Will she come clean about reasons the Kushners and Al Thanis in Qatar are feuding and how that's affected relations in the Gulf? Will she allow the topic of money laundering to be brought up?

The role of a Press Secretary is to publicly announce, declare or present and report a public "position", "stance", "concern" etc. about and on event or occurrence, situation, circumstance, condition and the environment of need or of interest that affect the nation on behalf of the President or the USA for the entire world as well as the USA. Therefore, the media, the Press is invited to disseminate such information through the communication systems and networks beyond what is directly available.

A release is not a "forum" for debates. It allows for questions to clarify what was stated or presented. It is one way on which it gives "transparency" to what the President is thinking of in the role of the President and not necessarily as an individual. That is why there is a need for Press Conference.

The Press Secretary is in a position of no "authority" but of extreme "responsibility" to the President, the USA and the public. He must accurately, clearly, understandably present the topic or issue and if asked, to answer and define without personal input (other than to answer or not), so as not to understate, undermine, mislead, misdirect, misinform, bias, or otherwise change the scope, intent and meaning of the topic or issue presented at the release. To do that he/she must be extremely knowledgeable, rational, stable, etc. with full awareness of the responsibility to the President and the nation as well as the impact of what is disseminated worldwide.

It is not just a matter of likable personality. He/she represents the entire nation and not just the President. So it is a critical position for the entire nation. It also takes a toll on emotional, mental and physical health. So, a change is not a negative but a positive in that we know we have others who are capable to take up that extremely difficult role and it is time for change.

Hope Sanders is able to fill that difficult role... It is especially so when the President is already in a tight spot from those that do not want much of what is happening that is detrimental to their own situation, exposed to the public.

Trump is sometimes too "transparent" via Twitter or by public appearances and rallies, that hurts or irritates those who have something to hide or do not want the public to look into because they are not "transparent". So the Press Secretary faces far greater challenges.

An example of this would be helpful since there is no evidence he has done any over-reaching yet--and don't give us any nonsense about how Trump's business dealings from prior to his running for president would be an example of "over-reach." Relationships take a long time to make, and from the looks of it, Trump has been cultivating one with the Russians for quite some time (hence one of the reasons for his refusal to release his tax returns). If something is related to the current investigations, then it can hardly be called an "over-reach."

Personally, I kind of liked Sean Spicer. You could see the cracks in his falsehoods a mile away, and you could see he hated what he was doing. It was a bit comical. At least he got to quit before having a full on thrombo. Sanders, on the other hand, seems to have no compunctions about lying, just like her dad.

Six months in and Trump and his team still look like the gang that couldn't shoot straight. As far as this switching around goes, Scaramucci, yet another Wall St. gazzilionaire, brings nothing all that notable to the table (other than being a Wall St. gazzilionaire who's a frequent guest on Fox News) in terms of media experience. However, it should be entertaining to watch and listen to as Scaramucci defends Trump, especially when he starts getting tangled up in Trump's tweets. Sadly, that's not what America needs right now. There's already too much of that going on. I can just hear Trump in the background shouting, "The show must go on!"

He can't afford to lose his base, particularly considering he's lost all other constituencies, and that southern-accented, bible belt belle would function for this purpose far better than Spicer. At the same time, he's brought in some New York muscle with the latter. It's kind of like "Gone With the Wind" if Rhett Butler were played by Carlo Rizzi.

They've each got their roles. We'll see how it goes, but they certainly have their work cut out for them. There is no way to communicate the dadaism of Trump's current state, particularly when you know he'll cut off the legs from under you with a 3:00AM tweet.

This might be better for Trump overall, Spicer was just not in his element, he was at times being a tad rude and obnoxious like Josh Earnest was. The president needs someone that can be cordial and straight, but equally a fierce bulldog if necessary, too early to tell, but Scaramucci just might be the person to deal with a difficult and more radical White House press.

But is that really the goal? To provide credibility? It would seem the goal is to make the press conferences irrelevant, which means they won't have to answer questions or give information to the American public, which they seem to think is nothing more than a nuisance.

The only thing I will give him credit for is, he had more finesse and was feistier than that train wreck Earnest.

I honestly was surprised that he lasted as long as he did because it was so obvious that the lies he was saying was lies that he was told to say by Trump only for trump to then undermine the lies he forced Spicer to say within hours or just a day of Spicer being forced to say them.

Maybe if she were barefoot and pregnant and not working in the White House you would be a little more tolerant of this 'amoral' woman. I don't know anything about her private life but perhaps it would be helpful if she wore a Scarlet A on her chest. That would provide validation for members of the press who believe they are morally superior to any and all Republicans.
