Trump - so far off the mark.
It was only in October, I was watching Trump preaching to the converted at one of his "Yoll Rallies" where he had cried "Who's gonna pay for the Wall" and the resounding reply was , "Mex - i - co, Mex - i - co, Mex - i - co" and the smarmy one - well just smarmied.
Two months on and now The Man Leopard is changing his spots and says the Democrats are putting American lives in danger because they won't fund the wall - conveniently forgetting a not so few Repubs are against his Wall-mongering. I mean - this guy is pure vaudeville (apologies to the real talent).
And this excerpt from the article -
"...The president made it very clear: He does want a border wall. He does want border security. He wants to protect the American people," White House spokesman Hogan Gidley told reporters on Friday...",
just sums it all up. The great Nationalist Lie - we are only interested in the welfare of citizens.
Ha - spare me - Ha.
If Trump et al were interested in the safety of US citizens, the first place they should focus is on the tens of thousands of gun deaths every year by US citizens on US citizens.
Spooking the public about the criminals & rapists - with knives between clenched teeth - who are poised to spring o'er the fence to attack.
Go Rinny!!!

We're getting the wall with or more likely without Democrat cooperation.
Strangerland
Well if it's going to happen, it will be without that cooperation.
I'm wondering how you think that will happen though.

WRONG
President Donald Trump’s vision of a sea-to-sea wall on the U.S.-Mexico border is running into an unexpected obstacle: opposition from Republicans in Texas, where most of the unfenced land is located.

Then the Mexicans will just use ladders even if it is built
lincolnman
Then why didn't you get it done over the past 2 years when Republicans had all three branches?
And why isn't Mexico paying for it?
Bring on the "Trump Shutdown" - we'll get those disapproval rating up to 80%....

Great!

Yes, and Home Depot has great deals on ladders. A 20 dollar ladder to go over a 200B dollar wall. Always have worked and always will.
SuperLib
The government will most likely be shut down, and Trump will take to twitter to blame Democrats despite his remarks earlier in the week.
It’s just how he operates.
NCIS Reruns
Cutting off the government's money is as good a way as any to drain the swamp, no?
ClippetyClop
Their cheapest one is selling for $91, so you'd probably need a few of your friends from the caravan to all pitch in. Fortunately you'd all be able to breeze right up to the wall as it probably won't be see through, then leisurely climb it. In fact, I'm sure there will be loads of abandoned ladders scattered around it within a few months. The view from the top of the wall will be lovely.
Ah_so
But you'd have to be in the US in the first place to buy one.
Unless the wall is to stop Americans escaping
mukashiyokatta
There will be no wall, because the American people overwhelmingly oppose such a thing.
bass4funk
Ok, now the reality..

"We're getting the wall with or more likely without Democrat cooperation......well since republicans hold power it should be easy shouldn't it?"
Nah, too many RINOS among the Republicans.
"Then the Mexicans will just use ladders even if it is built"
Them ladders be pretty inefficient being as how when illegal entry goes way down in the areas where we have a wall. And recently it's more the Hondurans than the Mexicans. Please try to keep up.
There will be no wall, because the American people overwhelmingly oppose such a thing
That statement has no basis in reality.
Strangerland
Americans support a border wall more than the media wants to believe, claims the media that wants you to believe that that Americans support the wall more than they actually do.
Ironic.
Strangerland
Wow, the bubble has gotten so thick, that not only do you claim fake news as real, now you are claiming real news as fake! Bubble-land is Bizarro world!

Not sure yet on if there will be a gov't shutdown but Trump did shut down the White House press Christmas Party. Trump should tweet: "Six- and seven-figure hacks in outrage for not being wined and dined on taxpayer money."
Chip Star
Absolutely! Why don't libs understand that opinion pieces from over a year ago are solid evidence? Har! Oh my . . . ROFL! Smh. Kudos!
Chip Star
This is a perfect example of how us conservatives operate: when we have nothing of substance, we deflect and obfuscate. HAR! Oh my . . .
SuperLib
We've been over the statistics for support of the wall. A dozen times. The only response has been, "I'm from California so I know the statistics are false."
Chip Star
We've been over a lot of facts a lot of times. You libs just don't get that our conservative feelings - mainly fear - override your logic and facts! Lol!
lincolnman
Trumpers blogging from the far-right bubble talking about reality...that's like Harvey Wienstein talking about the #MeToo movement...
Trump shut down the party because his lawyers wouldn't let him hold it at Trump tower so he could gouge the government (our tax $) again...
