They would already have this and then some if not for certain blunders in the ME. 'Tis a shame, but clearly a lot needs to be spent to make up for the previous White House admin.

Smitty, you're de-evolving again. Wipe your chin.

"a lot needs to be spent to make up for the previous White House admin."

Yes, during the Bush administration, Congress didn't spend nearly as much as they should have, lol.

It's a pretty well known fact that when people look back on history they'll know for a fact that bush was pretty much the worst president in history (of any country). I figure by then, if you guys are still alive, you'll be able to successfully pretend you didn't like him and agree.

sargie: "Yes, during the Bush administration, Congress didn't spend nearly as much as they should have, lol."

Waka-waka! I'm glad you can laugh about the fact that the current deficit is thanks to your last admin. I personally don't think it's funny, but I understand your need for deflection to avoid addressing the facts.

Really? 8-9 years of two wars combined in costs only equals one year of combined costs of social security and medicare.

No the current deficit is due to this congress and administration. It is their choice to spend the money. They don't have to, remember that the stimulus bill that was passed didn't really stimulate and it cost nearly $770k per job created. Although bush left with a recession, he did try and stop it. I mean he did warn congress 17 times in 2008 that frannie mae and freddie mac were basically about to implode, although he didn't really do much about the sub prime mortgage crisis.

He may have been a bad president but in terms of financially well you give him way to much credit for screwing it up.

During the bush administration the Afghanistan War and the george bush Memorial War in Iraq were not budgeted. The money was always gotten through the use of Special Spending Bills. This bill budgets these two wars in them. < :-)

adaydream; Bush is well kn own as a very prudent President who accounted for every Cent spent. Unlike Obama who is on a massive solialised spending spree to please his Liberal elite buddies.

DickMorris, your illusion of george bush is heart warming. But it's full of crap.

bush gave $4Trillion to the top 1% of the population. Then he signed the Rx Drug plan that he said would run $385Billion, but actually that cost is doubled. he started a war in Iraq that he said would cost $50Billion and we're almost to a $Trillion to date. Never funded the war in the budget, but went in every year with a Special Spending Bill.

You statement just doesn't pan out. < :-)

adaydream; You are wrong sir!! Every cent Bush spent was well documented unlike your hero Obama. Bush gave tax breaks to the rich who were overburdened already and taxing the rich has a trickle down effect that even your average Joe can benefit from.

This spending spree is to try to divert the public from the Obama dpression and failures in Iraq and Afghanistan. The Liberals need stronger arguments than just picking on Bush.

Oh DickMorris, please...

This spending spree is to try to divert the public from the Obama dpression and failures in Iraq and Afghanistan.

That's so funny. Because it was bush who was president when the recession hit this country and effected the world. And it was bush who started the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq. Obama became president and took over the recession and wars from a failed president. Obama didn't inherit a balanced budget or even one that was at least robust, but a budget surviving only with loans from China.

And when Obama took over the presidency he assumed command of two wars that had been on the loosing side for years. He's taken two wars and we'll be seeing the ending of one for the US in 2 years and he's overseeing the change of strategy in another.

But please correct me where I'm wrong. I think I'm pretty close to factual here. < :-)

adaydream; You are incorrect again! Bush steered us into a great position economically. The war in Iraq was nearly over and the Taliban and Osama were routed.

Fast forward a year and we are in a depression. Iraq is close to entering civil war and the evil doers know we will leave Afghanistan soon, thus are emblodened and at this moment are planning to destroy us and our freedoms which they hate. Obama and his spenthrift way of appeasing his Liberal buddies will rewarding the lazy is making my great nation a laughing stock of the world.

It's been fun DickMorris. I wish you're beliefs were correct. But alas, they're not. Good evening. < :-)
