Mexico really is dangerous!

2 ( +3 / -1 )

Everything is relative, sure Mexico seems to be so dangerous, but this was on the OUTSKIRTS of Cancun, not in downtown CanCun, not in the middle of a major hotel, disco etc..just do hope is does not become another crap hole like Acapulco has already become. (The Mexican government, army etc...better find out who was stupid enough to do this anywhere near CanCun ASAP!!)

" When Guns are OUTLAWED, only OUTLAWS will have GUNS ". The Mexican Government REVOKED a Mexicans RIGHT to own a gun 15 years ago. NOW look at the place.

Yes, when it's your own country and not, say, China, excuses start coming out. I guess you missed this part:

More than 70,000 people have been killed in drug-related violence in Mexico since 2007.

Man I just moved from the most dangerous city in Mexico to the safest, Cancún and now this? But as maglev101 says, the goverment will not allow something like this again, they get big money from tourism.

THe fact that the attack was aimed at taxi drivers suggest that drugs might be involved.

Taxi drivers?? That explains it!! Many taxi drivers are actually on the take from the narco cartels!! You get "innocent looking" taxis driving around any town in Mexico, but some are lookouts for certain mafias, they already have legal radio communication, speak in code to give their "masters" a heads up when the Mexican army, police or rival drug lords are rolling in. So my guess these "taxi drivers" were not so innocent and playing with fire and they ended up getting burned!! Cancun or not, fire is fire!!
