She should switch party, she do not have a vote of confidence

Not a team player when it really matters. If Democrats loose their legislative majorities in the 2022 elections she and Mr. Manchin are to blame. The public elected Democrats to get things done and all they have done is stand in the way. They are going to be the party's downfall. MLK warned us about white moderates who value stability over all else standing in the way of justice. She and Mr. Manchin are exhibits A and B.

3 ( +9 / -6 )

Sinema and Manchin have been rogue for some time now. It makes one wonder if they’ve been to Mar-a-Lago yet to kiss Trump’s hiney.

-4 ( +3 / -7 )

DINO Sinema's been signaling for some time now that she has other priorities than politics for the many when she can feather her nest comfortably with green from the few who will help her to "build back better" for her own future material needs. In the "land of opportunity" you don't need a high IQ to figure out which side butters your bread best. The dithering Dems mustn't waste any more time on Sinema's grandstanding ego shtick: PRIMARY her ASAP!

-1 ( +2 / -3 )

Not a team player when it really matters.

Because she basically kept the country falling from a cliff and essentially saving her party from complete destruction?

If Democrats loose their legislative majorities in the 2022 elections

Not a question of if…

she and Mr. Manchin are to blame. The public elected Democrats to get things done and all they have done is stand in the way. They are going to be the party's downfall.

Actually, had they’d gone along with blowing up the filibuster and the Lewis voting rights law, they would have blown themselves up as a party would definitely be out of thr 2024 race and then once Republicans take over, what do you think would happen now that the filibuster is gone? They made that mistake with Reid and weren’t for him, the Supreme Court would still be a liberal activist institution.

MLK warned us about white moderates who value stability over all else standing in the way of justice. She and Mr. Manchin are exhibits A and B

Just utter laughable nonsense.

Oh I see. It has nothing to do with the overall lousy job of the potus and the economy of the U.S. circling down the drain?

Republicans take over

That's fine with me as long as it's not Trump. Remember that Republicans started Obamacare. Let's vote for Chris Christie. Is this possible? Because Trump people only want Trump. In fact they all think that Trump is still president since they all believe that Hunter helped Biden steal the election. Also Trump hates Desantis, so is it possible to have a person who is not Trump? Patrick Crusius is a Trump person

Gas prices in the USA are among the cheapest in the world. Also the Trump wall and Trump care were both a joke

Bingo. By the end of the year, the Dems will be thanking her.

-6 ( +3 / -9 )

Both she and Manchin should sober up to the reality that the democrat party has lost their collective mind, gone full-on socialist/commie, and the best thing to do is join the Republican party to save the country from the radical leftist agenda.

-6 ( +4 / -10 )

gone full-on socialist/commie

What does this mean exactly?

3 ( +8 / -5 )

This type of behavior was celebrated by Dems when RINOs did it.

How brave! Country over party! What a “maverick”!!

-6 ( +2 / -8 )

I posted that in representative government the elected officials should be voting what the people who elected them want.

i was told by liberals here that’s wrong. These people need to vote what they personally think is right without playing for the team. McCain and Romney are heroes they said!

so you are welcome, enjoy what you created. You even use DINO now after claiming no such thing as RINO.

Exactly.

It's weird seeing Republicans rush to Sinema's defense and complain about a single censure when their own party used the censure at least ten times in the last year alone for members of their own party rebuking Trump.

Her poll numbers among Dems were terrible back in November, before the her red dress filibuster debacle. She would LOSE badly to a primary challenger.

Not so hard to understand, personally I was hoping it would pass because:

1) that would have been the end of the Democrat party.

2) When Republicans take power the Dems are screwed especially the filibuster done.

3) By defeating these measures she saved the Dems from total destruction. Once they come back to their senses the Dems will realize she did them a huge favor.

Her poll numbers among Dems were terrible back in November, before the her red dress filibuster debacle. She would LOSE badly to a primary challenger.

That’s ok, because the biggest hurdle is over with regardless of who they put in, the measures to pack the Supreme Court, push for voting rights, blowup the filibuster, pass CRT, the country doesn’t want none of this crap and this is why they keep losing and losing and losing and they still despite all of these humiliating losses double down and think they need to be more radical. Again, Youngkin, Trump, DeSantis understand this and this is why they’re popular, you get and feel the pulse of the people, not push your radical agenda. Look, O’Rourke wants to be the next governor of Texas, but he’s campaigning on wanting to take away our assault rifles. In Texas…..who is this guy kidding? He will never win and yet, another example of how far gone the left is. They can blame Trump all day for their excuses, but it’s the party and Biden that pushed all this and it was the American people that finally said, No on all of this junk!

-9 ( +1 / -10 )

The whole situation's absurd anyway. The fate of legislation should not come down to one or two members of a legislature in which each State has two Senators elected by popular vote regardless of their population sizes. It basically turns the least populated states into rotten boroughs.

rush to Sinema's defense and complain

I’m not defending her or complaining.

I enjoy this because it very publicly shows Dems can’t govern nor get anything of substance done for the American people. Biden’s only “good point” was that he can unite people.

total failure even on that.

-6 ( +2 / -8 )

and then the GOP would proceed to do absolutely anything they want on a straight party line vote

but they haven’t when they should have. . Every time Repubs get power they try to take the high road and take the moral stance and don’t even use the power they have.

but this time Dems have gone too far with the partisan attacks and lies. So I do expect there will be enough MAGA types elected by then to go scorched earth on Democrats. Can’t wait to see it.

-7 ( +1 / -8 )

-When one party need only negotiate with itself, policy will inextricably be pushed from the middle towards the extremes.

True.

It is good to see someone in politics who doesn't want to see America divided like the Middle East or 1970s Belfast, and is brave enough to take a stand on it.

If Biden doesn't revive the political centre in US politics, with a Republican supreme court in place for a generation, the next Republican regime will be very grim.

Just utter laughable nonsense.

Desert Tortoise is totally on target as illustrated by a typical weak and nonsensical reply. Obstruction of a progressive agenda that would benefit a majority of the population is the goal of these "moderates" on both sides of the aisle.

When the alternative is that all of this progressive liberal nonsense would become law, absolutely! America is a center right country, not a socialist one.

Let me introduce you to the New Deal and the corporate tax rates under Kennedy and Eisenhower. More ahistorical nonsense from Blacklabel.

push for voting rights, blowup the filibuster, pass CRT,

What does "pass CRT" mean? Is CRT a bill? And what's wrong with voting rights?

the country doesn’t want none of this crap and this is why they keep losing and losing and losing

I think you are forgetting who won the presidency and both houses of congress a little over a year ago. You are also forgetting that the "crap" that Democrats are trying to get passed is on the whole supported by a majority of Americans.

O’Rourke wants to be the next governor of Texas, but he’s campaigning on wanting to take away our assault rifles.

Oh dear. The founding fathers surely had every Joe Schmoe with an open-carry assault rifle in mind when they used the phrase "well-regulated militia".

it was the American people that finally said, No on all of this junk!

Fun fact!

@Black

I do expect there will be enough MAGA types elected by then to go scorched earth on Democrats. Can’t wait to see it.

That's your vision for a better America? Or bitter America?

you can’t get anything done or passed.

You really think the Senate GOP would work with Senate Democrats on anything? They've proven that they won't. The dysfunction is the GOP's fault, and two morons from Arizona and West Virginia.

4 ( +5 / -1 )

What does "pass CRT" mean?

“Critical Race Theory” banned now in 20 States.

I think you are forgetting who won the presidency and both houses of congress a little over a year ago.

I think you’re not realizing the majority of Americans don’t want it. When McAuliffe said that he’s tired of parents sticking their noses in and trying to tell teachers what to teach, I knew that was the end of him. There is a reason people voted for and love Youngkin and it was mostly Democrats that got him over the finish line.

You are also forgetting that the "crap" that Democrats are trying to get passed is on the whole supported by a majority of Americans.

If it were then it would have passed despite what the pundits on CNN want you to think.

-6 ( +1 / -7 )

The whole situation's absurd anyway. The fate of legislation should not come down to one or two members of a legislature in which each State has two Senators elected by popular vote regardless of their population sizes. It basically turns the least populated states into rotten boroughs

That is our system in the US and the Senate is split 50/50 so neither side has a majority so when those 2 defected, it was over. This is why you always want a solid and safe majority. But again, the Dems don’t know it, but both of these Senators saved their party from extinction.

-7 ( +1 / -8 )

What does "pass CRT" mean?

“Critical Race Theory”

Crazy Ridiculous Trumped-up = CRT - it's a non-existent issue that the far-right media and pols has fed to their viewers to scam them out of more money and votes...and it worked...

I think you are forgetting who won the presidency and both houses of congress a little over a year ago.

I think you’re not realizing the majority of Americans don’t want it.

Like Repubs in the Senate and WH in 2020....

You are also forgetting that the "crap" that Democrats are trying to get passed is on the whole supported by a majority of Americans.

If it were then it would have passed despite what the pundits on CNN want you to think.

Or you could believe the Fox News pundits who think the COVID vaccine is like Nazi experiments...

2 ( +4 / -2 )

Critical Race Theory” banned now in 20 States.

You said the Democrats want to “pass CRT”. Please explain what federal legislation you are referring to.

—supported by a majority of Americans.

If it were then it would have passed

Read my comment more carefully. I think we both know that in America popular ideas do not always get passed into law by congress.

4 ( +5 / -1 )

Like Repubs in the Senate and WH in 2020....

More like the Democrats 2022-2024

You said the Democrats want to “pass CRT”.

No, because it is already banned in 20 States, we can all relax now. That’s the result I wanted.

Read my comment more carefully.

I did, but especially the Dems ideas are the most rejected. Case in point: defunding the police, how’s that idea working out?

-5 ( +1 / -6 )

You said the Democrats want to “pass CRT”.

No, because it is already banned in 20 States, we can all relax now. That’s the result I wanted.

You do not even know what CRT is. Teaching the history of the Tuskegee experiments and the Tulsa riots is CRT. For the right t is a "cultural Marxism", which also doesn't exist, meme.
