The picture of Mohammed bin Salman with Putin encapsulates current world order, especially now that Trump's pushing the US even lower.

Both lead nations whose wealth and power is maintained and expanded selling gas and oil at prices low enough to prevent alternatives to burning more hydrocarbons from being more cost-effective, meaning even more pollution. Both nations are climate change deniers.

Saudi Arabia has huge military contracts with Russia (plus the US and so many other nations) to purchase even more weapons.

Big oil and big war.

Russian President Vladimir Putin and bin Salman shared a chummy, enthusiastic greeting, beaming widely and clasping hands in something of a cross between a handshake and a high-five. The crown prince patted Putin's hand three times for emphasis as the two leaders took their seats next to each other.

surprise surprise

The President pushing the country lower? Funny.

Both lead nations whose wealth and power is maintained and expanded selling gas and oil at prices low enough to prevent alternatives to burning more hydrocarbons from being more cost-effective, meaning even more pollution. Both nations are climate change deniers.

Trump offered Germany to buy US natural gas, she refused, but doesn't want to increase her NATO budget to protect them from the very people that were giving themselves the high five. You just can't make this stuff up.

Saudi Arabia has huge military contracts with Russia (plus the US and so many other nations) to purchase even more weapons.

Big oil and big war.

And now you are getting why Trump unapologetically and honestly won't throw the Saudis under the bus, if he does that, the Saudis will unite with anyone that wants to buy oil and that black gold is something everyone wants and will take if given the chance. Trump as the businessman knows this as President, he understands the US can't afford to cut ties with the Saudis or antagonize another nuclear superpower that would be very bad in the nations interest.

@burningbush Good on Russia for not meddling in the domestic affairs of other countries.

I doubt Putin will stop his employees of the Internet Research Agency and other bratva from posting on non-Russian sites. That would put too many Russian citizens out of work. Though those employees are paid very little, it's the best job low level dross like them can get.

Good on Russia for not meddling in the domestic affairs of other countries.

After every US intel agency and almost all overeats conclude Russia interfered in our election, only a Trump cultist could make such an inane comment.

Putin: MBS , brother, good to see you - I'm glad you took my advice and murdered that pesky dissident - worked great for me in the UK...

MBS: Thank you Vlad, yes, it worked perfectly...

Trump: Hey guys, I tear-gassed some children at the border.....

Trump/MBS: Wimp.......

Putin: Oh yes, when I kill journalists I use plutonium. Hah.

Salmon: Very good, we just use bone saw.

Putin: Oh yes, we did that in my old days in the KGB.

Salmon: By the way, when you are getting Trump to invade Iran?

Putin: Oh, yes that is in plan. He does not want us to release sex tapes! When I say jump he says how high . . .

Salmon: Oh Puti, you are so good.

Putin: I know, lets raise oil prices this week!

Birds of a feather flock together.

Very true indeed. The scary thing being that the U.S. president wanted to flock together with these scoundrels just a short time before and suddenly declined to meet with them after the latest drips coming out from the Mueller investigation.

But certainly Trump should've at least met with Putin to condemn what Russia's been doing in regard to Ukraine. Instead Trump canceled his planned meeting with Putin suddenly (again due to the Mueller investigation), and decided to remain silent about everything. Why?

It appears that Trump didn't meet with him because if you can't say anything nice to somebody, it's best to remain silent. Unfortunately, it doesn't work that way with world leaders and being able to call a spade a spade, as this president has apparently decided not to do.

Winner: Putin yet again without so much as a wrist slap.

Loser: Trump yet again for his silence.

When you ignore something, you condone it.

They look pretty pleased with themselves. I suppose I would too, if I owned an American President.

You're too kind to them. Such a shame that they can be so blatant about it, also.
