I get it that so many want to see a knucklehead like this behind bars for what he tried to do. I get it. But what I don't get is how so many in the US have ended up like this, alienated and willing to do violence against their own people. What is the US missing that so many are being lost to conspiracy theories and hatred of the other? What can turn that around? And not just the US it seems but other advanced nations have caught the same virus.

These goobers were so happy and proud of trying to overthrow the government for their Cult leader, that they very helpfully left their phones on, took video, POSTED video of them committing crimes/bragging about committing crimes/talking to others about committing crimes.

Well, the FBI has all of that information, and if they haven't gotten to you yet, MAGA-Moron, sit tight. They are on the way.

They took care of the low hanging fruit - the merely useful (and relatively beneign) idiots. Now they are taking care of the chief insurrectionists - the Elmer Stewart Rhoads and Enrique Proud Boys dill-weeds. These guys are going away for quite a spell, maybe not QUITE 16 years, but it sure isn't for lack of trying.

I hope that next, the FBI will come knocking on the doors of everyone in the war room of the Willard Hotel: The Stevie 3-chins, Rudy-hair dyes, Rodger-weird glasses. the planners (extra points if they can get Mr. Green Bay Sweep with the scarf no less because nothing says tough guy like a cashmere scarf) of a coup who seem to think that foiled, they can just walk away like nothing ever happened.
