover their door handles and such so they don't suffer burns. And you suggest working out outdoors in such high temperatures?
