Conspiracy theorist Alex Jones testified Wednesday that he now understands it was irresponsible of him to declare the Sandy Hook Elementary School massacre a hoax and that he now believes it was “100% real."

I remember the Alex Jones who was arrested bullhorning President Bush and the Iraq War and exposing the Wall Street banking establishment.

It seems he became deranged about the time of the Obama Administration.

Unfortunately many still use him as a source of information, quite a few on this very site.

There are not enough bytes on the internet to fully explain what an odious being Alex is.

Let’s BRIEFLY review:

Claimed that Sandyhook didn’t happen, kids didn’t die, parents were acting - all so that the government could take people’s guns.

With a wink and a nod encouraged the on-line harassment of the bereaved. Many of them had to move multiple times, change jobs, sleep with guns of there own as the harassment went past the merely tasteless and became physically threatening.

Used his denial to sell a rouge’s portfolio of products from body armor to “supplements” the revenues of which exceeds $50 million per year.

Refused to engage in legal actions against him on a variety of wholly ridiculous excuses eventually resulting in multiple default judgments.

Took several of his (by his own phone records but more on that in a moment) rather profitable businesses into bankruptcy in an effort to render them immune from asset seizure as a result of judgments.

LIED under oath on multiple occasions including when he said he personally searched his own phone and couldn’t find any emails relating to Sandyhook because “I don’t use email.”

His rocket scientist attorneys accidentally sent the entire digital contents of his phone to the plaintiff’s legal team who found SEVERAL emails from Alex on just that topic including some linking it to sales success.

I really, REALLY hope the jury comes back with a liability judgement that not only bankrupts his companies, not only renders Alex destitute, but puts a claim on every penny he ever makes until the end of his miserable existence on this Earth.

He lied, he encouraged people to torment the families of dead children. He profited on those deaths. He attempted to defraud the legal process and lied in an attempt to escape its judgments.

Just a disgusting miserable excuse for a human.

Stranger this is an excellent question: I can hypothesize 3 possible explanations:

1) “You get what you pay for” level incompetence. I personally subscribe to this theory in menswear and legal counsel. Pay a cheap price, get cheap stuff.

2) One is entitled to a legal defense in a criminal case. It’s the reason there is a public defender’s office - so that the indigent can get the most basic of legal assistance. Civil matters have no such guarantees. Maybe no reputable law firm can stand to defend him. It’s why the fffg couldn’t get a white shoe firm to represent him.

3) (unlikely but one can dream) Intentional legal malpractice. Just hear me out. Perhaps, PERHAPS Alex’s own attorneys just cannot tolerate his behavior and “accidentally- on purpose” let the records slip.
