Prison (behind bars) is what all politicians fear the most (bar assassination). That so few politicians are to be found in the prisons of the world is a reliable measure of the corruption and the hollowness of social justice in our democracies where miscreants like Sarkozy and a host of other unmentionables are effectively untouchable and "above the law" mocking the very concept of "equality before the law" and "justice".

Mr. Sarkozy is no more guilty than any other leading French politician (and no less guilty.) Mr. Macron will have his day in court some day in the future.
