There are no good military options for North Korea.

Whenever you have an individual - whether he is the local crazy man or the dictator of a country - who is determined to do bad things the only alternatives are to live with the menace or to use force. Neither option can be considered good because there is no way to predict how the nutcase will react.

Nuclear disarmament within the peninsular will only involve China and Russia shipping items out from North Korea. I would not be surprised to see this happening as an alternative to the one discussed here.

The very thought that a draft-dodging coward has the power to cause the deaths of thousands of US military personnel is simply obscene.

Obscene doesn't even BEGIN to describe it!! Until we see his sons & son in law SIGNING up, yeah obscene would be the way to begin to describe this !!

How to avert this approaching apocalypse? A third party intervention? Maybe a European ground invasion of the USA - liberating the oppressed?

Crazy sounding, right?

It is going to avoid Hokkaido. It seems DPRK hasn't figured out How Japanese SHORE PAC3 works. But it is irritating Russia now.

It looks like becoming N. K. against Russia.

Do you know how to read the maps and illustrations?

In any case, if the US has to put boots on the ground it's not going to happen. They just want to fire missiles from a distance and let other nations suffer in the wake.

Thank you everyone. I brought out globe from my office closet. I think N. Korea will shoot up in the sky up above Russia to drop on Alaskan shore. But the missile might accidentally dropped on Russian soil. The world is not on flat land. China will have large earthquake again.

Has nothing to do with Trump, we have a military that is all volunteer, at least with Trump our troops can and will have pride reinstated as to before having a president that made our troops right with one hand behind their backs without a clear site or clear mission. The haters will keep on hating. LOL

Aren't many American soldiers were enlisted? Many places do not draft? what is draft dodgers now?

Trump's mostly irrelevant on the NK issue. He just tweets threats that everyone else says can't happen.

US troops can't handle combat -- painful bone spurs.

As far as US do not invade NK, there won't be any attack on US territory because it is suicidal. People all know that and still jumping on to the wagon. I don't understand why.

The U.S. has not had a draft since 1973. Since then the US military has been all volunteers.

Don't make mistakes again and just replace fatty with son of late Kim Jon-un as soon as fatty was finished because the North Korean worship Kim. The US and its alliances should not rush to secure NK nuclear weapons by ground forces. The nuclear weapons and programs can dismantle after leadership change. Don't send US military into North Korea.
