Good on Sanders.

at least the coming political and economic disasters won't be my fault.

If Trump wins your state, then, yes, it will be your fault.

How is it that one can sing one tune, enchant the masses then flip the bird on them the next?

He's not. He was very clear about his reasons for voting for Hillary.

Because he's a career stooge only looking out for himself.

Only the rightest of the right think that. The rest of us see the man for who he is - someone who has been fighting for the people his entire life.

Funny watching the Strumpets freak out because Sanders has pointed out that Trump is the worst thing that could happen to the country. They'll be doing their best to discredit him as much as they can over the coming days, hoping they'll be able to smear him the same way they've smeared Hillary, so as to stop Sander's supporters from voting for Hillary.

2 ( +3 / -1 )

Yeah. He basically just bent over backwards and quit.

No.

If he really stood for his message and wasn't a career stooge, he would have made every effort to stand and fight.

He already lost his fight, keeping on fighting at the expense of his country would be unpatriotic.

Win or lose he would have maintained his credibility.

The only people he has supposedly lost credibility with are those who put partisanship over the good of the people, and he knows that those people don't matter. I was an avid Sanders supporter (I still wish had won the nomination). But he's lost absolutely no credibility with me. If anything, he has gained credibility with me (and I guarantee others), for putting aside the fact that he lost, and doing what is right for his country.

Now no one gives a toss what this sellout says.

I do. And others do as well. Again, only people that don't matter don't 'give a toss'.

I think he's also the only candidate that admits to being a consumer of marijuana in the first place, so he is the only one who would need to make that statement.

Strangerland wrote: I think he's (i.e. Gary Johnson - BM) also the only candidate that admits to being a consumer of marijuana in the first place, so he is the only one who would need to make that statement ... Bingo! We have another prize winner today! To tell the truth, I'm an aspiring Spin Doctor. I figure I'll find a job after January 20, 2017 no matter who is elected. My services will be greatly in demand. ... Now, my dear Strangerland... You used the qualifier "admits". Well done, old chap. However, has he ever admitted "inhaling"?

1 ( +1 / -0 )

You used the qualifier "admits".

Oh, I'm not a conspiracy theorist. When I say 'he's the only one who admits it', it's not a euphemism for 'they all smoke but he's the only one who admits it'. It's to point out his actions, with no inference as to the other's actions.

I mean Trump has been rich his entire life. If he hasn't done a whack of cocaine at some point in time, I'd be pretty surprised. But, the other side of that is, he hasn't said that he has, and I believe it's equally possible he's never touched any illicit drug in his entire life. So I don't speculate on it one way or the other. And personally, I don't think it matters. Look at Obama - he's admitted to doing cocaine, and he's been an amazing president.

Sorry, Bernie, the majority of Americans believe we are headed in the wrong direction, we want change, not more of Obama with more lies and less style.

His recent polls show more than a 58% of Americans thinks he is doing a great job that is actually highest. You are not in touch with reality here. He has been missed by many alrady.

1 ( +1 / -0 )

with all due respect to Bernie, it's not going to happen. He was the change the DNC needed and they rejected him under contrition from Clinton lackeys and their own implosion management.

The core voter blocks on both sides are bound blindly to each of their candidates to the point that only they will vote for them. I don't see how the 40% who don't vote would find either appealing.

It would have been great if Bernie was running

1 ( +1 / -0 )

Oh, Texas A&m Aggie oh, the desperation is on the part od Trump who has yet had another of his 10,000 lies exposed, that he is NOT being audited for his taxes.

1 ( +1 / -0 )

VOTE: NONE OF THE ABOVE.

or Gary Johnson (lib). He won't win, but at least the coming political and economic disasters won't be my fault. Mr. Johnson has some crazy ideas too, but since he won't win, his idea of cutting the Fed budget 43% won't do any harm and removing corporate taxation would jump start the economy wildly. Too bad for all the corporate CPAs.

theFu: NUN OF THE ABOVE (typo correction mine) ... Good to see that you're still supporting Sister Mary Boom Boom, Ordo Indulgentiae Perpetuae. The joke continues until November 8. BTW, Gary Johnson is the ONLY candidate who has said he will abstain, if only through his administration, from using marijuana if elected. Go GJ!

I think innuendo is preferable to euphemism here. My original statement was to be taken at face value. However, in this climate of deceit - I'm not accusing you of deception - I can well imagine it could be understood otherwise. And about Bill Clinton's claim not to have taken a hit on a doobie, I believe him. Social pressure at the time, etc. It was real.

Yep. Other here.

He already lost his fight, keeping on fighting at the expense of his country would be unpatriotic.

Since when is exercising his right to seek office unpatriotic? Unless patriotism is defined as "helping the elites stay in power and steal from the working class so I will get my turn later on."

I'm pretty sure that would be antithetical to Sanders' message (not that I believed him then, either).

Since when is exercising his right to seek office unpatriotic?

I never claimed it was. You seem to be inferring something other than what I said.

Unless patriotism is defined as "helping the elites stay in power and steal from the working class so I will get my turn later on."

Bernie isn't going to get a chance later on. He's at the age where this was his last chance.

What I want to know is who are the Democrats going to replace Hillary with after she implodes/is arrested? Of

Oh god, are you guys still spouting that one?

0 ( +0 / -0 )

Question: If Hillary Clinton is, according to the president of the United States, the most qualified candidate ever, and Trump is such a bigoted lying buffoon, why is she virtually tied with him nationally, with Trump actually leading her in some swing states? Inquiring deplorables wanna know!

0 ( +1 / -1 )

Because the right has run what is rightfully called an amazing smear campaign. It will be studied for years on both how to effectively smear a candidate, and how it could have potentially been defended against.

As far as smear campaigns go though, there has never been one even close to this one.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

Trump smears himself. No one needs to smear him. Didn't you see him mock the handicapped guy?

0 ( +0 / -0 )

I was an avid Sanders supporter (I still wish had won the nomination).

I doubt you mean that. Granny Sanders stood diametrically opposite to hillary. Any true supporter would not simply turn away from the anti corporate message simply because they want to keep the peace, that right there is the cowardly way out. He is a career stooge that hoodwinked some very gullible individuals.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

I doubt you mean that.

Why would I say something other than what I mean?

I know it bothers you that I could have been a Sanders supporter, and now support Hillary, but that's how adults work in the real world. When a decision is being made, put out your voice, and try to get the decision made in your favor. After the decision has been made, accept it, and do your best with that decision. People who consistently whine about a decision not going their way hold things back, and slow progress.

I'd hate if Trump became president. But if he does, I'd hope that the democrats would work better with the Republicans for a better America and world, rather than fighting him every step of the way, like the Republicans have done with Obama for the past eight years.

I'd hate if Trump became president

Finally something we both agree on.

I know it bothers you that I could have been a Sanders supporter, and now support Hillary, but that's how adults work in the real world.

Umm no... After the scummy way the DNC tried to derail Sanders campaign, how can you boldly claim maturity in politics? I know it was covered under the rug seeing as the attention span of an individual is 10 seconds but a horrendous disservice was perpetrated against him by his own party. But I guess that cushy new house heals all wounds.

Rhetoric serves no one. Accepting that things are what they are enables one to move forward in an adult manner.

a horrendous disservice was perpetrated against him by his own party.

After the election, when things have calmed down, this deserves a good review, to find out if there are ways to improve the current process, so as not to disenfranchise voters. But during the election, in-fighting is only going to hold the party back, increasing the likelihood of a Trump presidency. Big picture, that is the much more immediate threat than the whole Sanders incident.

Sellout. How is it that one can sing one tune, enchant the masses then flip the bird on them the next? Because he's a career stooge only looking out for himself. Cares nothing about ordinary folk. What a collosal waste of time.

-1 ( +2 / -3 )

Smear campaign, eh? What about the smear campaign against Trump by the Clinton campaign which has WAY outspent Trump? Anyway, why hasn't the support of Hillary by the president of the United States offset this smear campaign?

-1 ( +0 / -1 )

Sorry, Bernie, the majority of Americans believe we are headed in the wrong direction, we want change, not more of Obama with more lies and less style.

-2 ( +1 / -3 )

Yeah. He basically just bent over backwards and quit. If he really stood for his message and wasn't a career stooge, he would have made every effort to stand and fight. Win or lose he would have maintained his credibility. Now no one gives a toss what this sellout says. What exactly did he achieve in the end? Well besides that new house!!

-2 ( +0 / -2 )

Heh, Mrs.. Clinton needs sellout Sanders, a guy six years her senior, to help her get the youth vote? Ah, you can just smell the desperation oozing out of The Democratic Party. Cause Hillary is done.

-2 ( +1 / -3 )

"He's at the age where this was his last chance."

You're never too old to rock 'n roll.

What I want to know is who are the Democrats going to replace Hillary with after she implodes/is arrested? Of course if they want to beat Trump, they'll have to go with Bernie, otherwise, lessee, who else they got? Tim Kaine? Good grief. Joe Biden? Good grief. Wait, I know - Michelle Obama! Yea! That's the ticket! Why, she's almost as qualified as Hillary!

-2 ( +0 / -2 )

If Trump wins your state, then, yes, it will be your fault.

Or if Hillary wins your state, it's your fault.
