Where? As of today, South Korea has a vaccination rate of approximately 79.5%-82.5%.

Mr Kipling
Rob...
No, its 42%
Intensive care is probably 90% plus non vaccinated.
Kumagaijin
83% according to this site...

Anything over 70% should give a healthy population herd immunity according to Tony "I am Science" Fauci. No, wait, now its 75, 80, 85%.
Ubesh
I come from a family of doctors and I am a supporter of vaccines, but anyone who is saying that Fauci and Biden have handled this well automatically gets no attention from me. And we do need to be talking about whether vaccines become risky if it transpires that we will need six or eight of them.

South Korea like South Africa are honest with the numbers. Their governments seem to truly have the people's best interest in mind to keep them and others safe. Countries like China, Japan, and the former US administration are only concerned about maintaining power and avoiding embarrassment. That is why all of their people have been suffering.
bass4funk
You serious???
Not so sure about that one, more people have died during this administration and we still can’t get accurate numbers from the government that said they would get the virus under control.
There are many reasons for this and you’re correct on one of them.
Matt Hartwell
Doesnt matter if its 100%, because the vaccines we have are second rate at this point and breakthroughs are significant enough to put the hospital system under signicant stress.
You have to do it all basically, keep the spread down, keep the vaccine rate up, impose other social limitations like masks, distancing etc. Thats really the only way a country can continue to function enough to sustain its approach.
Until we get vaccines that work at least.
hattorikun
Hello Numan! When you claim someone/government is honest/dishonest, please prove it! I don’t know how honest or dishonest the JP gov has been but we have not been suffering as you mentioned. Am not sure about other countries.

A Lancet study is showing that the vaccines are now increasing vulnerability to Covid rather than protecting from it:
Vaccines are not stopping the transmission of the virus and they may not even be slowing it any longer.
So successful vaccine rollouts have failed to stop Covid transmission, with new data showing the prevalence of the virus increasing in fully jabbed individuals, according to another medical study in The Lancet. Examining new infections in Germany, researchers found that the rate of cases among fully vaccinated individuals aged 60 and older has risen from 16.9% in July to 58.9% in October.

wow, 250 people in a study??? Fantastic, their findings must surely equate in the same way to millions .
one very small study, scientific fact does not make.

@hattorikun
Nicely said.

@Bass
Not surprising about this statement.
Biden has only been in office for ten months to fix all the mistakes the trump's administration took 4 years to destroy or sabotage. Deaths and incompetence from the former administrations did not automatically stop after trump was voted out of office. The country is still dealing with the effects just like China and Japan after Abe and Suga.

@hattorikun
A clear sign of the failure of the government and suffering of its people is the resignation of two PMs during a pandemic. One for political scandals and incompetence and the other because of only incompetence.
Do you need proof for that too?
Iron Lad
@Numan
PMs can resign like flies as long as the people aren't suffering.
Bordeaux
People are suffering if they are not satisfied with their leadership. PMs who realize that they will not be re-elected resign or do not seek re-election.

Back on topic please.

South Korea was a country that was so on top of the original outbreak it’s difficult to believe they slipped so badly. Vaccinations don’t stop the spread. They only lessen the chance of those infected ending up in the ICU.
Mr Kipling
Kumagaijin...
This site is nonsense...... Look how the rate ticker is going up at all times of day and night.
Mine was from The South Korean health ministry.
