Shanghai lockdown snarls world's busiest port and China supply chains

I'm very glad their port's seized-up - the world doesn't need any more of the junk which they try and cover this planet with.

I never buy anything with the words 'Made in China' stamped on it, not since the pathological liars announced that the Chinavirus didn't emanate from their filthy wet-markets or their dubious insecure bio-labs......

Until the horrendous CCP face up to the rest of the world to apologise for the 5.5 million deaths and more than 3 billion infections caused, and then follow-up with suitable compensations, then China remains a pariah state.

Simple solution that should have been implemented already, move your source of supply to a diversity of other countries, there are plenty of developing countries that would benefit from the business, will give tax breaks and incentives and are now cheaper labour than China.

Let us not forget the horrors being perpetrated in China from genocide and oppression to live harvesting of organs.

Not only is Shanghai's grinding coronavirus lock down is slowly clogging China's supply chains. I saw on twitter yesterday where people are so tired of being confined to their homes because they can't leave to get food or work to pay bills they are hanging themselves and jumping out of high rise apartments tumbling 3-4 times before hitting the ground! It was scary!

There are plenty of developing countries that would benefit from the business, will give tax breaks and incentives and are now cheaper labour than China.

To a degree that is very true but many of those nations do not have the infrastructure to compete with China. They lack the ports, roads, railways and airports necessary to support a high volume of commerce. When they do have these facilities they were often built and operated by Chinese companies with Chinese funding to support Chinese interests there.

My wife talks to family in Shanghai every day by phone and often by Wechat.

Undoubtedly, the lockdown has a bad negative impact on China's trade.

However, that could be the only way at the moment to control the surging virus spread.

Hope things would return to normal at the soonest.
