This infrastructure bill will be another drain on the US economy, already strained by the pandemic nd the mishandling of it by the Biden administration.

Since January, the US economy has added 1,572,000 jobs, according to the US Bureau of Labor Statistics.

And it's true that this is the most jobs created in the first 100 days of any presidency since records began in 1939.

Biden will beat that by the year’s end. But at least he extinguished our anxiety by telling us inflation is only temporary. I can see him now, whispering softly behind one’s ear, hands firmly gripped on their shoulders: it’ll only hurt for a little while.

-5 ( +2 / -7 )

Biden will beat that by the year’s end.

The CBO also predicted the federal budget deficit will reach $2.3 trillion in 2021.

? You might wish but data states otherwise.

ND when Trump left office $28 trillion. ND June 21 $28.5 trillion.

Biden is about to blow that shy high and if he finishes his term, he’ll surpass both Trump and his former boss. https://www.westernjournal.com/young-not-stupid-6-bidens-infrastructure-bill-infrastructure-94/

so how do you explain the lowest increase of just $0.5 trillion in Biden's first six months?

Biden's Infrastructure Bill, about $1.2 trillion. US lawmakers near deal on $1.2tn infrastructure bill.

Well let's not forget Trump and the GOP added to the debt with a free tax giveaway that went to the top.

Biden is adding to the debt by investing in infrastructure, the workforce, and overall American competitiveness.

The former has been proven to have little to no impact on jobs and business investment, just enriching those who already have money. The latter has been proven to produce long-term gains for everyone and the economy overall.

But Bezos thanks you, so there's that.

1 ( +4 / -3 )

its just people going back to work after reopening after a pandemic.

no jobs have been "created".

the most jobs created in the first 100 days

-2 ( +3 / -5 )

because Biden has failed to get his 6 trillion in spending passed yet.

As soon as he does (if he does), its 34.5 trillion.

ND when Trump left office $28 trillion. ND June 21 $28.5 trillion.

-2 ( +2 / -4 )

More borrowing and more spending is just what is needed. Final days of this system coming soon.

0 ( +2 / -2 )

so how do you explain the lowest increase of just $0.5 trillion in Biden's first six months?

Why is it that the Democrats don’t make an exact detailed and itemized outline of where each dollar is going to prove what you say?

Biden's Infrastructure Bill, about $1.2 trillion. US lawmakers near deal on $1.2tn infrastructure bill.

Uh-huh, lol, no one with a functioning cerebral cortex believes that. With the rising prices of gas, food, housing and basic necessities everyone knows taxes will have to eventually go up to pay for all this. Bezos, Dorsey or Zuckerberg won’t.

-1 ( +2 / -3 )

Biden is adding to the debt by investing in infrastructure, the workforce, and overall American competitiveness.

Where? Looking how Biden Defunded NASA and pretty much cushioned and softened and perfumed the military allowed China to take over our biggest corporations, I fail to see the US competitiveness in this administration.

The former has been proven to have little to no impact on jobs and business investment, just enriching those who already have money.

That’s absolutely not true, not only did the pandemic and the draconian lockdowns destroy more than half of small businesses, blue states continue to still hand out unemployment benefits instead of pushing people back to work and let’s not forget the thousands of low-skilled illegals that are flooding into the States will have less work and that means more government entitlements will go out to millions that can’t work, don’t want to work or have no work to go back to.

The latter has been proven to produce long-term gains for everyone and the economy overall.

Well, that’s not what thousand of people are saying that are leaving the largest States like California and NY

But Bezos thanks you, so there's that.

-3 ( +1 / -4 )

But Bezos thanks you, so there's that.

Probably he’s more grateful to Trump and the Republicans. You know, for the tax cuts that benefitted the wealthy owning class, like Bezos, and corporations, like Amazon, and did nothing for workers? You know the cuts you said were amazing and excellent and the best thing ever? Those cuts?

0 ( +2 / -2 )

donald, the king of debt, created the 3rd largest budget deficit under any president.

This for a president who wasn't involved in any war is an achievement, though not one anyone will be proud of.

The combination of Trump’s 2017 tax cut and the lack of any serious spending restraint helped both the deficit and the debt soar.

donald ran the country like he ran his businesses, building up unsustainable debt. But unlike his companies America doesn't have the option of declaring bankruptcy!!!

“It’s about mass transit. Our transit number is very generous.”

No surprise , common people's causes don't concern the GOP' .

SuperLib: The former has been proven to have little to no impact on jobs and business investment, just enriching those who already have money.

Bass: That’s absolutely not true

It's been proven. You don't have to believe me, but everyone else here will. You can hang out alone with your ignorance.

Giving up the debate point so soon? Your choice.

Have a good night.

Infrastructure is key for economic growth. Ever 1/2 hour saved on the freeway is another 1/2 hour of productivity. Business leaders greatly support this plan.

2 ( +4 / -2 )

Given the historically low levels of interest rates and control of both houses of Congress and the Presidency, one would have thought that the Republicans would have seized the opportunity the fund rebuilding America's future.

They blew it.

Where? Looking how Biden Defunded NASA and pretty much cushioned and softened and perfumed the military allowed China to take over our biggest corporations, I fail to see the US competitiveness in this administration.

None of that is remotely correct. Biden has only been president for 6 months. Why are you posting misinformation?

1 ( +2 / -1 )

China has greatly expanded its military during the Trump era including the construction of intercontinental missile silos. What did Trump do to stop them?

0 ( +1 / -1 )

It's been proven.

According to Biden? Oh, please!

You don't have to believe me,

I believe the people that are making a made exodus out of these mismanaged States, looking at the numbers

but everyone else here will. You can hang out alone with your ignorance.

JT readers don’t make the bulk of the US population or people that are leaving these states

Giving up the debate point so soon? Your choice.

No, I’m always on the side of the blue collar worker.

-4 ( +0 / -4 )

None of that is remotely correct.

Yes, it has, prices are going up and not down anywhere, that’s just a statistical fact.

Biden has only been president for 6 months.

Give him another 3 years and we are all screwed. Financially.

You posted that but avoided answering when I said that was 100% incorrect. Provide a link during Biden's presidency showing he did that.

You also did not respond to the fact the Chinese military greatly expanded during the Trump era including turning atolls into military bases.

2 ( +2 / -0 )

Trump's covid package was going to cost $7.5 trillion. Were where the conservatives on that then?

1 ( +1 / -0 )

You posted that but avoided answering when I said that was 100% incorrect.

I did so many times already.

You also did not respond to the fact the Chinese military greatly expanded during the Trump era including turning atolls into military bases.

Well, now we have Joe and he refuses to do nothing. Scary.

-3 ( +0 / -3 )

Well, now we have Joe and he refuses to do nothing.

Did you maybe want to write "he refuses to do anything"? Because refusing to do "nothing" means exactly the contrary of what you're probably trying to say.

so you were unable to provide any links showing President Biden had defunded NASA and allowed the Chinese military to expand all during the last 6 months? Trump didn't do anything about the Chinese military during his 4 years but now you expect Biden to have done something in his first 6 months even though the country is in its worse pandemic in over 100 years. Priorities?

1 ( +1 / -0 )

so you were unable to provide any links showing President Biden had defunded NASA and allowed the Chinese military to expand all during the last 6 months?

Scroll through the archives

Trump didn't do anything about the Chinese military during his 4 years

The military wasn’t taking a drastic hostile approach as they are now

but now you expect Biden to have done something in his first 6 months even though the country is in its worse pandemic in over 100 years. Priorities?

Im expecting Biden not to be seen as weak by the eyes of our adversaries.

U.S. drops cases against five researchers accused of hiding ties to Chinese military

Who brought the cases (Trump) and who dropped them? (Biden)

The official pointed to an exodus of more than 1,000 researchers, who department officials said had apparently hidden their ties to the Chinese People’s Liberation Army and fled the United States after the arrests last summer.

Thanks Trump!

I find conservative logic so difficult to understand. It's not my job to scroll through your archives. You stated something which you can not show proof of. You have not posted any proof during the last 6 months showing Biden defunded NASA and allowed Chinese military expansionism.

I guess the Chinese building military bases in the South China Sea and building missile silos is not drastic hostile to you then?

Biden is maintaining the military defence budget and maintaining a strong military. The biggest killing machine in the world. But you want more. During the Trump era, you wanted war with Iran. You were going to blow them back to the stone age.

4 ( +4 / -0 )

so how did Biden's lack of an infrastructure deal turn into complaining about Trump again?

I hear now that Biden is trying to add amnesty for illegal aliens and DACA recipients into his "infrastructure" bill. Along with a bunch of new crazy capital gains taxes on dead people and people who havent even made a "gain" yet.

-5 ( +0 / -5 )

I find conservative logic so difficult to understand.

Don’t even try and contemplate liberal logic

It's not my job to scroll through your archives.

You’ve don’t it before

I guess the Chinese building military bases in the South China Sea and building missile silos is not drastic hostile to you then?

Ok, so now that China has perceived Biden as inept and weak, how will he protect Taiwan?

Biden is maintaining the military defence budget and maintaining a strong military.

A woke military will never defeat China

.

-4 ( +0 / -4 )

Jeeze.

Murky to China, NASA, people moving states, COVID.

On a thread about infrastructure.

Ever get the sense Conservatives lack the knowledge to debate the issues and instead throw handfuls of unrelated right-wing talking points at you just to have a response?

It's like, "I can't counter any of the specifics you're giving, but I just know Conservatives are better so I have to fight the battle even if I don't understand what we're talking about."

3 ( +3 / -0 )

Ever get the sense Conservatives lack the knowledge to debate the issues

Liberals don’t want to confront issues, why?

and instead throw handfuls of unrelated right-wing talking points at you just to have a response?

That goes both ways

-4 ( +0 / -4 )

It would be great if the UK put together a solid foreign policy to contain China. Instead, the US has to go it alone. With Biden at the helm.

Says it all.

-5 ( +0 / -5 )

I guess the Chinese building military bases in the South China Sea and building missile silos is not drastic hostile to you then?

Ok, so now that China has perceived Biden as inept and weak, how will he protect Taiwan?

This is a classic example of just getting right wing talking points tossed at us. Trump did zero to reign in China, but we now have Trump fan bois claiming Biden is weak on a China.

2 ( +2 / -0 )

Trump did zero to reign in China, but we now have Trump fan bois claiming Biden is weak on a China.

But they were very careful, they didn’t try and challenge him and they never, ever referred to him as weak. The man was the first President to call out China unabashedly.

No, to your asinine claims that “Biden Defunded NASA

He did.

-3 ( +0 / -3 )

I mean, the Dems won’t even get rid of Swalwell and the man is just more than compromised this continues to show to China that the US is weak, they’ll probably, but they’ll never bite unless it involves Jan 6. Then the Dems don’t miss a beat on anything.

-4 ( +0 / -4 )

But they were very careful, they didn’t try and challenge him and they never, ever referred to him as weak. The man was the first President to call out China unabashedly.

Under Trump’s watch, China developed man made island in the SCS and put offensive weapons on those islands. That’s definitely being very careful. What nonsense.

As for Biden defunding NASA, more misinformation:

More than two months after taking office, President Joe Biden has offered a first look at his budget priorities, and the signs for NASA are generally promising.

*The administration today (April 9) unveiled a so-called "skinny budget" for fiscal year 2022, which begins on Oct. 1. Biden's proposed budget requests $24.7 billion for NASA,* a $1.5 billion increase from 2021.

https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.space.com/amp/biden-nasa-2022-budget-request

Defunding NASA by increasing its budget. Makes complete sense.
