This shows there are still too many globalists in the ranks of the Republicans.

And round and round and round we go. I'm still stumped why people still vote career leadership. It there was real rotation of the guard, the war industry would collapse. Democracy amaright?

Its really strange to me to see the traditionally anti-military intervention members of Democratic party aligning with the neo cons and hawks in the Republican party on this.

US get out of Afghanistan!

The Afghanistan and other military 'incursions' have been a golden goose to the big and for that matter all sized war industries. Many politicians are recipients of the war industry's largesse.

The link below provides data on campaign contributions from the war industries to politicians - on both sides of the aisle.

Yes. And nothing would give more pleasure to certain other globalist politicians such as Putin, who would love to see the US out if its backyard.

Of the 68, how many have shares in arms manufacture and sales?

That's because the neo cons and hawks in the Republican party are also against Tump in this instance.

At the moment, these Democrats and Republican factions have a common enemy: Trump.

Remember the old saying: "The enemy of my enemy is my friend"?

When this passes, the anti-military Democrats and the Republican hawks will be at odds again.

But its really strange to see the Democrats and Republicans (not to mention most JT posters here) who oppose U.S. meddling in other countries affairs, to be vehemently opposed to Trump who wants to get out of the region and concentrate on taking care of U.S. interests at home.

Again, no matter what position Trump takes, they will be opposed to it.

"ISIS and al-Qaida have yet to be defeated," McConnell said."

Stay-Go. What’s the difference I ask? We are not prepared to fight at a level to insure a victory.

The Russians could not win in the Middle Eastern region. We certainly cannot win there with all regulations and rules of engagement. The only way to eradicate terrorism is to do the unspeakable. That type of war cannot take place in these modern times. The fact of the matter is fighting terrorism is profitable for some. To totally defeat terrorism and this ideology they vehemently spew and worship. That type of war would create so much collateral damage. The world does not want to see that type of war.

No country wants to shoulder the blame and responsibility for going all out.

Might as well just come home if you’re not going to fight for victory and total annihilation of these terrorist groups.

Great picture of Mitch.  Really needs a "What is he saying?" caption.

Trump: "They were totally misquoted." Uhh, no. The whole thing was on live TV. Therefore, the quotes are, in fact, 100% correct. Watch the video all you want. Over to you, Trump supporters! Your president has told yet another lie, one that cannot be denied. Thank heavens the US has freedom of the press, eh? And thank heavens that press is cataloging Trump's lies, one by one. It ain't "fake news" when you got it on unedited video!!

While in the future, one hopes for withdrawal of troops, the timing makes no sense. Trump wants to take them out of where they are needed to put them on the front lines of the wall....er, fence...as his silly idea of security for the US rests on the Mexican border, not in Syria or Afghanistan, where ISIS and Al Queda are not deemed threats by him.

Does he read anything? His ability to critical think is non existent because he doesn't care for information that doesn't fit his crazy, self indulgent ideas. Or maybe he just can't read anything over 50 words. Obviously, he makes stuff up, refusing information where a good deal of them are truths.

US get out of Afghanistan!

Agreed! It'll happen by the end of Trump's second term. First Syria though.

Great picture of Mitch. Really needs a "What is he saying?" caption.

"You're more likely to see Elvis again than to see this bill pass the Senate." ( actual Mitch quote )
