Mixed messages coming from the North. Possibly like China they are shocked at the unfolding events in Ukraine, as if Russia is not actually what they thought it was.

sick, hungry, ailing people while the communist dictator play with his rockets, no matter how many history books you read its really hard to find a single communist state without an evil dictator

Just letting the world know "rocket man" is still around.

Like it or not, Kim will succeed in mounting miniaturized nuclear warheads on those ICBM's he's been developing (successfully, so far).

No amount of sanctions is going to stop him.

Brace yourselves for the ugly reality to unfold.

There is a positive side to these bravado launches - although not for the long suffering citizens of NK.

Since the covid pandemic started there have been almost 30 missile launches into the sea.

Poverty wracked, resource starved NK does not have an infinite supply of such missiles.

The cost of production must be an enormous drain.

The more in the sea close to them the better.

Shelves must be beginning to look bare-ish.

This, and china/Russia’s bomber run shows that these 3 belligerents are very much in coordination to antagonize US/Japan alliance.

Japan and the US should be using this as an opportunity to test and practice using anti missile defense systems and blow his ICBM's out of the sky as soon as they leave NK airspace and show rocket man that his tests are worthless.

under snoozing granpa = not gonna happen

The launches took place as North Korea made a much-disputed claim that its first domestic COVID-19 outbreak was weakening.

North Korea is making their priorities clear now, the population can be decimated by the pandemic without problem as long as their military power can be flaunted. This was a moment where having a rational discussion with the international community would have lead to life saving medicines and vaccines to be made available for North Korean people that need them, but instead Kim chooses to antagonize with threats of nuclear war. Sad to think about the poor people of the country that are kept hostage by their government.

@James No need to test!! All the trajectory, and heat analysis along with the footprint is all WE need to know!! I wish I could say more but lose lips sink ships! Enough said!

The constitution defines North Korea as "a dictatorship of people's democracy" under the leadership of the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK), which is given legal supremacy over other political parties.

a dictatorship of people's democracy

Try to get your mind round that one! In reality it's a Dictatorship under monarchy!

Fat Boy wants aid for the millions there with "fever?"

If North Korea wants Covid vaccines, we should offer to trade them for their missiles.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

This is exactly why NK should not be getting any vaccine assistance. I could see if China was sending vaccine to them, but western and allied nations should let lil Kim not have any lee way to spend more money on launching and building missiles instead of dispensing vaccine and supporting healthcare facilities to stop his people from getting sick.

The ROK and USFK also fired missiles toward Japan in retaliation.

https://www.nknews.org/2022/05/us-and-south-korea-fire-two-missiles-in-response-to-north-korean-icbm-jcs/

The U.S. and South Korea jointly fired two missiles into the East Sea on Wednesday in response to North Korea’s test of a suspected intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM) and two other missiles earlier in the morning, according to Seoul’s Joint Chiefs of Staff (JCS).

The two missiles that the U.S. and ROK fired in response were a South Korean Hyunmoo-II missile and a surface-to-surface missile from the U.S. Army Tactical Missile System (ATACMS), according to JCS. The former Moon Jae-in administration similarly responded to an ICBM in March but also fired a ship-to-surface cruise missile and air-to-surface missiles.

@kaimycahl

When I say test I just mean shoot them out of the sky.

Imagine every rocket he fires is obliterated shortly after he fires it.

He wouldn't know what happened I bet he would end up saying malfunction and shot more and if those are obliterated... well he would soon run out or if he doesn't fire any more even better. Imagine how Kim would lose face in front of his subordinates if he cant get his missile up

Kyo wa Heiwa@ walked right into that one! Happy to hear though!

It would be considered an act of war to destroy another nation’s military equipment if it is not threatening you.

Besides, a lot more intelligence and data can be gathered by letting the missile fly its course. AD systems are already tested on dummy missiles, and the operators have training simulation program software that is like the real thing, just with no physical missile launch.

Didn't President Of The United States Of America Mr. Joe Biden leave Japan around the same time these killer missiles blasted off into Earths orbit?

What does it take for man to know his limit?!

Ricky

Its sarcasm !

Perhaps you've heard of it ?

Those three missile addicted , Russia, China, North Korea , but also some others, all those with space programs too, they fire missiles in wars or for tests and burn fossils and blow CO2 into the air at significant levels like crazy, and then have the guts to tell us all to drive EV or replace some plastic straws by paper ones and don’t use plastic bags but carry the shopped grocery products barehanded? They all quickly belong into the psychiatry and that better still today than tomorrow.

you do realize that the “sick, hungry, ailing people” are the result of US lead, collective punishment, sanctions? Possibly because they lost the Korean War?

-6 ( +1 / -7 )

He should of done it on Tuesday !

-8 ( +3 / -11 )

@finally rich

While the communist dictator plays with his rockets

Obviously you are not aware of the fact that North Korea isn't communist anymore !

Hence the name - DPRK - the Democratic People's Repulic of Korea.

North Korea is a socialist state and referred to as "JUCHE "
