In America the right to own a weapon is a civil right. The are many many things that people use that cause deaths. Automobiles are a leading cause of death. Lives matter so ban cars? Unhealthy foods cause lead to hundreds of thousands of deaths- Luves matter so ban certain unapproved food? Living in a free society requires difficult trade offs. The alternative is living in a society in which big brother requires everyone to live their lives exactly the same as everyone else. That is the Chinese model of one party rule. It seems the global Left, like their leftist cousins in China are envious of the one party rule model of government. No thank you.
