Snowden flying to Caracas via Moscow

Moscow is lovely at this time of year.

That said, Snowden seems intent on pissing people off. Too bad - Whatever his intentions were, now he simply appears to be a lunatic. His revelations are being subsumed by his actions.

Great, so we're taping everyone in the world, even China. Those guys must be pretty busy.

Even you must accept the reality that Snowden is going to get what's coming to him, one way or another, tomorrow, next month, or ten years from now no matter where he ends up. He had a chance at standing trial, fair or otherwise, but with every new revelation out of his mouth he's tightening the noose around his neck. He'll be lucky if he ever finds himself in an American courtroom at the rate he's going. He will never outrun this.

As I have said from the beginning, had Snowden turned himself in right away, got a lawyer and went through the legal process, I wouldn't have a problem with it, but the way he is going now is beyond suicidal, not to mention, he is looking more and more unhinged.

It's a very rare occasion, but yes, you are absolutely correct.

I am sure the government will find some way to kill him, perhaps send a drone after him or an assassin. Our government has always been good at finding ways to kill someone and we brag about it. I am glad the man did what he did for we get to find out what our government is doing to us. But he knew from the beginning his future was limited. Yes there is no question that it is illegal and I am sure he know that. If he is caught there will be all hell to pay.

But come on, how safe is are top secret information is we have it parceled out to corporations now? A secret is a secret until one other person knows it, then all bets are off. After all information is what gets sold these days at high price, including that information the government gets on all of us. We are the only people who don't get paid for it.

Ecuador? Really? Just don't speak out against the government and you'll be ok.

Condoning the sacrifice any sort of privacy and individual freedoms that people fought hard for during the whole 20th century and accepting living in a Police State that sceretly oversteps the mandate given by its own people and spy on foreign sovereign friendly nation's citizen unlawfully because of a few terrorists zealots (and that's the official excuse , they'd find another if need be ) and still label naive people who find this outrageous is pretty nervy

One can act like a Wehrmacht officer of WWII watching the crimes in the rear and not saying nothing , carrying on with the quiet reserve officer life and don't take any risks , but this man , Ed Snowden , in full awareness all the consequences and powerful vested interests invlved , still decided to sacrifice everything for what he believed was morally right to tell to the people in America and in the rest of the world that want to remain free from government and corporate control , he's definetely a hero

Without brave and independent thinking men like Ed , you cannot make your society better , you can't make people of aware of what 's wrong and improve it , to reduce his action to an ego flattering adventure is missing the point of his action completely in my opinion

Does he have duel citizenship to another country? I thought you couldn't get into Cuba, even for a quick stop, with a U.S. Passport unless you were Cuban.
