During his time leading Singapore Lee Kuan Yew used to counsel Chinese leaders that censoring the internet was futile and not worth the great effort China expended on this endeavor. Now one of his successors decides to follow the CCP/PRC model and attempt to censor the internet. One wonders what the late Mr. Lee would think of this?

China, Russia, Iran, now Singapore. The West will be doing this soon too. Governments taking back control of their online borders, destroying Web 2.0 services and the benefits of technology, magnifying individual cases as an excuse to block millions from interacting with each other. It's digital fascism, coming your way soon.
