Same as Japan. People go to universities learning whatever then complain not finding jobs.
You go to university to learn a trade.

I think you are confusing University with technical school....
Universities are in essence places where you learn to think and apply your knowledge.

Daniel Neagari: a PhD in 15th century Spanish is not going to give much jobs than if you learned CS/chemistry/electronics/etc.
Doesn't necessarily means that old Spanish is useless but you'll have a hard time finding a job.
A lot of subjects go nowhere in the real world.
The youth shouldn't complain if it is hard to find a job then.

You don't just give up on the youth of a nation, no matter the nation. Learning a subject doesn't necessarily have to have a one to one relationship with work. Many transferable skills, in fact Humanities requires that. STEM is different and while might be direct in most cases also is not, just with many technical transferable skills too. Nothing is so simplistic
