Betnie needs to break through the possibility of a brokered convention where basically every other candidate is plotting to steal the nomination from him even if he has a plurality (the most delegates of any one candidate). If he does not have over half of the delegates the convention will be a brokered one where he may end up not getting the nomination. Bernie can be the candidate with the most votes and delegates but if he does not have over half of the pledged delegates he could get robbed because the DNC is a joke. If he becomes the nominee he will crush Trump in the general most likely. The democratic party establishment is a bigger threat to Sanders than Trump by miles. DNC would prefer running a candidate like Bloomberg or Biden into Trump anyway because Sanders winning would mean the DNC gets completely overhauled in terms of its management (if I remember correctly the nominee is allowed to reappoint DNC positions). And also the donors to the democratic establishment do not want Sanders over Trump at all. Establishment democrats and republicans are basically just one party that lives to serve big business. Sanders violates the consensus on neoliberal corporatism so they will do anything they can to stop him from winning...

Great news! Well done Senator Sanders and your supporters. There is hard work yet ahead.

5 ( +6 / -1 )

Just 9 more months until I can quit my job, kick back on the couch all day, and get all my free stuff!

Yeah because reality is right-wing rhetoric, right?

Seems legit. Carry on.

5 ( +8 / -3 )

to those that want Sanders to win because they think it ,s gonna be easier for Trump : careful what you wish for . . . . . .

5 ( +6 / -1 )

Pleasantly surprised to see Buttigieg doing pretty well considering he was supposed to do very poorly in states with large minority population. Biden is done. I think it's going to be Sanders vs. Buttigieg at Democratic National Convention.

4 ( +4 / -0 )

Well if nothing else, American elections are entertaining,

Keep the popcorn ready! It will be epic entertainment to watch how the Democrat swamp shuts down Sanders, and how the furious Bernie fans react.

4 ( +6 / -2 )

Didn't someone say Sanders would be held down until Bloomberg took the lead?

2 ( +4 / -2 )

Trump will lose the popular vote again. The question is whether he can win the biased EC again.

2 ( +6 / -4 )

Trump needs to step up the trash now Sanders is clearly leading the pack. ‘Crazy Bernie’ isn’t really cutting it. Perhaps if Bernie gets delusional about where his dad was born, sees crowds that don’t exist and starts retweeting conspiracy nonsense, the name might suit.

2 ( +3 / -1 )

Didn't someone say Sanders would be held down until Bloomberg took the lead?

Sabotage is always a bit of a fly-by-wire sort of deal. Plans are made and abandoned as the situation changes. Then new plans are drawn up. Decent Americans better keep their eye on the ball every single last little step of the way if they want an actual fair primary and election. America has been controlled by crooked slime for far too long to just trust anyone or anything besides their own two eyes and hands.

2 ( +2 / -0 )

Biden losing by 26% and claiming how revitalized his campaign is.

Biden is responsible for every eye that has ever twitched, anywhere. Except for the ones Sanders is responsible for. Which is all of them.

2 ( +3 / -1 )

Don't forget Scott Baio...Chachi Loves Donnie...

Whose vote counts the same amount as yours or even more if you not from USA. darn it. Mocking really gets you nowhere, what did chachi ever do to you?

He's a Loser - just like Donnie...

Well, we know Trump has two; Kanye and Ben Carson - not many after that...

8 percent worth. likely 20 percent this time unless you run biden. Way more than your RINO heroes Romney and McCain

If you think Black Americans are going to vote for a guy that gave a medal to a white supremacist that told a black female caller; "Take that bone out of your nose"....well, I have some Chinese-made Trump ties to sell you...

2 ( +3 / -1 )

make it as easy for Trump as you can; he needs a break from his enemies

Are you calling American citizens who don't approve of Trump 'enemies', while saying Russian interference - that that benefits Trump and his band of Republicans - in US politics is acceptable?

1 ( +4 / -3 )

the US. It's a multi-generational, multi-racial nation. And that apparently worries so many Trump supporters, especially those baby boomers in the majority ethnic demographic who want to return to the time, maybe 1950s, when their parents had greater control over 'the others'

The times when family gathered together and supported one another regardless of times or needs. Neighbors were just that neighbors and each knew and looked out for one another. Doesn't sound so bad. Respect and proper dress attire in public, persons took care of their health, mind and bodies not make trash themselves. Morals which brings respect vs today where no self respect for anyone much less themselves and the Me Me Me, where political correctness has gone to far. No thank you. There is no control going on back then just proper raising of kids, but today that doesnt' exist. There are traditions worth saving and keeping, once you lose moral and respect you have a lost society easily manipulated by social programs and systems and if you are talking about control well GOVERNMENT control is what you get and with that comes the REAL , OPRESSION.

@ Viktor Cernatinskij

I share your fears. When the young Ralph Nader asked his father why there wasn't a third party in America, he was told, " I'd be happy if there were just two." If only the self-deluded supporters of the rotten Republican brand of Trumpism could look into the mirror that disillusioned and world-weary Hans Christian Andersen held up for us all and see themselves, they might feel life-changing shame for mistaking the phony Trump for a real president. Let's hope enough people will wake up to the smell of the rancid covfefe and vote for a Trump-free future.

There are four certainties in life.

Death

Taxes

Bernie or whoever the Dem nominee is will not win 2020

Socialism will never work

who do you like to see paired with Bernie?

a) Warren

Warren ruined her chance to be Bernie's VP when she called him a liar.

b) Gabbard

Being as how she's the only sane one running, a resounding yes, as his VP is likely to become president sometime during his term should Trump get us into an unnecessary war and the economy tanks enabling them to win the election.

c) Harris

Good grief, hell no! She's was the worst one running.

d) Obama

Michelle? She's not interested in saving her country from bad orange man. Really disappointing.

e) Baldwin

Har!

I saw a recent poll which found 8 out of 10 black people believing Trump is a racist.

Yeah? I saw this Zogby poll which has Trump with 22% black support:

https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/washington-secrets/trump-expanding-base-of-black-hispanic-suburban-voters-has-51-approval

1 ( +3 / -2 )

who do you suggest take his place?

If Trump has proved one thing, it is that anyone can become a president, even someone as spectacularly incompetent as the ignorant, mentally-challenged, vulgar windbag from the lower depths of the political swamp.

1 ( +2 / -1 )

Whose vote counts the same amount as yours or even more if you not from USA. darn it. Mocking really gets you nowhere, what did chachi ever do to you?

They’re the undesirables remember, the uneducated B-stars as they claim. But why would Democrats care about them?

multi-generational, multi-racial coalition

That's the US. It's a multi-generational, multi-racial nation. And that apparently worries so many Trump supporters, especially those baby boomers in the majority ethnic demographic who want to return to the time, maybe 1950s, when their parents had greater control over 'the others'. (see separate but equal, etc.) When in history has any nation improved by going back to some past era, often a time that'd been mythologized. But then many Trump supporters use 'progress' as a negative. Many are fossils, frozen in time, unable to reason beyond some vague, misunderstood history, supporting the fossils running last century's fossil economy.

Carriage before the horse, but who do you like to see paired with Bernie?

a) Warren

b) Gabbard

c) Harris

We all know Trump is in serious mental decline - he can't even remember where is father was born. Now, he's seeing "spies" and "traitors" behind every plant in the WH. It's just like Nixon - severe paranoia.

Bernie, if he's the nominee, will defeat him soundly in Nov - if, and its a big if, we can keep Trump and the Repubs from openly colluding with Russia and letting Putin continue to interfere.

Today we learn that not only in the election, but Russia is trying to harm America by spreading disinformation about Corona - that's its a US plot.

https://foreignpolicy.com/2020/02/14/russia-blame-america-coronavirus-conspiracy-theories-disinformation/

If Trump can't even keep Clint Eastwood inside the cult, it's over...

Biden losing by 26% and claiming how revitalized his campaign is.

-1 ( +2 / -3 )

Yes sabotage was in the cards but they had no idea how horrible Bloomberg is. plus didn’t know Warren would help Bernie escape by taking out mike on those NDAs like she did.

so on to Russia nonsense plus use everyone but Warren to full on attack him

another puzzling post. Trump was neither a repub or dem, something of a hybrid, after watching both parties debacles over the decades. he was the answer to that. He had to side with the repubs as that is who he can align with, the do nothing dems have nothing in common. Im not deluded, I feel Trump and his policies are getting allot of things done.

who do you suggest take his place? the only one capable now on the loon team is mayor pete but dude has no credibility. Biden has lost it, something is mentally wrong with this guy. the rest are unsuitable.

-1 ( +1 / -2 )

This nonsensical type comment doesn’t work once there are election results of voters. Results matters. Go Bernie!

Biden is responsible for every eye that has ever twitched, anywhere. Except for the ones Sanders is responsible for. Which is all of them.

-1 ( +2 / -3 )

tRump should win re-election so that America draws closer to a much-needed revolution where tenets of the original Constitution (which is old by today's standards) is reexamined with a fine toothed comb. America has slipped out of contention as a world leader already and it will only get worse, regardless of who wins the election, Sanders or tRump.

-1 ( +1 / -2 )

Pete, Bernie and Tulsi, any of them will be a great replacement for Trump when he loses in a few months.

Tulsi's not going to be the nominee, and no, Pete or Bernie would be a total disaster, especially Bernie.

But neither of them can beat Trump unless he gets us into an unnecessary war and the economy tanks, and that's not happening.

-1 ( +2 / -3 )

yep anyone except the candidates who Dems have. Same like last election. Picked the one person who trump could beat.

If Trump has proved one thing, it is that anyone can become a president

-1 ( +1 / -2 )

Bernie against Trump is like a dash board troll against a Kodiak Grizzly, there's no way Bernie would ever get the presidency legitimately. Only Trump can do that at this point.

-1 ( +2 / -3 )

Trump will win re-election.

Perhaps posters who say this should look back at what was said about the Truman election, more recently Reagan's, Obama's and Trump's. COVID-19 is a black swan. No one predicted it. No one knows what its global economic effects will be. And though black swans can't be predicted, who knows whether another or others can appear between now and November. And though there probably aren't that many truly undecided voters, it could well be Trump messes up so badly most of that group turn to anyone-but-Trump.

No one knows.

-2 ( +0 / -2 )

Well done Bernie Sanders. Definitely the most honest and sincere of the Democrat bunch, a man with a real heart for the people. I don't think his policies are workable though. He might be sincere but he doesn't have the strength and clout to change the system or implement his ideologies. Trump, in spite of his obvious faults, does have the strength and clout and his realistic business like policies are working.

Anyway, I hope Bernie and his supporters win the nomination and that they continue to stick it to the Democrat establishment.

-2 ( +6 / -8 )

There's no reason Trump won't win

-2 ( +2 / -4 )

Jimizo:

Trump needs to step up the trash now Sanders is clearly leading the pack.

Why?? Trump would be happy to have this geriatric nutcase as his opponent. If anything, he'll support him. No, it is the warmongering establishment that will shot down Sanders.

-2 ( +3 / -5 )

Seeing as my post had factual information it would appear that you don’t agree with the facts. Nothing in my post to make fun of

-2 ( +2 / -4 )

Strangerland:

Pete, Bernie and Tulsi, any of them will be a great replacement for Trump when he loses in a few months.

That is a strange combination. One swamp monster, one nutcase, and one honest person? Strangest casting call ever.

-2 ( +1 / -3 )

We all know Trump is in serious mental decline

Riiiiiiiiiiiiight. He continues to run rings around the Democrats.

Guy who can’t get more than 3 percent black vote

Buttigieg? Yeah, he can't win a national election with that. Trump won 2016 with 8% of the black vote, he might get more than 20% this time. There is no math for the Democrats.

-2 ( +2 / -4 )

Trump won 2016 with 8% of the black vote, he might get more than 20% this time.

Tough ask. I saw a recent poll which found 8 out of 10 black people believing Trump is a racist.

-2 ( +1 / -3 )

Yeah? I saw this Zogby poll which has Trump with 22% black support:

Interesting. Did you trust the figure which had Bloomberg ahead of Trump? I hope you aren’t being selective here.

I can’t imagine you did trust it given that you believe Trump would beat any of the democratic candidates in a landslide.

-2 ( +1 / -3 )

If you think Black Americans are going to vote

Yes, they will and this is why Dems keep failing the black communities.

https://youtu.be/DWam9FSRvGI

https://youtu.be/rTHQQzVPBic

This is why he’s going to win again.

-2 ( +1 / -3 )

And yes, barring any shockingly unforeseen decline in the economy or some similar major surprise, Trump will win re-election.

Nah, the people HATE Trump. Have you not looked at how the last three elections have gone for your team? And remember, in the last election, Hillary was guilty of exactly what you guys said - campaigning in the wrong states. That's why she lost, even though she was wildly more popular than Trump. Do you really think their going to make the same mistake next time? They're going to look at exactly which states are most likely to go off Trump, and give the biggest electoral college gains.

I don't think you people understand the depths to which the people are embarrassed and disgusted by Trump. Which is making you guys guilty of that which you rightly pointed out the democrats guilty of last election; failing to realize just how angry the people were at the current president.

McDonald's VS KFC

Really? How?

he can't even remember where is father was born. Now, he's seeing "spies" and "traitors" behind every plant in the WH. It's just like Nixon - severe paranoia.

Then you should listen to Biden, Bernie or Bloomberg gaffes.

That’s like hoping the Chinese will refund Disney.

Today we learn that not only in the election, but Russia is trying to harm America by spreading disinformation about Corona - that's its a US plot.

I see, you seem surprised...

If Trump can't even keep Clint Eastwood inside the cult, it's over...

Trump got Vince Vaughn, Dennis Rodman, Gene Simmons and many more, so no big deal.

Guy who can’t get more than 3 percent black vote, a 78 year old guy who isn’t even a Democrat, or a lady who got 4 votes total today because DNC won’t let her debate.

ok then.

you cant be a socialist and be a millionare, there is no way, what a contradiction and fake. he should start selling homes, giving it all to NGOs, then I might buy what he is selling, but that makes no sense. he is a product of capitalism, no doubts at all.

-3 ( +1 / -4 )

The best guy the Democrats could ever field is Bernie Sanders.

He's the one I fear the least, not because of policy, but because he's incompetent. That said, the tribe would give him help in spades so there's that.

-3 ( +0 / -3 )

Plus according to Dems, 2 of those 3 are Russian connected. And it still concerns me that only 50% of the vote has been reported.

Let’s see how the vote percentages/delegate assignment works out in the other half when people aren’t watching anymore.

-5 ( +1 / -6 )

Seems Sanders may be on his way to earning the privilege of being soundly defeated by Trump in the general election.

And yes, barring any shockingly unforeseen decline in the economy or some similar major surprise, Trump will win re-election.
