Tay Boon Keh, 66, had pleaded guilty to charges of swapping the tag

Did the travelers get back their bags? If he swapped the tags it might be difficult to identify the original bags.

Jail time is not enough, he should be fined the amount for the compensation the airlines had to pay for the lost bags and more.

Given any lost luggage is compensated around $US 300, it is just enough to cover for the cost of an average luggage itself without the contents. Tay Boon Keh created an unthinkable crime and sin, as many travellers might put their important medicines, best clothes, and gifts inside their luggage. Worst, he might have tarnished the brand image of the best airport in the world. Spending only 20 days in jail seems to be so lenient for the nature of his evilness.

Singaporean, no surprises there. They've all been suppressed so long and made to live a lie all their life, it's no wonder most have the EQ of a peanut, you just never know when they might react badly to you.

I am truely sorry for the 300 odd travellers (whatever their circumstances) affected by this peanut of a man.

So does he get to keep all the blame, or will the people who ignored his pleas for help also get a piece?
