Yes, Kellyanne, as a tax-payer, I am very happy with my tax money going to fund Mueller's investigation. Better then going to pay the salaries of all the wackos that tRump has filled the WH with (including you).

if the administration the briefing to an on-camera format.

If she and the administration "understand America" and care one iota about Americans, and not just about protecting the Trump family and their fellow .01%-ers, they'd be open and honest. What's Trump hiding? Why won't he release his full, actual tax info? (Not the fake stuff Maddow showed). Will she and others in the various WH communication posts provide info showing how much Trump is getting paid by US taxpayers for the use of his properties? Will they provide info showing how much taxpayers pay for his golf games and his family member's trips abroad for their businesses? Will she come clean about reasons the Kushners and Al Thanis in Qatar are feuding and how that's affected relations in the Gulf? Will she allow the topic of money laundering to be brought up?

burning bush:

Watch as the left demonize her before she even starts.

We've already seen her many times before, and I for one am not impressed, continuing the art of spouting your bosses lie while trying to keep a straight face - something which Spicer and Abe's Suga has been doing.

She comes from a fine, really fine, family - with outstanding values and morals - no bigotry, racism or homophobia.

She does kinda remind me of Marie Osmond in that photo. Just a bit chunkier though.

No cameras allowed -- why? What have you got to hide? No previous administration has done this -- for they didn't have anything to hide.

9 ( +10 / -1 )

Spicer was impressive to even last this long. Having your boss undermine the lies you are spinning for him day in and day out must be tiring.

I heard that he's a serious catholic, and Trump didn't bring him along when he went to meet the pope as well. I would imagine he's a little bitter about that.

It's a joke that Trump has banned videos and pictures in the press conferences. On top of that, they rarely answer direct questions, they call on shill reporters from sites like Brietbart to ask softball questions, and they actually let Infowars in to get coverage.

Trump's made the White House press conferences absolutely useless to the American people, including his supporters.

11 ( +11 / -0 )

Another spokesperson for the mad king. She can't be any worse than Spicer, though. There is that.

6 ( +6 / -0 )

Certainly there are worse jobs in America, but I cannot think of one right now. Cleaning septic tanks would be a step up from being a Press Secretary today.

My first statement would probably be that I'm paid to say what the administration wants, not necessarily what I believe, off the record, of course.

It was only a matter of time before Spicey quit or was fired, and I've no doubt in his mind he already regrets being part of the monstrosity that is the Trump WH. He will never, ever be taken seriously again. As for Sanders, she is the apple that does not fall far from the tree. As with her father, she lacks a lot of intelligence and knowledge about the world, so she'll fit in a lot better in the role of playing dumb, because she is.

Yes, Kellyanne, as a tax-payer, I am very happy with my tax money going to fund Mueller's investigation. Better then going to pay the salaries of all the wackos that tRump has filled the WH with (including you).

Even if it leads to Nowhere or extends to Mueller over reaching his Federal authority powers? When they start investigating Rice, I do hope you feel equally to see your tax dollars but to some very good use.

If she and the administration "understand America" and care one iota about Americans, and not just about protecting the Trump family and their fellow .01%-ers,

Let's be specific, you are talking about the Silicon geek giants and the Hollyweird crowd.

they'd be open and honest. What's Trump hiding? Why won't he release his full, actual tax info? (Not the fake stuff Maddow showed).

Fake? So the msnbc were able to obtain an actual copy of Trump's tax record, But because it wasn't enough or satisfying enough for you libs, it's now "a fake tax record?"

I am very hopeful, she will provide the left with an abundant of 14K gold shovels. I have that deep feeling.

One of the Trump legal team also resigned. Must be all this talk of Presidential family pardons. Wonder how that will be spun?

The role of a Press Secretary is to publicly announce, declare or present and report a public "position", "stance", "concern" etc. about and on event or occurrence, situation, circumstance, condition and the environment of need or of interest that affect the nation on behalf of the President or the USA for the entire world as well as the USA. Therefore, the media, the Press is invited to disseminate such information through the communication systems and networks beyond what is directly available.

A release is not a "forum" for debates. It allows for questions to clarify what was stated or presented. It is one way on which it gives "transparency" to what the President is thinking of in the role of the President and not necessarily as an individual. That is why there is a need for Press Conference.

The Press Secretary is in a position of no "authority" but of extreme "responsibility" to the President, the USA and the public. He must accurately, clearly, understandably present the topic or issue and if asked, to answer and define without personal input (other than to answer or not), so as not to understate, undermine, mislead, misdirect, misinform, bias, or otherwise change the scope, intent and meaning of the topic or issue presented at the release. To do that he/she must be extremely knowledgeable, rational, stable, etc. with full awareness of the responsibility to the President and the nation as well as the impact of what is disseminated worldwide.

It is not just a matter of likable personality. He/she represents the entire nation and not just the President. So it is a critical position for the entire nation. It also takes a toll on emotional, mental and physical health. So, a change is not a negative but a positive in that we know we have others who are capable to take up that extremely difficult role and it is time for change.

Hope Sanders is able to fill that difficult role... It is especially so when the President is already in a tight spot from those that do not want much of what is happening that is detrimental to their own situation, exposed to the public.

Trump is sometimes too "transparent" via Twitter or by public appearances and rallies, that hurts or irritates those who have something to hide or do not want the public to look into because they are not "transparent". So the Press Secretary faces far greater challenges.

. . . Even if it leads to Nowhere (sic) . . .

Like all of the Benghazi hearings and e-mail investigations. I guess it is only a concern when it comes to Republicans being on the hot seat.

. . . or extends to Mueller over reaching his Federal authority powers?

An example of this would be helpful since there is no evidence he has done any over-reaching yet--and don't give us any nonsense about how Trump's business dealings from prior to his running for president would be an example of "over-reach." Relationships take a long time to make, and from the looks of it, Trump has been cultivating one with the Russians for quite some time (hence one of the reasons for his refusal to release his tax returns). If something is related to the current investigations, then it can hardly be called an "over-reach."

So the msnbc were able to obtain an actual copy of Trump's tax record

No, they did not. They received a partial copy of a return from over a decade ago. A full return would be helpful (like all of the presidents since Jimmy Carter have done). What is he hiding?

. . .  I have that deep feeling.

Me too--like someone is in some serious trouble.

Back on topic please.

Sanders has a difficult job ahead of her, i.e. , to provide credibility for a WH that lacks any kind of credibility.

We will see if Trump drives her to the extreme statements Spicer came up with.

Spicer's first conference instantly destroyed his credibility by asserting crowd size was the biggest in history. Period.

Lets hope Sanders can maintain some degree of respect in spite of working for a man whose life has been built around lies.

8 ( +8 / -0 )

promised to "be as open, honest and transparent with you all as humanly possible."

Clever equivocation there. How about just being open, honest and transparent. Period.

Sanders is married to a Republican consultant

Sanders entered politics young, helping with her father's campaigns as a child and then working her way up the ranks.

A real political outsider. She is like sooooooo qualified to drain the swamp.

Personally, I kind of liked Sean Spicer. You could see the cracks in his falsehoods a mile away, and you could see he hated what he was doing. It was a bit comical. At least he got to quit before having a full on thrombo. Sanders, on the other hand, seems to have no compunctions about lying, just like her dad.

Six months in and Trump and his team still look like the gang that couldn't shoot straight. As far as this switching around goes, Scaramucci, yet another Wall St. gazzilionaire, brings nothing all that notable to the table (other than being a Wall St. gazzilionaire who's a frequent guest on Fox News) in terms of media experience. However, it should be entertaining to watch and listen to as Scaramucci defends Trump, especially when he starts getting tangled up in Trump's tweets. Sadly, that's not what America needs right now. There's already too much of that going on. I can just hear Trump in the background shouting, "The show must go on!"

2 ( +2 / -0 )

Scaramucci, Scaramucci do the trash tango.

3 ( +3 / -0 )

And the train wreck continues as the swamp is converted to a cesspool.

2 ( +2 / -0 )

Sarah Huckabee Sanders - and Scaramucci?! Wow, he's really entrenching himself. He can't afford to lose his base, particularly considering he's lost all other constituencies, and that southern-accented, bible belt belle would function for this purpose far better than Spicer. At the same time, he's brought in some New York muscle with the latter. It's kind of like "Gone With the Wind" if Rhett Butler were played by Carlo Rizzi.

They've each got their roles. We'll see how it goes, but they certainly have their work cut out for them. There is no way to communicate the dadaism of Trump's current state, particularly when you know he'll cut off the legs from under you with a 3:00AM tweet.

4 ( +4 / -0 )

the dadaism of Trump's current state,

It's political dadaism, alright, but I'd say it's a permanent state. Unfortunately. And I love dada. As art. It's not only Trump's narcissistic character. It's a confluence of the Big Man himself, the nihilistic idealism of Steve Bannon and his fellow travelers in the alt-right media propaganda machine, the largely amoral Machiavellian win-at-all-costs GOP congress, and Trump's economically depressed base that is desperate to believe anything that ushers from the mouth of their chosen one. It's one hell of a perfect storm.

America will never be the same again. Even if there's hope, it's going to be a long, hard scramble back up that mountain.

4 ( +4 / -0 )

So we have her and the un woman. Haliary and paling must be petty sad now, but will never except.

-1 ( +0 / -1 )

No, they did not. They received a partial copy of a return from over a decade ago. A full return would be helpful (like all of the presidents since Jimmy Carter have done). What is he hiding?

Nothing that would impede your own personal life. It's irrelevant at this point.

Me too--like someone is in some serious trouble.

Doubt it.

America will never be the same again. Even if there's hope, it's going to be a long, hard scramble back up that mountain.

America hasn't been the same since 2009 and that crawl out is proving to be a monumental effort.

This might be better for Trump overall, Spicer was just not in his element, he was at times being a tad rude and obnoxious like Josh Earnest was. The president needs someone that can be cordial and straight, but equally a fierce bulldog if necessary, too early to tell, but Scaramucci just might be the person to deal with a difficult and more radical White House press.

-2 ( +0 / -2 )

viking68: Sanders has a difficult job ahead of her, i.e. , to provide credibility for a WH that lacks any kind of credibility.

But is that really the goal? To provide credibility? It would seem the goal is to make the press conferences irrelevant, which means they won't have to answer questions or give information to the American public, which they seem to think is nothing more than a nuisance.

3 ( +3 / -0 )

Spicer was just not in his element, he was at times being a tad rude and obnoxious

Given the rude, idiotic and obnoxious trash he often had to make excuses for, I'd cut him a bit more slack.

Trump's soiling of the sheets in the early hours would test anyone.

He deserves a break.

The only thing I will give him credit for is, he had more finesse and was feistier than that train wreck Earnest.

-4 ( +0 / -4 )

Spicer was impressive to even last this long. Having your boss undermine the lies you are spinning for him day in and day out must be tiring.

I honestly was surprised that he lasted as long as he did because it was so obvious that the lies he was saying was lies that he was told to say by Trump only for trump to then undermine the lies he forced Spicer to say within hours or just a day of Spicer being forced to say them.

3 ( +3 / -0 )

Whereas Spicer had the fat, flaccid face of the average white conservative and his demeanor that of a person conflicted, this woman's face is much more appropriate to her boss and what we see happening, and her demeanor spot on for the mindless trash talking and baldfaced lying she will gladly do. She makes the perfect Nurse Rachet in our new version of One Flew Over the Whitehouse.

1 ( +2 / -1 )

Sarah Huckabee Sanders will need to be ready for the numerous sexist attacks coming her way.

She does kinda remind me of Marie Osmond in that photo. Just a bit chunkier though.

The 'tolerant' Left rears it's ugly head yet again.

How very chivalrous and PC of you.

1 ( +1 / -0 )

And I don't understand why calling this woman dumb is sexist. (Personally I don't think she is dumb. She's shrewd and and amoral.)

1 ( +1 / -0 )

No matter how Spicer tried too many people remember his Hitler comment.

1 ( +1 / -0 )

plasticmonkey: How very chivalrous and PC of you.

Not sure how chivalry and PC go together but thank you anyway - I think.

And I don't understand why calling this woman dumb is sexist. (Personally I don't think she is dumb. She's shrewd and and amoral.)

Maybe if she were barefoot and pregnant and not working in the White House you would be a little more tolerant of this 'amoral' woman. I don't know anything about her private life but perhaps it would be helpful if she wore a Scarlet A on her chest. That would provide validation for members of the press who believe they are morally superior to any and all Republicans.

toshiko: No matter how Spicer tried too many people remember his Hitler comment.

Yes, that was cringeworthy. Whenever someone cannot come up with something better than to reference Hitler they already lost the debate.
