Tosaken, this guy was on the side being supported by the anti-terrorist alliance. (ie friendly) The kidnappers could well be al-Shabab fighters. (The ones who might need housing in your well-known prison.)

I wonder if he might turn up in a well known prison in Cuba a few weeks from now? Oh, sorry, now the saviour has replaced the burning bush these things no longer happen, (do they?).
